Dr. Silverstein was attracted to dentistry because it allows him to have a positive impact on others' lives through professional artistry and personal service. He seeks to treat his patients with compassion and tenderness and enjoys helping people overcome their understandable dental fears. Dr. Silverstein aims to create a comfortable atmosphere for comprehensive oral healthcare, from extractions to whitening. Dave values the opportunity to help everyone get the smile they have always wanted and show them how pleasant a dental experience can truly be!
After growing up in the Kansas City area, Dr. Silverstein attended Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, where he enjoyed four years on the rowing team and earned two degrees in Neuroscience and Biology. He discovered his passion for dentistry in 2010 and graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry with honors in Oral Surgery. He went on to complete a General Practice Residency at the Truman Medical Center, also located in Kansas City. Dr. Silverstein has continued to develop his clinical skills by completing advanced courses in Cosmetics, Endodontics, and Oral Surgery.
Dr. Silverstein currently lives south of Lee's Summit with his wife, Caitlin, and their black Labrador, Huey. When he isn't practicing dentistry, he can be found near a meat smoker, pulling weeds in the garden, or fishing on the lake. He also enjoys playing guitar, sailing, SCUBA diving, and woodworking. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Silverstein is passionate about environmental sustainability and reducing his carbon footprint.

Dr. Silverstein is awesome! Very thorough and gives you advice and options. Ell was an amazing tech very personable and did a great job. Always making sure you are comfortable with what she is doing. Very professional and caring people. Won't go anywhere else.

Update: Dr. Silverstein and his team are awesome! Everytime I come in they know me by name and make me comfortable during the appointment. They always are polite and thorough in their explanations. I appreciate the discussions during treatment, always learning a little more each visit. Thank you taking the time to make me comfortable throughout my visit each and every time. The dentist and staff are efficient and conscious of time. They are thorough in explaining what the treatment is and implementing it. Everyone is friendly.

Elle and Abigail were super sweet and efficient in cleaning my teeth and identifying problems! The front desk staff were also very kind and helped me sign up for a plan to help pay for the visit. I had about as good a time as you can have at a dentist!

I just changed dentist and could not be happier. The semiannual checkup was very complete. Both the hygienist and Dentist went over the results. The results were I needed some work done. I scheduled it for the next day. In doing the additional work, the team was super professional and worked well together. I was very impressed with how they communicated and worked together. Over the course of the 2 hours that I was in the chair the dentist and 3 of his assistance were involved at some point. Each one knew their roll and jumped in and performed flawlessly. I am in awe at the professionalism and teamwork.

Can't speak highly enough of the good folks at Adams Dairy Family Dental Care. Dr Silverstein & his wonderful staff stayed very late for my cracked tooth. Anyone else would have given me a pain pill prescription & an appt for the next day. But the good Dr said he couldn't send me home in pain & ASKED his assistants if they could stay late for ME. And he called me from home to check on me. Nobody likes going to the dentist. But if you have to go wouldn't you want someone who is caring enough to stay late, compassionate enough to call you from home to check on you & a genuinely good boss to his employees? I've found my dentist.

First and foremost, this dental office is by far the best place my family and I have been to. They welcome you with friendly smiles, treat you like a person and not about running your pockets dry. My daughter had some dental work done and I was shocked when I received a call from Dr Silverstein asking me how she was doing as well as giving a compliment about how easy it was to do all the work in my daughters mouth. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. I have thanked my friend who referred me, everytime I see her. Kiddos to Dr Silverstein and the Staff at Adams Dairy Family Dental Care!!!!!

These people are super professional and very thorough. I was scared of going to the dentist for the longest time. But Dr. Silverstein made sure I was 100 percent comfortable. I love going there now. The hygienist are super nice and take care of me. The ladies at the front desk are very nice and always respectful. This place is awesome and I'd highly recommend them to anyone.
