Dr. Ronald Stangebye is a native of northwest Indiana. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Purdue University in electrical engineering before pursuing his dental career at Indiana University School of Dentistry. Over the past 31 years, he has built a practice here in Michiana that is focused on the latest advances in dentistry in a comfortable, personalized environment. Dr.Stangebye has a special interest in helping those who have lost their natural teeth, reclaim their smile, whether it be a single tooth or entire mouth replacement. He also specializes in using Oral Conscious Sedation to ensure patients that are fearful of the dentist have a positive experience and receive the dental care they need without their dental fears holding them back.
Dr. Stangebye is a member of the American Dental Association, the Indiana Dental Association, the Northern Indiana Dental Association, the American Academy of Facial Esthethics,anda fellow in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He is a graduate of the Misch International Institute for Implantology. In 2003, Dr. Stangebye was certified in Oral Conscious Sedation, he has been successfully using it ever since. He has also been certified in intravenous sedation since 2005.
Dr. Stangebye, his wife and four children have enjoyed living in the Michiana area for over 31 years. Dr. Stangbye 's family is starting to grow! He and his wife, Sue enjoy their 5 grandchildren, Gwendy, Bruce, Lars, Imelda Joy and Henry. He enjoys spending as much time with them as he can. He also loves playing with their Newfoundland, Thor, as well as rescuing and caring for homeless cats. He enjoys the outdoors, motorcycling, rock climbing, hiking and traveling with his family. He also enjoys going to estate sales and antiquing with his wife. Most recently, his family has enjoyed working through 'escape rooms' together.
Dentistry is always evolving. Dr. Stangebye is continuously participating in continuing education classes in order to stay current with the latest advances in that Dentistry has to offer. Dr. Stangebye invites you become part of his dental family that is conveniently located in the heart of Granger, IN, near the Heritage Square shopping center.
Dr. Stangebyes clinical staff are specially trained and dedicated to practicing the highest quality of dentistry available. They greet their patients with a smile and make their visit as comfortable as possible. Sara, Janine, Tamara, and Vicki have over 109 years combined in the dental field and play an integral role as expanded function dental assistants in the procedures to ensure that the patient's experience is a positive one.
Our hygienists provide our patients with their 'Gentle Dental' cleaning! Melissa, Amy, and Vicki take great pride in educating patients on maintaining their smiles for a lifetime. Many of our patients have known their personal hygienist at our office for years and look forward to their cleaning not only to get their teeth sparkling clean, but also to spend time with these fun and energetic people!
All our staff are fully trained and educated in dentistry, as well as CPR. They are fully trained to respond to any emergency.Advance Dental owns an AED (automatic electronic defibrillator), and each room has oxygen supplied. Each staff member participates in continuing education courses that comply with the ADA and CDC guidelines, including OSHA and HIPPA training. Our office continues to take extra precautions to keep our patients safe. Rest assured you are always in capable hands!

The entire staff is so friendly and welcoming. You truly feel like part of the family. Melissa is the absolute BEST hygienist. She's funny and always shares great stories with me about her doggies and her own family. Sue is so cool. I always hope to see her when I'm there because she has the best smile and laugh that really makes my day. So it's the best experience you can have at the dentist. I would recommend Advance Dental to everyone

You're in good hands with Doctor Stangbye and Advanced Dental. I have been a patient since 2010 and they have been with me and my family through all the up and downs. Their attention to detail is wonderful. Whether it's the dental hygienist, Doc, or the front office staff I'm in good hands. I love the personal touch and how they get to know me as a person rather than just another appointment for the day! I can't recommend them enough.

A+++ Wonderful experience with Sr. Stangebye and his staff! I hadn't been to the dentist in 20yrs. Dr. Stangebye is very kind, an excellent dentist as is his dental hygienist. All staff are extremely efficient and incredible technology. I was well informed during the entire exam and left knowing results of exam, next steps and potential financial responsibility. Great experience!!!

I've been going to Dr. Stangebye since I can remember. He's the most kind, gentle and caring dentist I have ever known. I tried another clinic for about a year and they didn't come close to comparing how well Advance Dental treats their clients. I've never had a bad experience here and I've been a client with them for 20+ years. When I go to see my dental hygienist, Melissa, its like I'm visiting a friend that I haven't seen in 6 months. One of the many things I truly appreciate about them is that they never force unnecessary treatment to squeeze a penny out of you, they care more about keeping your teeth naturally healthy to the best of their ability. Anytime I have a friend or colleague that is looking for a new dentist I always highly recommend Dr. Stangebye without hesitation. I've had a few friends take my advice and they are now life long clients because of how much they enjoy Advance Dental. This office is the best and the people are absolutely wonderful.

This is the best dental office to join! I have been recieving care here for the last 4 years and it has been wonderful. Melissa is the best hygenist I've ever been to. Melissa's work is careful, thorough and gentle and she is always positive and happy to see you, just love her. The same goes for the office staff, professional, happy and like family. Dr Stangeby is professional and thorough as well, always making sure everything is covered and concerns met. Don't hesitate to make an appointment, you can cross it off your list!
