Dr. David Adams is a graduate of North Carolina State University. He completed his dental training and residency in periodontics at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in Kentucky. Upon completing his residency and Masters in Oral Biology, he moved back to his hometown of Garner and started a private practice focused on periodontal treatment and implant dentistry.
Beyond his specialty training, Dr. Adams has been examined by a panel of internationally respected peers and awarded Diplomate status the highest recognition of achievement afforded by the specialty. As a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, Dr. Adams has demonstrated motivation for continued professional development, self evaluation, critical review of results of therapy and interest in providing the best, most up to date care.
Dr. Adams is highly involved in dental organizations at both the local and national levels. He currently hosts seminars and study clubs for other dental professionals. He has given lectures at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry and presented his research at national meetings.
Dr. Adams and his wife, Tamara, also a native of Wake County, have 2daughters, Mallory and Avery, and a son, Jonathan. In his free time, Dr. Adams enjoys spending time with his family, cheering for the NCSU Wolfpack at football and basketball games, hunting, fishing, and snow skiing.
Sue is our office administrator and has keptthe office running smoothly since October 2006. Shehas over 30 years of experience in the dental field and wearsthe friendly smile you will always see when you enter our office. Sue is a native of North Carolina and now lives in Smithfield with her husbandWayne and theirdogLuna. She has two grown children, Morgan and Matt. Sue enjoys bike riding, camping, kayaking, reading, and scrapbooking.
Wendy is a DAII and Patient Care Coordinator. She has been with our practice since July 2018. She has 18 years of experience in periodontal dentistry. Wendy lives in Smithfield with her husband Todd and their dog Waylon. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, especially her two grandchildren, Tex and Amelia.
Halie is a dental assistant who graduated at the top of her class from NC Dental U in Wake Forest. She has been with our practice since March 2021. Halie is orginally from Louisburg NC. She presently lives in Wake Forest and is hoping to find a home closer to our office. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her boyfriend, Robert, and family. She also enjoys crafting and going to the beach.
Shannon is a Registered Dental Hygienist and joined our practice in January2008. She graduated in 1992 from University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill with a Bachelors ofScience in Dental Hygiene and she has 25 years of periodontal experience. Shannon and her husband Chrislive in Knightdale with their two sons, Will and Wyattand dog, Emma. For fun, Shannon likes to travel, see movies, and cook.
Ginny is a Registered Dental Hygienist and joined our practice in April 2012. She graduated in 1989 Summa Cum Laude from the University of Marylandwith a Bachelors of Sciencein Dental Hygieneand has over 30 years of periodontal experience. Ginny and her husband Tom live in Apex withtheir dog, Sophie.She has two grown children, Aidan and Erin. She enjoys traveling, shopping, reading,and going to the beach.
