We offer braces for patients of all ages, including children, teens and adults. We work with each patient to specifically tailor a personalized treatment plan to meet their specific needs and goals. Our orthodontists have been trained in the latest technology and the most up-to-date techniques. In addition to traditional metal braces, we also offer Invisalign and clear braces.
Dr. David Guidry and Dr. Doug Horaist have outfitted their office to be one of the most state-of-the-art orthodontic practices in Lafayette, LA. Our office has the latest in 3D X-Ray technology to aid in more precise diagnosis. We also have intra-oral scanners which have enabled us to do away with the uncomfortable and messy traditional impressions. From our intra-oral scans, we are able to print models using our on-site 3D printer

Dr. David Guidry, Board Certified Orthodontist, is a Louisiana native, born and raised in Morgan City. He attended Louisiana State University where he earned a degree in Biological Sciences, he was also a member of the LSU Tiger Football team. He continued his education at the LSU School of Dentistry where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery Degree. He then completed his orthodontic residency program at the LSU School of Dentistry where he received extensive training in the management of tooth movement and facial development or dentofacial orthopedics.
Dr. Guidry is proud to have obtained his board certification in orthodontics. As such, he is recognized as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He is passionate about helping people and making them smile. We know you'll love working with him throughout your orthodontic treatment.
When he's not in the office, Dr. Guidry hunts and fishes as much as he can. He and his wife, Minette, have a daughter, Vivienne. Dr. Guidry has already started teaching Vivienne how to fish and enjoy the outdoors!
Dr. Douglas E. Horaist was born and raised in Lafayette, LA where his father practiced as an orthodontist. He graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering where he also played tight end on the Army-West Point football team. Upon graduation, Dr. Horaist served in the US Army as an Armor Officer. Following his military commitment, Dr. Horaist received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry. Additionally, he has a Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from Montefiore Medical Center, the University Hospital for Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Department of Orthodontics in New York City. Along with extensive orthognathic surgery experience, Dr. Horaist also has a certification in Invisalign, making him the ideal fit for the Acadian Orthodontics team.
Dr. Horaist's caring, compassionate personality is the perfect approach to orthodontic care, and we know that you'll deeply appreciate his excellent clinical and communication skills. We are thrilled to have Dr. Horaist on our team.
In his free time, Dr. Horaist enjoys exercising, traveling, and spending time with his wife, family, and friends. He is married to the former Ashley Hamby of Madison, MS. Currently, Ashley is the 7th and 8th grades writing teacher at St. Pius Elementary School.

My daughter and I felt very welcomed the minute we walked in. The staff is always smiling and very friendly. Dr. Guidry took his time examining my daughter and clarified any questions that we asked.

Loved the experience at Guidry and Horiast Orthodontics!!! The office, as well as the staff, were very welcoming! The prices were really affordable! And lastly, but not the least, we were given a call the evening after my daughter got her braces on- which in book is A1 service! This showed that they care about their patients! I would most definitely recommend Guidry and Horaist Orthodontics!

Everyone is so nice here and personable. I've been going for about a year where I was fitted with Invisalign. The doctors and the staff are very knowledgeable and able to provide a personal touch. I highly recommend.

Let me say this, 1st of all the staff is amazing! I had an orthodontist appt today. I was out of the office in less than a hour. Kudos to the staff for their fast service!

Not happy with my results at all. I had to call the office to schedule my final appointment because I hadn't received one and didn't receive a follow up appointment either. Definitely dropped the ball with me and I definitely expected better from this office. I'll find another orthodontist to correct the issue because I refuse to go back.
