Dr. Davidson has been practicing in El Dorado County since 1990. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from University of the Pacific's School of Dentistry. Since earning his degree, he has devoted thousands of hours to continuing education courses so that he can provide innovative, quality care for his patients.
Even outside Above the Gate Dentistry, Dr. Davidson is always working hard and helping othershe seems to find endless projects that need to be done. When he does make time to have some fun, he spends it hiking, boating, snowboarding, motorcycle riding, and going on epic adventures with his wife, five kids, and recently born grandchildren. His team loves his amazing work ethic!
Dr. Tuttle became a partner in the practice in 2004 after receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from University of the Pacific's School of Dentistry. As a technology enthusiast, he loves to stay up on everything that's new from evaluating dental instruments and products to advising and teaching labs and other dentists. Most of his time, Dr. Tuttle spends working diligently to keep the teeth of El Dorado County happy and healthy by using predictable techniques and advanced equipment.
Outside of the office, he loves finding adventures to share with his friends and family, especially when those adventures include hiking to local waterfalls! His team loves having his thorough and ambitious personality at our office!
Dr. Brock has joined our practice in 2019 after studying with the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry (same school as above, with a new name). El Dorado County has a special place in his heart, and he is very glad to be back from the big City to serve his hometown. Dr. Brock has recently participated in elite, up-to-date hands-on training of dental techniques and technology, and he is ready to bring his expertise and hard-working attitude here to Above the Gate Dentistry. He is an excellent husband and an engaged father of two boys. Please help us welcome Dr. Brock!
Shaunty has a favorite part about being in dentistry: The connection that she makes with clients and coworkers. She also loves surprises...enough that she didn't even find out the gender of her first baby that arrived summer of 2021! She'll be glad to show you pics of her beautiful little girl.
Sierra can really do it all! You might see her as you walk in the front door, she may show up at the chair to help the doctors, and she is always running the whole show, behind the scenes. She is an excellent resource if you have questions about dental benefits, or about what the heck the doctor just said. She welcomed her first son in the summer of 2021!
Lianne has a demeanor that will make you feel at home as soon as you walk into the office. Lianne has played softball since she was 8 years old. She is an excellent resource if you have questions about dental benefits or how to easily afford a grand slam smile!
Abby may be young, but she's a quick learner. She's already an excellent source of help and knowledge to her clients and to our ATG team. Growing up on a farm gave her a great work ethic and a fondness for animals.
Christina has an excellent 'green thumb' and an eye for plants. Although green things can be the best of friends, she also appreciates the opportunities she has every day to work one-on-one helping people with their health and their smile.
Lindsay has a smile that will light up your visit to our office. She is also an excellent golfer and instructor, and she will coach you through making the most of your dental benefits, keeping your smile healthy, and maybe some tips on your backswing.
Layne grew up in El Dorado County, and she was happy to return after studying business in college and managing properties and restaurants in Idaho. You might not see her every day at the office, but she is one of the remote lifelines that help us provide excellent care for you and for our employees.
Shannonis a local cowgirl and we are lucky to have her as one of our great hygienists. She is a repeat world-champion quarter-horse rider, and she brings her dedication to excellence to every smile she encounters.
Robhas talents that surface in many ways. He is a talented professional musician, and his knowledge and skill in dentistry is unmatched. He loves meeting new people and getting to know the clients at ATG.
Haleighis one of the main reasons that things are running so smoothly around here. Her ability to keep us organized and her attention to detail is appreciated by all. Now if only she could figure out how to fix her dirt bike!
Madisonhas become an expert in patient comfort and safety. She has a myriad of talents - dentistry and sign language among them. When you're comfortably numb and need to communicate, you know who to talk to!

Excellent dentistry. The problem is the customer service from the front desks... I've been a long time customer and referred many friends to the Diamond Springs Office. I am about over the bad customer service and am now Considering changing dentists.

I absolutely love this place. I have had problems with being nervous going to the dentist and the people here are so nice and make me feel great. The dental work has been amazing.

Came here after another dentist barely did an exam and told me I needed a root canal and crowns. I was experiencing pain and they got me in right away. Dr. Davidson did a thorough exam and determined it was 2 different teeth that were bothering me, noted some cavities I was not told of by the other guy, and given antibiotics and options for pallative treatments to try to save the tooth till my insurance kicked in fully. I had one tooth extracted by Dr.Brock who actually texted my that evening to see how I was doing. Then Dr.Davidson did a pallative for me to try to save the tooth. They got me in immediantly two more times in the same week, one with Dr.Brock to look for a possible crack and one with Dr.Tuttle to address pain. Dr. Tuttle was communicating with me via e-mail after hours to help figure out what I needed and to get me in. We ended up removing that tooth as well and Dr. Davidson also texted me to check on how I was recovering. Rob assistant in both extractions and the pallative and was very informative, patient and great to talk to while waiting. He was very caring and made sure I was comfortable and had anything I needed. Sierra the manager has been helping me tremendously with my insurance, appointments, communications and answering any questions I have. The whole team has gone out of their way to help me feel better and try to save the teeth and then removing them when the treatment didn't take. It has been great working with them and I appreciate the effort they put into trying to help me and get me out of pain. They are a practice that cares more about your comfort and treating within your means then just demanding unnecessary work to make a quick buck. Thank you guys for being so awesome.

I do not think they are taking pandemic seriously as they cannot tell me if tech working on me has been vaccinated or not. It's for my safety as well as theirs. All they will say is it's confidential information. So I cannot tell if it's safe or not. Otherwise they are decent folk who do their jobs very well. Wish I could give them 5 stars.

Hands down, BEST dental office ever! I orginally starting seeing Dr. Tuttle for my Invisalign 9 months ago and just finished two weeks ago. I've had amazing experiences with Dr. Brock and Dr. Davidson as well. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, from the receptionists to the doctors. I decided to continue being a patient here and make this my permanent dentist office!

This is the best dentist I have ever had! They have several practices that set them apart. They are always leading methods and procedures that reduce discomfort. I can have numbing so localized that it is painless and gone by the time the appointment is over. Amazing! They make crowns on the spot, which is a huge time saver, but additionally the quality of the crown is perfect. Friendly professional staff, two doctors so good you are happy to see either, and painless procedures with superb results! I can't say enough.

Our favorite dental office! The staff is super friendly and caring. The hygienists are kind and gentle and do a great job with my kids. The kids look forward to going to the dentist because they can play video games, watch movies and pick something from the toy box. We have a wondeful experience each time we go!
