Dr. Trey Edwards grew up in Ada, OK, and graduated from Ada High School. He earned his undergraduate degree from Baylor University and dental degree from the Oklahoma University College of Dentistry. After dental school, Dr. Trey was accepted into a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry where he completed comprehensive training in cosmetic procedures, dental implants, and surgical procedures.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Oklahoma Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Trey enjoys being active in the local community by serving on the Ada Chamber of Commerce Board and attending H2O Church. He and his wife, Lindsey, are self-proclaimed dental nerds who enjoy adventures with their boys when away from the office.
Dr. Sharolyn Burton grew up near Wetumka, OK on a cattle ranch and graduated from Butner High School. She attended East Central University to obtain her bachelors degree while working part-time at Ada Smile Place, followed by attendance at the Oklahoma University College of Dentistry where she graduated with distinction. Upon graduation, she served the community of Newkirk, OK in public health for 3 years. She has since moved back to Ada, OK and has rejoined the Ada Smile Place team!
Dr. Burton is a member of the American Dental Association, Oklahoma Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and Red Earth Study Club. Dr. Burtons passion in dentistry is to provide gentle care to help put nervous patients at ease while improving their oral health. While away from the office, Dr. Burton loves spending her time with her husband Joshua, their daughter Elizabeth, and two lab rescues Boomer and Coco. They enjoy visiting Wintersmith park and surrounding parks as well. Dr. Burton and her family are excited to once again be a part of serving the Ada community!
Rita graduated from Roff High School and East Central University with a double major in mathematics and physics. She completed both a Master of Science degree in Metallurgical Engineering and a Master of Arts degree in Mathematics at the University of Oklahoma and completed all coursework for a PhD in mathematics education.
She worked over two years as a metallurgical engineer for AT&T; and taught math and physics at East Central University full-time for seven years and has been an adjunct professor in the mathematics department for six years.
Presently, she is the chief financial officer for the Ada Smile Place and has been working with her husband, Benny, in the dental practice since 1980. Rita loves to cook and makes freshly baked cookies every morning for the Ada Smile Team and patients to enjoy.
Lindsey was born and raised in Ada. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene after attending ECU for her prerequisites. Lindsey is also trained in orofacial myofunctional therapy.
Lindsey is a member for the American Academy of Physiological Medicine and Dentistry, American Dental Hygienists Association, Oklahoma Dental Hygienists Association. She is a firm believer in the link between oral health and overall health, as well as the importance of a healthy airway. Her passion is about educating patients and helping them achieve their goals! She loves to build relationships with her patients and provide a relaxing atmosphere in which her patients feel comfortable.
Taran was born and raised in Ada, graduated from Ada High school in 2010. She took her dental hygiene prerequisites at East Central University. Taran graduated with an associate degree from Amarillo College of Dental Hygiene.
She is a member of the American Dental Hygienist Association, Oklahoma Dental Hygienists Association and the Red Earth Study Club for Dental Hygienist. She believes that a healthy active lifestyle and good oral health contribute to a healthy life.
When Taran is not working, she is spending time with her husband Jake Williams, of Stonewall, and their two adorable daughters. Taran is very family- oriented and loves being around her extended family. She also enjoys being outside at the farm, working out and going to the lake.
She attended Mississippi State University where she earned a degree in English Education. For many years, she supported her husband, Lance, during his career as an officer in the U. S. Air Force. After his retirement, they moved their family to Ada and settled here.
Barbara has four children and four grandchildren. She enjoys reading, cooking, and crafts. She was interested in working at Ada Smile Place because of the excellent dental care she and her family received, and she became part of our team. She believes in providing a positive environment where others are supported and cared for.
Lanette was born in Ada and grew up south of Calvin. She completed a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Southeastern Oklahoma University, where she met her husband, Hugh. Shortly after graduation, they moved to Alaska, where they raised their daughter and two sons. Lanette and Hugh moved back to Oklahoma in November 2018 when they welcomed their first grandchild. When not at the office, Lanette enjoys playing pickleball with her husband, and spending time with her pup, Elsa.
Tatiana was born in New Bern, NC. She moved to Ada in 2015 and attended Ada High School as a senior. She graduated in 2016. She then attended Pontotoc County Technology Center for her Dental Assistance Certification and graduated in December of 2017. She feels blessed and thankful to be a part of such an amazing office. The great quality care that we provide to our patients is the reason why she went into the dental field. When shes not working, she likes spending time with her fianc and traveling to visit family.
