Dr Theodros Abraha, born in Asmara, Eritrea, attended a German School in Ethiopia. He lived most of his childhood through high school in Addis Abeba. As a young man, he realized he had a passion for culture, language and travel. He can also speak Spanish, German, Arabic, Amharic and Tegringa. He later came to the US and received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. His uncle helped influence his career choice as a dental professional.
Dr Abraha soon realized his new-found dream and graduated from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill School of Dentistry. He is married to Mayada Khidr, who alsograduated from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill Dental School in 2013. Both doctors work as a team to serve the dental needs of Durham, NC and surrounding regions.
Dr Abraha has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education in endodontics (root canal), oral surgery, crown and bridges, periodontal therapy, esthetic dentistry and denture treatment. Dr Abraha is a member of the American Dental Association, North Carolina Dental Society, and North Carolina District. He enjoys reading, traveling, listening to music and playing soccer in his free time.

They are absolutely fantastic. I've had dentists try to scam me and claim that I have 1000 cavities just to make a quick buck. They really care about patients and won't drill teeth unless you absolutely need it. I will definitely be back in 6 months for my cleaning!

My experience here at this dentist was phenomenal. The staff was so amazing. They make sure to explain everything to you and they are so sweet and actually engage in conversations with you. I really appreciated that because I was pretty nervous because it was my first time but my siblings as well enjoyed it and are super excited to come back for their next appointment. We're so happy we found this dentist loved it!

Abraha family dentistry provided an exceptional, better than could have been hoped for dental experience. I was overdue for a few things. They got me in quickly and worked with my schedule. Their friendly, supportive staff made the experience welcoming and reassuring. Their office is very efficient - they did a superb job with preventive care in a short period of time, and did an excellent job of communicating concerns and coming up with a plan for any further work that needed to be done. Never good news to hear that you need a filling, but they were even willing to work with me to get a filling done later on the same day, and it was one of the quickest, most painless experiences with fillings I have ever had. I will definitely be going back here for continued dental care.

This doctornis Great!!!! Imoved to Timberlake and Dr. Abraha alwaus takes care of me with so much care. Margarita is always making sure that I understand what my appoitnment is going to happen and what I need to understand. SHE MAKES u comfortable when u are alreadu nervous. Dr Abraha and Margarita are the best team u can ask for in the dental field. THEY BOTH treat u with such respect and patients. Thank you for my amazing treatment and care

I relocated to the area and had no family here. The reviews in the office and the way Margarita answered all my questions and her friendly personality made me schedule. Upon arriving the office is amazing and the employees all seem to enjoy each other. Dr. Mayada took the time to explain my treatment and show me how to floss. My hygentist Aellete was great as well. What I found the most satisfying about this office is that we are treated nicely from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. You are explained everything and everyone there is friendly and caring. The way the Dr and Margarita are able to explain what to prioritize first and not "over treat" is why I have made this my new dental home. Dr. Mayada you have an all star team and dont loss Margarita she makes you feel great just by her open and welcome smile.

I can't stand going to a dentist but this one was different from the rest. As long as I'm still in this area I will be going back to them. Flor and margarita are super amazing and helpful staff they made me feel very comfortable. I'd highly recommend them.
