Dr. Valerie Drake grew up in a small town in Texas. As a former nationally ranked junior tennis player and valedictorian of her class in high school, she has always strived to be the best at whatever she does. Accordingly, your mouth will be in good hands with Dr. Drake.
Dr. Drake grew up around dentistry. Her father is a dentist, so she was helping out in her familys dental office from the time she could walk. After attending the University of Texas in Austin for her undergraduate degree, she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Baylor College of Dentistry (Texas A&M College of Dentistry). She began practicing dentistry in 1999.
Outside of the office, Dr. Drake has a passion for serving the local community. She is a board member of Texas State Technical College Dental Hygiene School. Previously, she served as a board member for the American Cancer Society.
Dr. Drake is not content to take it easy. Instead, she takes many continuing education courses to make sure she is up to date on all the latest dental care techniques. She holds a Fellowship from both the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), as well as a Mastership from the same organization.

Dr. Drake and the staff at Aberdeen Smiles provides an amazing and positive experience. I had extractions done and was pain free and very quick. Very nice people! I really like Aberdeen Smiles, I think the dentists are in too much of a hurry though. Id feel more comfortable with them taking a bit more time to make sure everything is 100% rather than just getting the patients in and out so we dont have to sit in the chair too long. Ok so love this gal that cleans my teeth the whole staff is about NO PAIN so normally I would do a numbing rinse just to do a cleaning and it would have taken an hour or more and this gal only takes like 30 minutes altogether. Just shocked and love it.. so much anxiety when going and it just stops when you go there and super surprised!!! Will never Lauri Uecker

Dr. Christina Ky grew up in the suburbs of Dallas, TX. When she was a teenager, her dentist taught her preventive measures, which removed her fear of the unknown from dentistry. This interaction inspired her to become that type of dentist for her future patients. She attended the University of Texas at Dallas and then went on to Baylor College of Dentistry (Texas A&M College of Dentistry), where she earned her DDS in 2010.
Dr. Kys patients love that she works to make dentistry simple to understand. She is empathetic and does her best to remove any negative aspects that people tend to associate with going to the dentist. When a patient feels like their oral health is out of control, Dr. Ky likes giving them options and confidence knowing that she can help them achieve their goals.
In fact, the best part of her job is hearing a patient say, No one has ever told me that before. She enjoys helping patients understand prevention, the process of tooth changes, wear and tear over time, and how to have better dental health.
