Porcelain veneers that are placed by Abilene dentist Dr. Tim Simpson at his West Texas office are a popular and effective restorative and cosmetic dentistry treatment. These treatments are very thin ceramic porcelain shells that are directly bonded to the front side of the teeth. As theyre bonded to the part of the teeth that are mostly visible to others, porcelain veneers can be used to fill gaps between teeth, cover stains, and hide chips. Because porcelain veneers are so thin and durable, they can be created to fit perfectly and inconspicuously within the wearers mouth. The veneers will blend in with the rest of the surrounding teeth, allowing the wearer to exhibit a clean, white, natural smile. Their exact fit also affords the wearer with undeniable comfort.

LUMINEERS are porcelain veneers that can be placed quickly and painlessly for Dr. Tim Simpsons Abilene and West Texas patients over the course of two visits to his office. They are bonded directly onto the existing teeth, often without any shots, grinding, or shaving, making for an extremely easy and quick way to create the smile youve always wanted.

The porcelain veneers are made of a patented porcelain material as thin as contact lenses, yet are constructed to be incredibly sturdy and reliable. The glassy texture of LUMINEERS actually makes the veneers resistant to future stains and discoloration. In addition to the perfect fit and stain-resistant texture of the porcelain veneers, LUMINEERS are translucent enough to look like your natural teeth, creating a wonderfully natural-looking new smile.

CERINATE LUMINEERS are a smart and practical investment for patients who desire a sparkling, beautiful smile. LUMINEERS can even be bonded to existing crowns or bridgework, eliminating the need to replace them by way of a more expensive procedure.

Though LUMINEERS are an excellent choice, Dr. Tim Simpson is aware that they may not be the best choice for your desired look or overall dental health. He also offers other, more traditional types of veneers to patients who would benefit more from these rather than LUMINEERS.

Dr. Tim Simpson is happy to meet with you to discuss the possibility of receiving CERINATE LUMINEERS or more traditional porcelain veneers to achieve your ideal smile. If you are considering porcelain veneers and are a resident of Abilene or other areas of West Texas, please contact Dr. Tim Simpsons office today.

The dental implant procedure typically takes two separate steps. The first step of the dental implant procedure requires the surgical insertion of a titanium artificial tooth root that eventually serves as a permanent foundation for the replacement tooth. After the gums have completely healed around the titanium root, the second step can be completed when an artificial tooth is attached to the implant. The artificial tooth is extremely similar in texture, function, and size to natural teeth and typically blends in inconspicuously with the rest of your teeth.

Though dental implants can be a very effective and aesthetically pleasing restorative dentistry procedure, patients must be good candidates to undergo the procedure. Because dental implants require the patient to undergo surgery, the candidate should be in good general health. The ideal candidate also has gums that are healthy and a sufficient amount of bone to support the titanium implants.

While the procedure to place dental implants is a two-step process, many dentists are only trained or qualified to do one or the other. Oftentimes, dentists only repair older implants rather than actually placing them. However, as a leading implant dentistry practitioner, implant dentist Tim Simpson is able to perform the dental implant procedure in its entirety out of his Abilene, Texas office. He performs both the surgical implantation of the titanium anchor and the placement of the artificial tooth, ensuring you the highest quality of care throughout the entire process.

The insecurity many people feel about their teeth often revolves around stained or discolored teeth. Whereas many whitening toothpastes promise to increase the whiteness of your teeth by a few shades over the course of weeks or months, a single teeth whitening visit to the Abilene, Texas office of Dr. Tim Simpson can produce much more significant results.

Dr. Tim Simpson elects to use the combination of theLUMIBRITEteeth whitening system and the Sapphire light in his Abilene office as the primary method of whitening, though he can also use the similar Sapphire and Zoom!2 whitening systems. The LUMIBRITE teeth whitening system uses a hydrogen peroxide-based bleaching gel to begin the whitening process. The gel includes a desensitizing agent to aid in the prevention of any future bleach-related sensitivity. The whitening gel is combined with application of the Sapphire light, a special whitening lamp that emits a particular wavelength of no-heat light. When the light hits the whitening gel, the gel breaks down to penetrate and break up the stains and discoloration on your teeth.

The foods and drinks you consume, when combined with the natural aging process, can steal away the natural luster of your teeth, causing them to look darkened and stained. Coffee, tea, cola, and red wine, as well as cigarettes and chewing tobacco, are the main culprits when it comes to losing the bright white of your teeth. However, thanks to the Zoom!2 teeth whitening treatment offered at Dr. Simpson's Abilene, Texas office, you can take regain your teeth's natural white color.

Because whitening treatments are so fast, convenient, and minimally-invasive, Zoom!2, one of our newest treatments, is quickly becoming one of our most popular procedures. Improving upon its predecessor, the Zoom!2 whitening treatment allows patients to experience an average improvement of eight shades of white with minimal sensitivity.
