Dr. Whitney is a native of New Iberia, Louisiana. She attended Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in biology and minor in business. She was involved in Zeta Tau Alpha, student government, and served as both the president of Woffords discipline council and homecoming queen.
She attended Louisiana State University School of Dentistry, where she received her Doctorate Dental Surgery. Dr. Whitney served as the president of her class during all four years of dental school. She was awarded the Delta Dental Scholarship Student Leadership Award, the Community Service award for Pediatric Dentistry, and the Outstanding Achievement in Pediatric Dentistry Award. She earned both an Honors in Leadership and was the Grace Voigt Scholarship for leadership.
Dr. Whitney is a Type One Diabetic and learned from an early age that every child is unique and faces different daily challenges. Children deserve the confidence that comes with a cavity-free smile that they cannot wait to show off. Helping children succeed in both the dental chair and in life are her true passions. She is thrilled to be home serving the community that she loves.
One of the most exciting aspects of pediatric dentistry is the ongoing research and changes in the specialty. Each year there are innovations in techniques, materials, and technologies, all of which have the potential to improve treatment, efficiency, and efficacy, and the patient experience.
These professional organizations offer annual meetings, as well as regular seminars, lectures, online courses, and publications. Through attending the gatherings and keeping up with research and trends, our office stays up to date on what is best for our patients and their dental health!

Acadiana Pediatric Dentistry has provided my children with caring attentive services. From the front office Staff to Dr. Whitney all workers treated us with kindness. Appointments were quick and easy to make. Wait times weren't long. Highly recommend!

Such sweet people and Dr. Whitney did my daughter's fillings today. She made my babygirl comfortable before surgery and I was nervous until I talked with her! She made me comfortable too!! My baby is already feeling herself again.

We were referred here by our dentist for my baby to get some fillings. I absolutely love it here! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming when you enter the building and the staff is phenomenal! They took very great care of my baby and everyone had a smile on their faces. They even called later that evening to check up and see how she was doing after her procedure. I give them a 10/10 and highly recommend them if you or anyone you know has little ones and are in need of a dentist.

At Acadiana pediatric dental they are a kind friendly and helpful staff, they ask if you're feeling all right, they ask if you're comfortable, and they truly make your stay as comfortable as possible for whatever procedure you're in there for that also goes for the guest with the patient. I would recommend them to anyone needing dental assistants you won't regret it.
