Dr. Edwin Brookes, our dentist, has more than two decades of experience in dentistry. Whether you need a simple teeth cleaning, a replacement for an old filling, or a brand new set of dental implants, our team is here for you.
Dr. Edwin Brookes is originally from the East Coast, but hes now a proud Wisconsinite. He was born and raised in New Hampshire, and attended college in Upstate New York. After graduating from his undergraduate program, Dr. Brookes got his first taste of dentistry while working as a dental technician at a dental lab. He also worked as a dental hygienist while attending Tufts University for dental school.Dr. Brookes graduated from Tufts with his dental degree in 2004. After working for six years in a Massachusetts dental practice, he moved to North Carolina to be closer to his then-fiance (now wife) Carolyn, during her residency as an oral surgeon. He also moved with her to Melbourne, Australia during Carolyns fellowship at an Australian hospital, where he further broadened his dental horizons. Dr. Brookes has also been involved in dental missions to Ukraine, Haiti, Cape Verde, and Mexico.Shortly after he and his wife moved to Milwaukee, Dr. Brookes founded Acacia Dental Care in 2017. His goal was to create a practice where patients could get the truly personalized, gentle care they needed for healthy mouths and healthy lives. Dr. Brookes is a highly-qualified dentist with more than 20 years of experience in the field. Hes a member of the ICOI (International Congress of Oral Implantologists), the American Dental Association, and the Wisconsin Dental Association, to name just a few.When hes not in the office or continuing his dental education, Dr. Brookes is passionate about the outdoors. He loves hiking, skiing, rowing, and many other outdoor activities, as well as cooking and woodworking. Youll also find him spending time with his wife, Carolyn, and their two children.
Dr. Brookes serves as a board member of the Shorewood Business Improvement District, where he works with community leaders to improve Shorewood and the lives of its residents. He has served on dental mission trips to countries like Haiti, Mexico, Cape Verde, and Ukraine. Dr. Brookes also served as the president of Project Stretch, a nonprofit pediatric dental outreach program that serves patients throughout the world.

As usual my visit at Acacia Dental was pleasant, even with my fear of dentist after being traumatized by a dentist as a child. Dr. Brookes & his staff are the best, professional, responsive & sensitive to my fear of dentist. I know I'm in good hands, my dentist is extremely skilled!

Excellent dentist, who also listens well. For the first time, last time I had to wait for him, but he was gracious and apologized. I feel my teeth are in very good hands!

Everyone was so nice and friendly. They got me checked in super quick, and the wait time was very short. I only had to wait about 5 minutes before I seen by an assistant then another 5-10 minutes before meeting the dentist. Dr. Erin was super friendly and great at what they were doing. I just got a regular cleaning check up and they did it extremely quick and easy-- no pain at all. Dr. Erin was also very patient when it came to answering my questions, concerns, and even made recommendations. Definitely recommend.
