I graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science degree from Lyman Briggs Honor College in chemistry and physics. I then went on to graduate from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in 1985 with my Doctorate of Dental Surgery.
I am committed to lifelong learning and pursuing excellence in all I do. Since completing dental school over 28 years ago, I have attended countless continuing education programs in all aspects of dentistry, allowing myself to stay current in new dental advancements and techniques. By staying up to date, I am able to provide my patients with the best care available.
As a native of Grand Rapids, MI, I have always loved my home town and always wanted to find ways to help my community. I am actively involved in mission and outreach work during my free time. I also give back to the community through outreach programs such as Dentistry from the Heart, which offers free dental care to those in need.
My wife, Patricia, and I have been married for over 30 years. Weve been blessed with four children, and I am very honored to have one of my daughters, Alexis, join me in my dental practice. When Im not in the office, I enjoy biking, fishing, hiking, being outdoors, and spending time with family.
I am passionate about helping those especially in need of care. I have been involved in mission work with my dad and family for a long time, which is especially important to me and is the main reason I chose to enter the healthcare field.

I received a Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University in nutritional science in 2008. Moving on to dentistry, I attended the University of Detroit Mercy Dental School from which I graduated in May 2012 with my Doctorate of Dental Surgery. I am now a licensed general and cosmetic dentist in practice with my father, Dr. Richard Neuman.
Since graduating from dental school, I have attended numerous continuing education courses covering topics on all aspects of dentistry. I want to provide my patients with the best possible dental care and do this by staying current on all advancements in dentistry.
I love Grand Rapids and was very excited to return here after school to join my dad in practice and help the community by providing quality dental care. I have always been an avid supporter of my fathers charity mission work and look forward to continuing his tradition of helping those in need in our community.
I have been in the dental field for over 20 years. Being the office manager, my main objective is providing patients with the best knowledge of their dental coverage and helping them with all of their dental questions. Dr. Neuman and Dr. Alexis have been amazing to work with! I love being part of such a great team.
My husband and I live on a lake in Sparta, MI, where we enjoy the summers boating and swimming. In our spare time, we love to go camping in the Upper Peninsula and to visit our favorite casinos. We also adore our energetic boxer Parris who loves to take walks!
My husband and I have two wonderful daughters. We enjoy watching them grow up and cannot wait to show them all the fun things that Grand Rapids has to offer. Every January we take a family trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, which is a great way to break up the winter season in Michigan. During our free time we enjoy going to the zoo, hanging out with friends and family, and spending time at Lake Michigan. Im very fortunate to work for such a great place and for such great people.
I have been a receptionist at Advance Dental since January 2017. I am newer to the dental field and love to learn new things every day. I graduated from Central Michigan University in 2009 with a bachelors degree in entrepreneurship. I previously worked in a salon/spa for 8 years. I enjoy working with people and have a passion for great customer service.
My husband Tyler and I have a sassy and spunky daughter McKinley. We spend our free time outside, working with the childrens ministry at our church, and enjoying time with friends and family. Im a HUGE foodie and have a love for great wine!

I have been a hygienist with Dr. Neuman for over 5 years and love working in an atmosphere where we have freedom to work hard, yet joke around a little. My husband Elijah and I are expecting our first child early 2019 and I have 2 young step-children. Josiah is 4 and Sophia is 3. We have one cat and one dog but I secretly like cats better!
Outside of work, we spend a lot of time working on our older house. However, we plan on moving into a new home in 2019. I also love to do research on diet and nutrition. I have a pretty optimistic outlook and love to educate and care for our patients.

My name is Shauna. I graduated with my dental hygiene degree from Ferris State University in 2015. I joined the team of Advance Dental in September of 2015. I was initially drawn to this practice because of their family atmosphere. Dr. Neuman and Dr. Alexis treat us like family, as they do their patients.
I love building relationships with my patients that make them comfortable and excited to come to our dental office. I genuinely care about my patients needs and helping them develop good habits for their systemic and oral health. Helping others has always been a passion of mine and Im blessed to be able to provide that through my career every day.
In my free time, I like to stay busy. In the summer, I enjoy camping, hiking, kayaking, and other outdoor adventures. In the winter months, I like to snowboard, snowmobile, and find shows/concerts to attend. Its a hobby of mine to find non-commercial restaurants in Grand Rapids with great food and drinks, so feel free to share suggestions when we meet!
I joined Dr. Neumans practice shortly after I graduated from Ross Medical School in May of 2018. I was lucky to be able to do my externship at his office and get hired in immediately after. Ive always had a fascination for the dental field since my first visit when I was a child. I always knew this was the career for me.
In my spare time, I enjoy exploring the city of Grand Rapids. I love experiencing new restaurants the city has to offer, swing dancing at Rosa Park Circle, long boarding throughout the city, and spending time with my roommates cat, Bubba G. Although my career has just started, I look forward to many years working with Dr. Neuman, Dr. Alexis, and their awesome team.
