Dentistry for me extends far beyond treating teeth it involves me working and communicating with people and helping improve their lives. I have followed this holistic philosophy since graduating from The National University in my hometown of Cordoba, Argentina, in 1991.
After graduating dental school, I quickly realized the boundaries that existed between doctors and patients and how it was detrimental to promoting health, and this is why I took the right steps to remove any barriers in communication and focused my efforts on building strong client-based relationships. At Ablantis Dental, we believe the most important reason for being in practice is the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of those we touch. For us, there are no such things as boundaries.
Dentistry and people are my passion! There are few things that I enjoy more than watching my patients leave the office with brighter and healthier smiles. Thats why I am so grateful for my educational background and my ability to effectively teach, guide and encourage my patients. I was born with a gift of being a doctor and its an incredible feeling knowing I am helping scores of people improve their overall dental health and lifestyles.
While I am an active dentist in Encinitas and run a very successful Dental practice, I am also a staunch supporter of community outreach. I care deeply about the community I live and work in and this is why I have been an active supporter of non-profit initiatives that include: Christophers Foundation: Connecting to Cure Juvenile Diabetes; and the Belly Up Concert. I was also recently selected to attend the Womens Dental Meeting in Charlotte, North Carolina at the new Dentsply Sirona Academy.
Gabriela is a Southern California native, and has been in the dental field for 27 years. She enjoys working with people and all aspects of dentistry. She really enjoys spending time at the soccer field, and has 22 years playing in a womans league! She also has two grown daughters and loves spending time with her fianc and her dog Kobe.
Jessica is a young vibrant 23-year-old, born and raised in San Diego. She has been working as our lovely receptionist for the last three years. Jessica is also currently attending Southwestern college, where she hopes to advance her knowledge about the art of photography. Shes a creative being at heart, who loves all types of photography and taking day trips to Disneyland. When shes not out exploring the world, she enjoys sitting at home watching nature shows.
MJ graduated with an Associate's Degree in Dental Hygiene in 2016 and brings to the office a fresh attitude and a passion for providing oral health care and education. After a decade and a half working with the department of defense and meeting many personalities, she understands the importance of good communication and is able to relate very well to her patients. MJ prides herself in staying current with the latest research in preventative oral health care. Her professionalism and commitment are noticeably reflected in her positive attitude and delivery of care. MJ is bilingual in both English and Tagalog and enjoys traveling, strength training, cycling, cooking, and spending time with her family, and friends. Her favorite part of dental hygiene is interacting with her wonderful patients and guiding their improvements.

Dr. Cortadi and her staff are the BEST!! From regular cleanings to filings, retainers, crowns and implants - we have been 100% satisfied with everything. Dr. Cortadi not only has fixed all of the problems from our previous dentistry, she is also very proactive with helping us maintain our teeth and gums as we age. Everyone in the office is highly professional and very personable. We no longer dread going to the dentist, and we always leave with a smile on our face. :-D

Everyone at Ablantis made me feel very welcome and relaxed, even in my first dental check up in years. The dental hygienist was incredibly thorough and informative, and the doctor was very helpful. I would definitely recommend this place.

I've been with Dr. Cortadi and team for almost a year now. And I'm so glad I found them. I was having intense pain recently and she helped me get through it--above and beyond the regular things--so I am incredibly grateful. She and her team are stellar.

Great people that deliver fantastic care. Very friendly. They use the latest technology, Dr Cortadi is the best. Michelle always makes me feel comfortable and explains any issues that I might have. Dr. C and her staff are really nice people, always fun to go there.

The office is clean and everyone is so nice! They are easy to communicate with and schedule appointments. I got honest feedback and didn't feel pressured to get unnecessary treatments, which I've experienced at other dental offices.

Dr. Cortadi and all her staff are extremely professional, kind, efficient, and downright good at what they do. They always clearly explain their rationale in suggesting a filling or procedure. And they are super fast and easy! I got 5 or 6 fillings here in one sitting and it took less than 45 minutes, in and out the door. Night and day difference between my previous dentists and this practice!

Awesome staff. Dentist is super friendly. Michelle, dental hygienist, is also super friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. They don't try to push services which you don't want or need. I highly recommend this office!

I've been going to Dr Cortadi for 15 years now, I was completely ruined for dentists as a kid but the Dr and the staff have gradually gotten me to the point of being comfortable in the chair. Have had a wide range of treatments and always with great results, implants, crowns, half crowns, latest tech xrays to in office crowns 3D printed. Hygenist Michelle is awesome as well and my dog KD is always welcome too.

