Acuity Dental and Orthodontics is proud to be the Lowcountrys choice for comprehensive dental services. We provide general dentistry, orthodontics, periodontics, endodontics, oral surgery and cosmetic dentistry all under one roof. We have a combined 30+ years of experience in dentistry and orthodontics, treating both adults and children. And, because we are family-owned and locally operated, we do not subscribe to quotas like many of the national chain dental corporations. We conduct a thorough examination and customize a treatment plan for each patient.
My hobby I spent the most time on in high school was art. Creating things on paper from a blank canvas allowed me to make beauty come alive that was once not there. Orthodontics lets me accomplish this on others. Someone sees me for the first time and wants to improve their smile, and with orthodontics I can do that. My greatest reward is seeing their confidence excel in front of my eyes; such a rewarding process for those both young and old.
I chose dentistry because I love people, science and art, and dentistry combines all three. I enjoy performing so many different procedures and services to help my patients smile. Personal care is important to me, which is why I only see and treat one patient at a time. This allows me to do my best work as a dentist while giving each patient the best possible care at a fair price.
Many patients over the years have become my friends. They know that I truly care about them and their dental health because I stay current with all the latest and most effective dental procedures and techniques and give them great results. They know they can rely on me for exceptional care and service, and that we wouldnt have lasted 70 years if we did anything less than the best that dentistry has to offer.
Dr. Tyler Alderman was born and raised in Huntington, West Virginia. Dr. Alderman is passionate about helping others feel a greater sense of well-being and radiating confidence through oral health. It is his personal goal to establish close rapport with each and every patient by providing a strong level of communication and empathy. Dr. Alderman is married to his beautiful wife Brooklyn and together they have two adorable and energetic young boys. Outside of patient care, Dr. Alderman spends most of his time enjoying the outdoors with his family. Some of his favorite outdoor hobbies include fly fishing, boating and swimming.

Stella is absolutely amazing! Her smile is perfect and infectious. She is kind and welcoming to everyone that walks though the door. She made the whole process a joy. I will definitely be back to see her.

The folks at Acuity in the North Charleston office are great! Dr. Incampo is by far one of the best dentists I've been privileged to have provide my dental care. He is professional to a fault, with years of experience and an admirable repertoire of clinical and people skills which he exercises with reassurance and confidence. On a special note, I would also recognize his assistant, Haley, who has consistently provide such strong support to me and other patients. She is calm, focused, always prepared, and eager to provide support to her patients I can't thank these folks enough for all they do!

Amazing dentistry. Everyone was very nice and on top of what they were doing. Haley maki especially was a hard working asset to their company and was there step by step to make sure I was comfortable before my procedure. I highly recommend this place.

The office is very friendly and professional. Dr. Incampo replaced my crown today with the help of his assistant Haley. Everything went great and Haley went out of her way to keep me comfortable during the whole procedure. THANK YOU

I've been coming here for a couple of years for my cleanings and for my braces. The staff is amazing and very friendly. I bring my son here as well and they are very good with him and patient. I would recommend them to anyone.

I can't say enough about the wonderful service I receive at Acuity, North Charleston! First and foremost, Stella is the most sincere, accommodating and organized office manager I have ever met in a clinical office. She is gracious to a fault, and cares deeply about any and all patients. Her staff is great, and Dr. Incompto is without peers as one of the most accomplished and effective dentists I've ever experienced. I have and will continue to recommend him highly to my friends and acquaintances.

This office deserves No stars, I have contacted the New Corporate Manager Kristin Hernandez who has failed to help me! I have tried for 2/3 months to get my records from them, along with not even being contacted when Dr. Grace left the practice. Who I was still in treatment with for a serious matter that is life threatening. I DO NOT TRUST ACUITY and neither should you!

Chairside manner and better than thou attitude was unacceptable. Exam (maybe all of 2 minutes) 1 x-ray and the exam $154. Only to tell me what I already knew. So. Referred to goose creek office, they want another $97 for exam. The price to extract the tooth #13 was $326. The referral said it depends on the evaluation. So my point being is why so much to extract a tooth (not a molar) at a cost of 6-7 hundred per tooth. Unacceptable in the real world and why would the sister company want to capitalize on a tooth. I just made an appointment while the tooth wasn't bothering me knowing it would cause me problems in the future. Dr. PAOLO INCAMPOMO IS NO FOR THE PEOPLE.

Christine is an Angel. She's such a sweetheart and I can't express how much she's helped us. I have four kids and she took the time with each of them. My youngest is 10, and she was literally shaking because she was scared and did not know what to expect. And Ms. Christine came in like a Superhero and calmed all fears. God has really placed her in our lives. Thank you is not enough to say to this young woman.

Update: we will be orthodontic patients only as we've already begun ortho. (Based on price AND LOCATION) Fairly disappointed with the Coosaw office and new dentist refusing United Concordia while the other Acuity offices accept it. We are too late in the ortho process to change providers and NOT looking forward to a 30 min drive to Knightsville when we were 5 min away from the Coosaw office. We will be seeking a new dentist close by who accepts military and retiree insurance.

Today was my first visit. If I could give 10 I would. The staff from the front desk, hygienist, and the dentist are phenomenal! I recommend anyone looking for a dentist to check them out! You will not be disappointed!
