Advance Dental has cared for families from East Hartford and the surrounding communities for over 50 years. Our caring team, under the guidance of Drs. Colin Ress and Sunit Jain, manage everything from routine exams to implants and cosmetic dentistry.
Dr Lewis Colin Ress attended the Indiana University school of dentistry at Indianapolis, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1984. He worked in private practice in Indiana for four years prior to permanently relocating to Connecticut. Dr. Ress has been practicing at Advanced Dental Care in East Hartford for over 30 years. He has been recognized as a top dentist by the Consumer Research Council of America several times throughout his career.
Dr. Ress is certificated in Invisalign and has completed certification course with Maxicourse in Oral Implantology along with several other Implant and Oral Surgical related courses. He has a passion for learning the latest techniques and technology to the benefit of his patients.
Dr. Sunit Jain is a American board-certified dentist who graduated with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. He has a very pleasant demeanor with great clinical knowledge. His areas of expertise consist of restorative dentistry and oral surgery, which includes crowns, extractions, bone grafts and root canals. His other interests include staying current with the most up-to-date dental techniques, materials, and dental technology. He is member of multiple organization including International Dental Implant Association (IDIA), ADA and in process of fellowship of IDIA.
Dr. Jain has over nine years of experience in the dental industry. He has worked as an associate for two dental practices gaining valuable experience, before joining Advance Family Dental. His dental care goals are to provide comprehensive care which best addresses patients' concerns and oral health needs. He takes a conservative approach in his clinical decision-making and wants patients to be comfortable and involved in their treatment. His patients describe him as very attentive, honest, professional and always willing to listen.
Dr. Steven Cosgrove was born and raised in the bordertown of El Paso, Texas. He graduated with a B.S. in Biochemistry from Arizona State University. Steven moved to Connecticut and obtained his DMD from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. After dental school, he attended a General Practice Residency at Hartford Hospital. Dr. Cosgrove loves Connecticut, its people, tight knit community, and has made this state his home along with his wife and son. You will always get him talking with anything about public health, movies, and all the New England sports teams. He enjoys spending time outside, meeting new people and helping people feel comfortable with their smiles. Dr. Cosgrove looks forward to serving you and your family.
