Mildred G : Born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. I graduated from Pima College in 2017. I love that many of my patients have become like family. In my spare time you can find me traveling some where around the world.
I am a proud seasoned and experienced dental provider. I continue to practice beyond a given retirement age because I enjoy doing what I do and should a time come when I do not enjoy it or my skills should deteriorate I will retire. Until that time my patients can expect nothing short of excellence and decades of out of the box solutions for special cases. That is what gives me the joy of life and keeps my sense of humor extremely active in every patient visit where possible.
Originally from Cincinatti, Ohio I graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1967 and my Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 1971. I served our Country earning the rank Captain in our US Army. I have been serving the greater Tucson area for the past 40 + years. Life member of the American Dental Association, Arizona Dental Association, Southern Arizona Dental Association. I attend Continued Education courses regularly with the Pima Dental Study Club to which I am a past Board Member of 15 years and past President of 3 years. Past consultant for Governors council for AHCCCS.
My practice includes routine Amalgams because they are not toxic despite what 60 minutes said 30 years ago. They are easy to place, long-lasting and inexpensive. I will do a cosmetic filling for any patient in any circumstance with the understanding that they are more expensive and fees will always be quotes. I do partial and complete dentures and I use labs in Tucson. I do Crown and Bridge, likewise, with an excellent lab in Tucson. I also perform root canal treatments as needed to relieve pain and retain teeth. I extract teeth when they are non-restorable, I will refer to an oral surgeon if I feel its best. I do not do orthodontics but I do minor tooth movement in some cases. I love children and offer nitrous oxide to avoid having to use local anesthesia on baby teeth fillings. Acomb is the worse dentist every I had emergency surgery and they told that I had to be same day because I missed it he is very rude if he always has is hands in his pocket when he anit doing work on your mouth like he playing with himself the staff is rude as well I would never go back to him. I also had a good friend go to him to have teeth pulled he had and infection he gave nothing and told him it will go away

All of the people in this office cannot be better in any way. Not only do I have a terrible fear of dentists, but I have a very unusual insurance situation. They have handled everything perfectly. Including keeping me as calm as possible, which is a very tall order!

I have been to numerous dentist over the years with the dental work in my mouth with root canals and caps by far Dr. Acomb takes first prize with his professionalism personality sense of humor and attention to detail very meticulous in his work most people hate going to the dentist and I've always made the best of a situation but after my visit with Doctor Acomb he really made a dental experience enjoyable if that's even possible. And his staff is very pleasant down-to-earth and accommodating I had to reschedule a couple times due to my work schedule and they were very patient and always found me the earliest appointment available based on my schedule if you want to go and get great dental work with an awesome staff and an out-of-state dentist that has a great sense of humor it is very very meticulous and good at what he does go to DC Acomb

they have fallen downhill since they moved and got all new people up in the office can't even call to tell you they call one day before to tell me they have to reschedule and they are rude as hell I will be taking my business some where else
