Dr. Candice was born and raised in Seattle before making her way to Middle Tennessee. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from Linfield College in McMinnville, OR, where she also played volleyball and lacrosse.
Throughout her career, Dr. Candice has been honored with numerous awards, including the Jack E. Wells outstanding young dentist award, as well as the Dr. Norris Howell Award for outstanding leadership and service.
She's held numerous leadership positions in local organizations such as Clarksville Sunrise Rotary, the Clarksville Triathlon Club, the Customs House Museum guild, and is a graduate of the Leadership Clarksville.

This was my first time getting braces and the thought was scary! But, the entire staff was amazing! They explained everything to me, I was able to ask questions and I knew exactly how much I was having to pay before they got started. I'm looking forward to this wonderful relationship with my new Orthodontist and staff! Thank you guys!!

Had a great experience here! Dr. Candice was very nice and has my teeth perfectly straight. The office runs smooth and on time, even with all the extra precautions they are taking for Covid. Highly recommend them. I'm sure I will be back when my kids need braces. Keep up the great work!

Dr. Shawn and his team are friendly and professional. My daughter and I were walked through an assessment, treatment recommendation, and the application of her first round of braces in less than 60 minutes. Everyone was efficient while maintaining their warmth and humor with my daughter. I am so grateful for our experience with Dr. Shawn. I felt like he truly cared about my daughter and our family. With four children that will inevitably need braces, I am so glad to have found an orthodontist that makes this process as easy and painless as possible.

I had a wonderful experience with About Faces and Braces. Both Dr. Grimes and Dr. Coleman were consummate professionals. As an adult patient I had a lot of questions and they answered them all. They attended to my concerns and my final results are amazing. Apart from the orhodontists, the staff is amazing as well - friendly, professional, and courteous. Don't look anywhere else for your orthodontic treatment!! I rarely write reviews, which I should do more often since I base a lot of my decisions off them, but I hope it will help whomever is reading the reviews to help you make a final decision in picking an orthodontist. My family had moved from Illinois to Tennessee back in October 2016. My son already had his braces on and was about three-quarters through his treatment. Need to say I was very nervous to find an orthodontist that was not only as great as ours back home but use the same methods and technology and accepted our insurance. I can't express enough how happy I am that I chose ABOUT FACES AND BRACES to finish my sons orthodontic treatment! For starters the front desk crew are the sweetest girls ever and made you feel like family. Always accommodating making appointments around our work and school schedule. And a big one for me, we never waited more than 2 minutes to be seen in the waiting room. They were never running behind on appointments! Dr Candice was my sons orthodontist. I can't rave enough about her and her assistants! My son loved them and so did I! Not only are they great at their jobs but made it a relaxed and fun experience. I always had a 100 questions (lol) and they always took the time to answer all of them! My son had his braces removed on schedule this past August 2017. It was a bitter sweet moment for myself, last kid in family to have braces(lol) , but most importantly, not only my son excited to be brace-free after 2 years, I couldn't be happier with the results! With starting with one orthodontist and ending with another, if I had to choose which I liked best, it would be about faces and braces and here is why. My sons original orthodontist and treatment would of had him wear his retainers all the time unless eating. Of course my fears of him throwing away retainers in school after lunch, leaving them behind somewhere, etc. At ABOUT FACES AND BRACES, Dr Candice and her methods make more sense and are proven. He only has to wear them for 8 - 12 hours at night while sleeping. So after dinner he puts them in and when he wakes up he cleans them and puts in his container! No fighting with him, I know they are in and don't have to remind him a 100 times lol. THANK YOU SO MUCH Dr Candice and your whole office crew!

Dr. Candice is an amazing orthodontist!!! I know her on a personal and professional level and she will go above and beyond to make sure your treatment goes as smoothly as possible and that you will finish with an incredible result. She connects very well with the patients and is always enjoyable to be around! Highly recommended!

I went in for a consultation and being in my 30's I was fearful I would be out of place and surrounded by kids. This was not at all my experience. I was treated so kindly from the moment I arrived until the moment I left. The staff is extremely professional! The girls made me feel so comfortable during the entire process. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone, young or old.
