Dr. Yao graduated from Boston University School of Dental Medicine where she was awarded DMD (conferred with Magna Cum Laude) and Doctor of Science. Upon graduation, she was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Society for academic excellence in clinical dentistry. She received Sigma Xi Award by the Scientific Research Society for outstanding research achievement.
After graduation, Dr. Yao was a postdoc fellow and later on became a Assistant Research Professor at Boston University School of Dental Medicine. She performed research in salivary proteins and had numerous scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals. Since 2004, she has dedicated her entire professional time to private practice in general dentistry.
Dr. Yao held memberships in American Association of Dental Research, International Association of Dental Research and Scientific Research Society. She is currently a member of American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society and American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Yao provides excellent dental care to patients of all ages. She is well liked by her patients for her caring and gentleness, skills and dedication, commitment to excellence and devotion to individual care. Dr. Yao builds into our practice not only the very latest in dental training and abilities but also a true sense of patient care and compassion that will allow her to provide patients with comprehensive family and esthetic dentistry.

We mourned the loss of Dr. Thomas McQueen. He passed away peacefully at his home in Beverly, MAon Monday, June, 9, 2014. Born in Lewisburg, PA. in 1930 he grew up in Mifflinberg, PA. He received a Bachelors degree from Pennsylvania State University in 1952 and a Doctor of Dental Medicine from Harvard University School of Dental Medicine in 1956. He was one of the founders of Acton Family Dental Care, formerly McQueen Dental Associates and practiced for 45+ years. His ash was spread at seato followhis will. We will miss you, Dr. McQueen!
Our practice was started almost 70 years ago on Windsor Avenue in West Acton by Dr. Albright. Shortly thereafter, Dr. Thomas McQueen acquired the practice and moved it to our current location of 249 Central Street. We are often identified as the house with the tooth banner hanging out front . Our office has provided dental care to patients who reside in the neighborhood and in towns faraway. Many families have been with us for three generations!
