Since 2015, Dr. Joshua Duffy has called the Grand Strand Area home. He began practicing dentistry in Loris, SC, having moved to the coast from his home in Easley, a small town in the upstate. Dr. Duffy attended Clemson University where he received his B.S. in Biochemistry. After Clemson, he received his M.S. in Cellular Biology from The University of Georgia. Dr. Duffy attended The University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, earning his D.M.D. degree in 2014, as well as, his certificate in interdisciplinary pain science.
Dr. Duffys practice philosophy is to prevent diseases by providing patient-centered conservative treatment tailored to the needs of each individual patient while promoting proper oral health and overall health.
She is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and completed her dental education at the Medical University of South Carolina. She then completed a two-year general practice residency at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. During her time there, she earned certifications in the placement of dental implants and conscious sedation. Dr. Suggs has advanced clinical and didactic training in general dentistry with intensive hospital experience at the post-doctoral level.
FAGD stands for Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. Earning Fellowship takes dedication to dental continuing education (CE) beyond graduation. Only about 6 percent of general dentists in the U.S. and Canada are AGD Fellows. When you see a dentist with FAGD after their name, you can rest assured that they care about knowing the latest techniques and best practices in dentistry. AGD Fellows practice these techniques in a classroom setting multiple times a year not every dentist does this.

Dr. Suggs and her staff Are awesome. I will be the first person to say I am a difficult patient. They always work me when I have an emergency. She is a perfectionist and focused on detail and I can guarantee you if it's not right she will Make it right.Dr. Duffy is awesome too and they complement each other well.

I lost an old filling on one of my molars, and my regular dentist is 4 hours away in Greenville, where I used to live. Dr. Sugg's office got me in right away, diagnosed a serious problem with the tooth and got me in to correct the problem quickly. They are awesome! Extremely personable and efficient! Guess who has a new dentist? Thank you, Dr. Suggs and staff!

Dr Suggs and the entire staff at Adult and Childrens Dentistry are fantastic. Our first visit to this practice was a few years ago when we were new to the area and did not yet have a dentist. One of my children was having a dental emergency and all of the other local dental offices I called told me they had a 3 or more month wait for an appointment and nothing available for emergencies since we were not established patients. Thankfully when I called this office they found a way to fit him in for an appointment same day. Dr Suggs was so fantastic. She examined him, determined he needed a procedure done immediately, fully explained what was going to happen and set us at ease. She was so compassionate and kind. We have been patients ever since.

Dr Courtney Suggs does a great Job and Miss Brittney flowers and staff are great they explain everything to you and after years of embarrassing dental issues. My smile is back I even have a nickname whopper boy. Haha long story but seriously highly recommend

I came to work for Dr. Suggs in January 2022...Dr. Suggs is the most caring and compassionate dentist I have ever worked for (20 years as an assistant). She is very comfortable and builds a close relationship with all of her patients. Dr. Suggs will always provided you with the best care and explain everything as she is working, she is very concerned how you are feeling through the entire procedure! I have the utmost respect for Dr. Suggs and the entire staff, we all have the same philosophy, when considering a Dentist you want honesty, compassion and capability and that is what you will experience with Dr. Suggs!

I joined the team at Adult and Children's Dentistry in Sept of last year. I feel so grateful to have found such a wonderful and family-oriented group of people to work with. Both Dr Suggs and Dr Duffy are so compassionate and caring of their patients. Having such a positive and caring team has allowed us to bring on some wonderful new members to the team. Lisa joined our front desk staff very recently and has been such a happy, bright and professional addition. I feel very blessed to be included in this group of people!

This is a safe, professional, competent, & absolutely lovely, place to get your dentistry done, ps " I hate getting drilled" absolutely hate it! If they can make me feel safe & trust them completely, they can take care of you also. I will never give a great outstanding review unless it is deserved! they earned it,

Everyone here is fantastic. Not only for my wife and I but they do an AMAZING job with our 3 kids (5-8). Dr. Suggs is great explaining everything that is happening to them as she is doing it. Haley and Brittany are great as well they deserve just as much recognition as well! I would recommend them to everyone.
