Adam J. Barr, DDS, FAGD received his Bachelor's of Science in Management degree from Brigham Young University and graduated with honors from The University of the Pacific Dental School in San Francisco, CA in 2006. He was elected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society which is reserved for the top 12% of a graduating dental school class. Dr. Barr is an active member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Central Florida Dental Council, and Academy of General Dentistry. He has completed extensive coursework in Minimally Invasive Dentistry and enjoys the use of technology to provide the best care and highest level of service possible to his patients.
Carol is the Patient Coordinator and has been with the dental practice for 18 years. Carol was born and raised in Lake County and resides in Umatilla with her husband of 31 years, David. They have 3 children and 6 grandchildren. She says it is very rewarding to help the patients with their insurance coverage and to see their smile after having their dental work completed. Her outside interests include spending time with her family and friends and lots of outdoor activities including going to the beach and boating.
Haylee is the newest addition to the team. Her certifications include X-Ray and expanded functions from Greater Orlando Dental Assisting School. Haylee is a Florida native and resides in Umatilla with her husband Austin. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, being out on the water, and traveling, as well as being active within the Lake County community. Haylee takes pride in having a healthy smile and enjoys taking part in helping others work their way towards a confident smile as well. Haylee believes working with the amazing team at Dr. Barrs office helps her accomplish this goal.
Jordan is a Registered Dental Hygienist and has been with our practice since 2001. She obtained her Associates of Applied Sciences degree from Tallahassee Community College. Jordan was raised in Mt. Dora where she currently resides. She and her husband Price have three children, Cohen, Hayes and Hadley. They enjoy spending family time together outdoors and watching sports. Jordan loves interacting and building long lasting relationships through dentistry with her patients.
Sharon has been a Registered Dental Hygienist for over 25 years and has worked at our practice for 14 years. She received her degree in Dental Hygiene from Tallahassee Community College. She thinks of the staff as family and says 'Everyone here is so professional and cares about the patients.' She believes dental health is important to our overall health. She has detected oral cancer early in several patients and been able to help them receive the care they needed in time. She believes she is making a difference in the lives of her patients and that helps her to appreciate her job. Sharon was raised in Tavares FL and she has been married to Dale Wallace for 33 years. Dale owns and manages The Melting Pot restaurant in Longwood Fl. They have a daughter named Chelsea and a son Kyle who both graduated from Mount Dora High School. Chelsea is now a graduate from UCF and is a Registered Nurse Practitioner. Kyle is a graduate from UCF with a Business Finance degree and spent 3 years backpacking through New Zealand, Australia, and Alaska. Sharon enjoys fishing, hiking and spending time with her family.
Amber has been a dental Assistant for 17 years. Her certifications include x-ray and expanded functions from UF. She has worked in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry. The best part of her job is seeing the patients smile with confidence after going years trying to hide their teeth. She is a Florida native with two children, a boy and a girl. She loves being outdoors boating, fishing, and exploring new places. She loves her job and work family. She couldn't have found a better place to call home!
Michelle's journey in the dental field began long before she knew what dentistry was. She grew up in the dental office that her mom worked at for most of her life. She has now been working in dentistry for over 8 years. She is dedicated to assisting with all of your insurance and financial needs from verifying and maximizing your benefits to helping you understand how they work and what they cover. She loves meeting and interacting with all of the patients and watching as their smiles transform throughout treatment. Outside of work she enjoys spending her free time with her blended family of 5. She is so thankful to have found her place working with the best dental team around!

Pure professionals from the phone calls, emails, front desk staff, dental hygienists, dental assistants and, of course, Dr. Barr himself. We've lived here 2 years and were fortunate to be referred to Dr. Barr and his excellent staff. My husband, one of my sons, and I see Dr. Barr and Jordan, our dental hygienist regularly. I chipped my front tooth on a pork chop bone on Memorial Day, and was able to get in today, Thursday. Dr. Barr did his magic, and it looks better than before the incident. I don't know what " average" dental costs are, and this seems expensive, but at least you get excellent results and excellent care. We highly recommend Dr. Adam J. Barr, and plan to stay with him and Jordan.

I would highly recommend Dr. Barr for your dental needs. His chair side manner is both professional and personable. Being a "white knuckle" patient, Dr. Barr helped me feel comfortable and at ease with the procedures that I needed. His staff is friendly and professional and the office is very modern. I would highly recommend Dr Barr!

Discovered Dr Barr 8 ears ago from a neighbor's recommendation. Absolutely THE best dentist ever, and I'm 71 years old and lived a lot of places. Easy to get an appointment and if its urgent, he will definitely squeeze you in. My permanent retainer broke and a new stint at the Orthodontist would have cost me months of time and thousands & thousands of dollars. Dr. Barr offered me the alternative of a permanent bridge for less money and way less time. Excellent decision! My new bridge absolutely matches my upper crowns...I really have a very pretty smile now. I have a very pronounced and active gag reflex, and Dr Barr is always patient with me, having to stop frequently. Best of all, his Novocaine injections are completely painless....honest! Great doc, friendly and efficient staff in the front office and the techs. The only dentist I've ever seen that I don't dread going to.

I have been a patient at Dr. Barr for nearly 30 years. I started when Dr. Meeks ran the practice and stayed on when Dr. Barr took over. The entire staff is great and many are long term employees who know the patients by name. A couple of years ago a temporary crown came off on a Saturday and being an established patient I called and within the hour Dr. Barr was in the office making a new temporary crown, try that with the chain outfits. Routine dental work or cleanings are top notch. I would highly recommend choosing Dr. Barr and his staff.

I have gone to more than one dentist in the Mount Dora Area. One of them even claims to be "Advanced" in their title but after going to Dr. Barr's office and seeing his technology, his equipment, his methods etc. I can say for certain that he and his staff are far more advanced than the other dental places. Comfortable the whole time. Great Job Dr. Barr! I appreciate the new bridge.

Having a sensitive mouth and poor experiences with dentists, I was nervous about going to see Dr. Barr. He is amazing! The facility is beautiful with TVs and massage chairs in the rooms. Dr. Barr is extremely positive and didn't overcharge for procedures I didn't need. His staff is polite and friendly. I can't wait to go back!

I recently relocated to this area and selected this practice based on a number of recommendations. From my first contact with the receptionist (Carol); the assistant (Monica); the dentist (Dr. Barr); to the hygenist (Jordan), and the facility itself - allvery positive! I highly recommend them.

I was in excruciating pain and in an emergency situation. Dr. Barr's office scheduled me right in on the same day as my call. I was a first time patient and they treated me as family. Dr. Barr and his staff handled me professionally and with compassion. For someone who has always been terrified of the dentist, my experience with Dr. Barr proved differently! My dental problem was fix! I was now pain free and on the road to recovery (quicker than I ever dream). If you need a compassionate, highly qualified dentist with a great staff, Dr. Barr is the place for you.I'm grateful to have found such a dentist serving the Tri City area.

This place is amazing! They gave me my smile back and charged me half the price of what any other dentist was willing to do it for. Dr. Barr and his staff are wonderful. I've never looked so forward to go to the dentist as I did this morning!!! Thank you for my smile!!