I have been to a great number of dentist over the years. Some were excellent and others were attempting to fill teeth for money. One dentist was telling clients that they had cavities when they had none, basically filling teeth for their house payments. That dentist was in West Palm Beach and when confronted by my neighbor he suddenly traded his practice in West Palm Beach for another established practice in Montana. Its true and that story is real. Another dentist in Simi Valley, California was such a perfectionist that his wife wouldn't use him because she told me that he drove her crazy because he took so long to get his work just perfect when working on her that she went to another dentist outside their practice. And his wife was the hygienist in her husbands office. But he was exceptional. Another dentist in San Diego later pointed out the beautiful work of the Simi Valley dentist, explaining that every crown in my mouth was perfect and also pointed out the other crowns that were not so good that another dentist did while I lived in West Palm Beach. Now I have Ablantis Dental and everyone in that office is excellent, knowledgeable and so far the best ever that I have experienced. That's everyone in that office, I actually enjoy going to the dentist for the first time ever in my life and I am 71 years old, so I have been to a few dentist. I know the cheapest and best form of advertising is word of mouth! I also know that Ablantis Dental doesn't need my commits or recommendation to get and attract customers, their work and professionalism is all it takes. I can promise if you are lucky enough to find this office of professionals you will likely become another dedicated and long term customer. I really like these guys,..... all women office. Without much hesitation, the best dentist I have had in many, many years. I appreciate the courtesy, thoughtfulness, and overall professionalism of this office. Thank you, Claudia, Gaby, and staff! I have been with Claudia and her staff for over six years now and still find them quite amazing--highly professional, friendly, super attentive, and with an overall pleasant touch. A friend of mine tells me: "If you're happy with your dentist, do not change, keep her." I am happy with my dentist and I intend to keep her as long as I'm around in Southern California. And although I now travel quite a distance, because I relocated, I am willing to make the trip just because of the quality service I receive in this office. We need more services like this one. I have had two appointments with Dr. Nice, and both have been excellent in every way. I felt comfortable and that I was in good hands. The whole team was professional, caring, and friendly. Dr. Nice is extremely knowledgeable, focused and meticulous in his work, yet is able to create a warm and fun atmosphere. It's such a pleasure to visit an office where all the staff treats each other and the patients with kindness and respect. Once you go there, you won't want to go anywhere else!

This should be your new dentist! I rarely take the time to write a review, we're all busy! However, I feel compelled given the phenomenal experience to tell everyone about it. I only hope this doesn't affect my future booking ability. Dr. Nice and his phenomenal dental assistant were professional, skilled and overall, made what is known to be everyone's less enjoyed appointment a true pleasure. The staff were all very helpful and kind, and offices were easy to access with plenty of parking. I'm so pleased I switched my dentist and am (slightly) looking forward to my next visit.

Earlier post: I had my intake appointment this week. The doctor and the hygienist were both very courteous, professional, and thorough. I felt very comfortable in the office and felt I was being taken care of in every respect. The X-rays that were taken were the most comprehensive set I've ever had taken; from every angle possible. They are also digital, which I was happy about, because that means less exposure to radiation and the x-rays can be easily emailed should I relocate to a new area and need to have my dental record forwarded elsewhere. The dentist also took some photos of a few of my teeth using a tiny camera, so she could show me a few problem spots by projecting the photos on a large screen in front of me. I felt that my teeth were thoroughly cleaned by the hygienist and the gum pocket screening (to check for gum disease) was completed as well, which many dental offices don't bother doing. I just re-located to San Diego and feel confident that Ablantis Dental will continue to be my go-to dental office in this area. Bonus: While sitting in the dental chair, there is a large screen with relaxing photos of tropical beaches and other beach areas, which is soothing while at the dentist! UPDATE: I've since had two cavities filled and some other minor work done. I also had an in-depth discussion with the Doctor about options for crown replacements, materials used, and avoiding metals which can be toxic to the body (including mercury, but not limited to just mercury). I felt supported and reassured during the procedures I had done this week. Dr. Claudia asked me a couple of times how I was doing, sometimes sang along to songs that were playing in the background, and talked to me about what she was doing. All procedures and the rationale for them were clearly explained ahead of time and again, i was shown digital x-rays on a large overhead screen. I will be getting my crowns replaced and feel I can trust the doctor and her staff. I've experienced other dentists in the past who were not trustworthy in that they lied about the materials they were using and did unnecessary procedures (gingivectomy, etching a healthy tooth to "fill in" an indentation that was not problematic, which ultimately comprimised the enamel) in order to make more money. I feel confident coming to Ablantis Dental and have no fears that such things will occur here. I expect only quality and ethical treatment. They even sent me a "post-op" email after the fillings with instructions and information about what to expect for the next week or so. I HIGHLY recommend this place! UPDATE #2: It's 2021 now, and Doctor Cortadi and the other ladies at Ablantis Dental continue to be my dental team! I am completely satisfied with everything I've had done here. From the dental hygienist and cleanings I get here, to crown replacements and the making of a partial denture. In a few months I'll be getting some teeth implants to replace the denture. (Important note: The loss of these teeth happened a long time ago long before I started coming here when I was a college student and couldn't afford dental care.) I appreciate the professionalism the friendliness and the welcoming attitude everybody has in the office. I always feel comfortable when I come here and I feel like they treat me as if I'm part of the family. They check my gum pockets a couple times of year as well. Recently my sister told me she had her gum pockets checked elsewhere for the first time in her life. She lives in another state or I would highly recommend her to come to my dentist. I couldn't believe she never had her gum pockets checked before. That is an important part of dental health. They really take care of your dental health here at Ablantis and make sure you're doing well. Yesterday doctor Cortadi told me my gums look really healthy. I'm very excited. My teeth just keep getting healthier and my gums keep getting healthier as time goes on, because I'm getting such good dental care!

Dr cordati is very knowledgeable and up on the latest holistic concerns about dental materials and sensitivities. She diagnosed and is treating something the prior dentist missed! She also has the latest xray technology and a friendly helpful staff. A big bonus is that she takes my insurance. I'm so lucky to have Dr Cordati as my dentist! Best, Jeanette J.
