I came here based on how great their reviews are and I was not disappointed. Every staff member was extremely nice, made sure I was fully taken care of & understood everything that was going on in my mouth.

(back story) a few years back, I was young and dumb. I needed a root canal because I chose not to take care of a cavity that I knew needed to be filled. found myself needing a root canal a few years later, and further chose to make a mistake. with my root canal procedure itself costing me about $2000, another $1500 on top of it for a crown was essentially out of the question at the time. so I'd put it off, and knew in the back of mind it was something I needed to take care of. about a month ago, I was munching on some popcorn and I'd realized my root canal tooth cracked. I go to my (then) regular dentist and she claims the tooth can be saved and a crown can be put on it for $2000. something didn't feel right to me, and although hopeful, I had a gut feeling the tooth couldn't actually be saved. I stumbled upon Access Point online, and with a recommendation from a nearby dentist office that no longer accepted my insurance, so I gave it a shot. and I am SO glad I did. the office itself is small and quiet, yet welcoming. I essentially felt at ease the moment I talked with Brigitte (receptionist). she was friendly, professional, and kind. I was promptly brought back and the dental assistant (I think her name was Katie, but I could be wrong) was also extremely kind, intelligent, warm, and personable. When the dentist came in, he introduced himself, and I felt an instant connection to Dr. Yeboah. I got an immediate feeling that he was an honest, yet professional person, well educated, knowledgeable, and passionate about his work. he informed of the few options we have in case the fracture was too deep (just to prepare me for worst case scenario), he explained everything perfectly so that I understood everything that was being thrown at me all once (it was a bit overwhelming lol). we took a special X-ray, to find the fracture was in fact too deep to be salvaged for a crown. I chose the route I wanted to take (dental implant), but was very emotional because it's a costly procedure that takes over a year to fully finish. Katie(?) and Dr. Yeboah assured me everything was going to be okay and it gave me a sense of comfort, which was nice to have in a doctors office, especially during a stressful time. yesterday we started the first second phases of my dental implant. we removed the tooth and did the bone grafting procedure. I was understandably nervous, but once again Dr. Yeboah and my new dental assistant, Jeannette, held my hand along the way. the novocaine took effect and I couldn't feel a thing during the extraction or procedure. they regularly checked in to ensure I was doing okay, which I greatly appreciated. although I'm sad about having to get an implant, I can honestly say I'm grateful to have found a new comfortable and honest dentist office in the process. Dr. Yeboah even called me later in the day to ensure I was doing alright. which I was! barely any pain...nothing ibuprofen and extra strength Tylenol can't help. will update throughout my procedures!

The place has some of the friendliest customer service anywhere. From the moment you walk in until the moment you leave, everyone is just so friendly.

Poor COVID guidelines, barely any attention paid to the patient, My filling chipped, and then my appointment wasn't "in their system" and told me I shouldn't be a patient if I had a problem with that. What a joke

Dental Hygienist here that used to work for Dr. Nana Yeboah. (I came back on here to see who's said anything bad about him) Please ignore the neg reviews. He is such a great dentist! I moved to San Diego so thats why I left:-( Most the complaints here (and for most dental offices tbh) are from people who don't take care of their teeth and haven't seen the dentist in years and are taking their frustration out on the Dentist. So don't let them scare you away. But really Dr. Y is an amazing Dentist. I had only worked for him for 2 years and all the dentists down here think Ive been working for 10+ years just based off the experienced and knowledge I've gained from him. That should tell you something. <3

Dr. Yeboah is kind and gentle. They knew I had been through a lot of dental trauma, but have taken very good care of me. I had to get a referral to an oral surgeon for sedation, but that went quite well. I'm finally proud of my smile! I'm so happy to have found a good Medicaid provider.

So apparently you have to be from a certain background with certain insurance for them to acknowledge you. So unfortunate and disappointing for who he is

I had been having really bad throbbing and pressure on my upper left side to the point my check was swollen. I called this clinic like any new patient with a lot of questions and full of concerns. Once I walked in to my appointment I was relaxed. The staff were all attentive & kind. The hygienist I had was blessed with today was Jeanette!! When I tell you she was the light at the end of my tunnel during my extraction...man was she. Kept me calm and focused on my breathing, while Dr. Nana had the thought part of making sure my tooth came out smoothly. He was spot on with the whole procedure. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a dentist in general or for emergency reasons. Shout out you all the staff & the doctor himself. Truly grateful.

Only 1 star and it's justified! I am so disappointed with my treatment. I went in for a root canal and crown but the dentist only filled the tooth in like a big cavity...no root canal or crown. I was told if the tooth hurts in a week or so than I will have to have the root canal and crown. Why didn't he just do the root canal and crown the first visit??!! Now I may have to go through the whole experience again. Needles shoved into my jaw and more grinding on the tooth, not to mention my gums, tongue and jaw. Not only did he press down on me so hard at times I had a difficult time breathing and my jaw still hurts from the added pressure. He then slipped off my tooth 2 times and ground my gums and tongue. My appointment was 4 days ago and I still have not been able to enjoy a meal because every time I eat the spots that he ground into get irritated. The sores on my gum and tongue are scabbing over and still hurt whenever I eat. I hate to bad mouth a business but this was and still is a very bad experience at Access Point Dental. So much for gentle dentistry!! Obviously I will not be going back, I don't care how much my tooth aches. I really think I deserve a refund.

The staff is so kind and hlful amd the dentist was incredible. They were thorough and answered all of my questions. There communication was great for follow-up as well and they were lifesavers. Dr. Nana Yeboah was amazing. He helped me navigate through the emotional and also the physical process of getting dentures. He was spot on with his measurements and my dentures fit very well, almost precisely and considering that I wasn't able to relax my lower jaw when he took his measurements that's pretty fantastic. All of the staff, the assistants and front desk were extremely supportive in the process. I highly recommend him for any dental services.

I don't seek dental care unfortunately very often except in urgent/emergent situations because I have horrible dental insurance and not a lot of money to have high dental bills which i was pretty upfront. Staff and Dr Yeboah were super patient and nice as I was in a lot of pain from other health issues as well and needed a lot of redirection and I was kind of clear that I wasn't looking to be sold anything as I didn't want to accumulate debt I couldn't afford to pay back for future work. I did read the reviews and I take bad reviews with a grain of salt, especially given the overall high rating of the practice, they do warn you that almost any insurance never covers anything 100 percent, but given the fact I've had emergency surgery with oral surgeons or emergent dental visits and never received a bill, depending on what I get for a bill, will determine if 5 star ranking holds, but so far, super impressed and grateful.

Beware! Dentist claimed I needed root canal but that wasn't necessary, just a simple filling. Also claimed I had cavities that weren't actually cavities. Wanted to fix these non existent cavities before filling the real cavity. Strange.
