Dr. Jennifer was born in Lubbock, Texas, but grew up in a little town in Northern California called Paradise. It was early on in high school that she knew that she wanted to become a dentist. Because of her passion for working with kids, she had her sights set on pediatric dentistry.

Dr. Jennifer attended undergraduate school at California State University, Chico, and graduated with honors. From there she attended dental school at Midwestern Universityin Glendale, AZ, and graduated as part of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Societywhere she was awarded the Pediatric Dentistry Award. Dr. Jennifer then moved to Columbus, Ohio for her pediatric dental residency at The Ohio State University/Nationwide Childrens Hospital and also obtained her Masters Degree in Dentistry.

Knowing that she wanted to be closer to home, Dr. Jennifer sought a position back on the West Coast. Taking the position at Acorn Dentistry for Kids has allowed her to do so! They are looking forward to everything that Oregon has to offer and she is happy to be a part of the Acorn family.

Dr. Jennifer and her husband Chris welcomed their son, Tyson, in December of 2019 and have three fur babies. Pups Leo and Zeus and cat Oliver make sure theres never a dull moment in the house and of course, are spoiled rotten! Outside the office, Dr. Jennifer and Chris can most likely be found renovating their house into a home. They also love the outdoors, which is another reason why Oregon drew them in! They love to go hiking, camping, and to travel, whether it is near or far!

Extremely unprofessional. Spoke with Jared. I signed no changes on their annual update form. Refused to see my child unless I refilled out all the same information. Absolutely lazy to not do the secretarial work. In addition he was contradictory in how he presented the justification. There's no need to complete the same details once a person pays.

Parents! Who cares if the dentist is "great at being a dentist" if they suck at being around kids, right?!?!?! We came to Acorn dentistry bc we had an unbelievably bad experience at my daughter's first dentist appt at--- for lack of a better word-- fancier place. As in, so bad it wasn't just awful for her, but for me sitting there next to her being blown away at the dismissive to the point of mean the hygienist was to her as she, wo any warning or even speaking to her, released the chair back quickly, swooped and shined the light down at my daughter's face, and jabbed things into her mouth. When the dentist came in and wo even speaking to my daughter was the same way, and spoke only to the hygienist, I knew we'd never set foot in there again. Watching that appt, I couldn't imagine an adult EVER being treated like that! Never ever would some expect an adult to be treated that way and ever come back. Needless to say, I was really determined to show my little girl THAT experience is not what "the dentist" is like!! Acorn was recommended to me via a FB local mommas group specifically for the quality of care towards both little teeth AND little kids. Man!!!!!!, did they exceed my hopes of a child still being treated like a valuable person who might be scared or unsure at the dentist!! From the moment we came through the door until we left, EVERY single interaction we had was centered around her in a way that was humanizing, soothing and kind. I don't need someone to "baby" my kids, but I sure do expect them to be treated w respect and included in the exam process of their own body by any pediatric office they need to be in. Any doctor or nurse (or person) who is going to touch them, not to mention jab things into their mouths, shouldn't ever be taking them by surprise or ignoring them while touching their body. I was a nanny for 15 years so I've taken a lot of kiddos (some super spoiled) to a lot of dentist appointments, and Acorn dentistry is hands down the BEST SET UP from start to finish for a child to learn what "going to the dentist" means. I am so thankful this place was recommended to us by other mommas. I was amazed at the genuine sweetness and courtesy of the whole team! It was a "first visit" for us and I was overjoyed at the "good w kiddos" emotional IQ of every one: from how she was greeted at the door, to the age appropriate vocabulary of each staff member (x-ray tech, hygienist, and dentist) who touched her face for X-rays, cleaned her teeth, or did her exam, she was given such clear inclusion and explanations before something happened to her, which is exactly how it should be. Acorn dentistry is the PERFECT combination of people who went to school for PEDIATRIC dentistry bc (for some weird reason) they like teeth stuff AND they love kiddos! THANK YOU Acorn dentistry for giving my daughter a dentist appointment she was excited to tell her little brother "was super cool" and that was so kid friendly she was proud to "teach him swirls not swipes!" when we brushed our teeth for bedtime "to get all the sugar bugs and micro-things that live in your mouth or that food puts there washed out!" We are beyond on in agreement w the "mom approved" vote I got from all those mamas (and you know the mamas will end you!) and THIS is our dentist forever!!!
