24 months and under -The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry along with the American Dental Association recommends that children have their first dental visit by age one. Think of this as a well baby visit with an emphasis on healthy teeth and mouth. This will be an educational visit for our new parents. At this visit we review brushing, flossing, correct use of toothpaste, as well as habits, nutrition, breast feeding, bottle, sippy cup use etc. We also discuss what to anticipate in terms of future growth and tooth development. This visit is also a great opportunity for the family to have questions about their childs dental health reviewed and answered.
24 months and over - For this age group we provide a comprehensive dental and head and neck examination, cleaning and fluoride treatment depending on your childs needs and age. We may also recommend x-rays as necessary based on the risk factor for cavities and the need to monitor growth and development. Additionally for every child we provide nutrition information, and oral hygiene review with instruction. We conclude the visit with recommendations for your childs home routine that emphasizes on prevention based on your childs individualized needs.

Dr. Nick grew up in a small town in Armenia and he achieved his dental degree in Yerevan, Armenia. Dr Nick moved to the U.S in 1998, where he continued his education in dentistry and obtained his dental license in 2005. In 2013 Dr. Nick established his first ABC Kids Dental Group in the city of Pacoima, in 2015 he established his second ABC Kids Dental Group in the city of Sun Valley and he is currently preparing for his third ABC Kids Dental Group for its Grand Opening by the end of 2018 in the city of Granada Hills.
Its a known fact, that Dr. Nick is strongly loved by all patients because of his endless patience, caring approach and great professional skills. Besides being a high-demanded dentist by all ABC patients, Dr. Nick is also greatly appreciated and cared for by his both office personnel, colleagues and fellow dentists.
In his spare time, Dr. Nick truly enjoys professional swimming, biking, hiking and traveling to various destinations all around the world. He is also interested and very fond of astronomy and earth sciences.
Dr. Ariga grew up in Southern California. After attending University of Southern California, She completed her dental degree at Western University of Health Sciences College of Dental Medicine in Pomona, CA . Her favorite part about being a dentist is seeing the smile on a young persons face after doing a great job at the visit. Dr. Ariga understands that overcoming anxiety can play a big role in dentistry and she goes out of her way to approach pediatric dentistry in a positive, comforting, and friendly manner. It is amazing to see what patients can accomplish when they are listened to, supported, and then motivated.
When she is not in the office, Dr. Ariga enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She likes to unwind by swimming in the pool or at the beach. Dr. Ariga has been an active swimmer since she was 4 years old. She also enjoys playing tennis and bowling.
Dr. Nataliya Chernis completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Los Angeles and went on to receive her dental training at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Chernis is constantly striving to learn and regularly attends continuing education classes. She is a member of the ADA, CDA and the San Fernando Valley Dental Society. Dr. Chernis is patient, meticulous, thorough and strives to make her patients feels feel at ease. Outside of work, Dr. Chernis enjoys spending time with her family.
Dr. Jonathan Blinstrub graduated from California State University, Northridge. His academic work was rated superior and as a result he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He was then accepted to the University of California, San Francisco Dental School, recognized internationally in the field of dentistry. After graduating, he did a scholarship with the US Army treating active duty Soldiers as a captain and dentist at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. Upon completion of his commitment, he has returned to his home town in sunny California.
Dr Othman Sijlamassi was born and raised in casablanca, Morocco. He moved with his parents, sister and brother when he was 14 years old. The transition was a difficult one in the beginning but soon after that, he and his family felt at home in this wonderful new country. As the years went on, he studied a variety of fields from anthropology to architecture among many others, finally finding himself happiest caring for people in dentistry. Dr sijlamassi attended California state university of Northridge where he pursued his bachelor's degree in biology where he excelled and graduated at the top of his class. Following this, he achieved his dental degree at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California among the graduating class of 2013. Kids dentistry has been his passion throughout his dental career thus far and is thankful for every parent that trusts him with the privilege of caring for the oral health of their little ones. When not practicing dentistry, Dr Sijlamassi enjoys spending time with his family as well as reconnecting with his dental school friends, traveling, being outdoors and playing sports.
Dr. Maretta Oganesyan was born in Los Angeles, CA and completed her Bachelors in Biology at UCLA and in 2020 completed her DDS at USCs Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry. Throughout dental school, Dr. Oganesyan volunteered in many programs, giving dental care to underprivileged neighborhoods in Nicaragua, Panama, and the Philippines. During her volunteer programs, she discovered the importance of early positive dental care for children and thus pursued a career in providing kids dental care after graduating.
Dr. Maretta Oganesyan is passionate about working with children. She believes that a childs first few visits to a dentists office are the most important because they will influence the childs outlook on dentists and dental care later in adulthood.
Therefore, educating patients on oral care and providing a safe space are the forefront of Dr. Oganesyans practice. She always provides a nurturing and fun environment to make her patients feel more comfortable and less anxious.
Dr. Sheng grew up in Los Angels, California. She attended UCLA for her undergraduate as well as her dental education. She is certified in oral conscious sedation and practices sedation dentistry routinely. When she is not at the office, she can be found volunteering at one of the local animal shelters.

I first brought my daughter here because she needed emergency treatment to fill cavities with IV sedation and they were able to get her in quick. I seen all the reviews and it made me feel comfortable knowing patients had good experiences. After the follow up visit things seemed to be going okay despise the wait times. Mind you, I always brush her teeth twice a day and she hardly eats candy or anything sweet for that matter. Not sure if it's genetic, but her dad seems to also have sensitive teeth and is prone to cavities as much as he takes care of his teeth. We went for our 6 month follow up and turns out most of the fillings fell out. The dentist we seen here during that 6 month follow up mentioned how the first dentist didn't even know what she was doing which is why most of her fillings fell out. So he recommended to refill the cavities. So they strapped her down because she didn't want to do the laughing gas and refilled cavities, and it was hard seeing her cry so hysterically. Fast forward, THEY FELL OUT A SECOND TIME not even 6 months later. I decided to do the laughing gas the third time around and it was going to be done by a new dentist, it's like they change dentist every single time we go; he decided not to do it because she kept crying and moving, which is understandable. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and unfortunately do a second round of IV sedation and place crowns because they said her teeth are small and it's best to place crowns to prevent fillings from falling out and eventually become infected. I thought that was going to be it but guess what? Not even 2 months later a single filling fell out a tooth they filled THREE TIMES and a NEW dentist we seen here today said she needs a crown there. Now as parents, I'm sure you can imagine my frustration. If she needed a crown on that tooth, why wasn't it put the SECOND time they put her to sleep!? I politely declined because i needed to get out of there and just think things through because no parent likes seeing their kid cry hysterically or be put to sleep. And what does the dentist say?? "If mom doesn't want to do it it's okay, I would do it if it were me" and just walks out. And they still have the audacity to ask me to sign a form pretty much saying they've advised me what she needed and they won't be liable if something happens to her. LIKE???? it would be 100% your fault because it's definitely not my fault the dentist are incompetent and they have to keep putting my daughter through this! I do my part as a parent to make sure i brush her teeth every single day, and watch what she eats for her to be going through this!? NO. Everyone has different experiences but I'm done putting my daughter through something that isn't our fault!

I love this dental office. As a mother, it's always so nerve-wracking taking your child to the dentist. My daughter has had cleanings and fillings done at this office. What I appreciate is that the girls treat us so well and they are honest when it comes to recommended dental treatment. They even give out cute goodies bags to the kids afterward and pinatas for their birthdays.

After driving by a few times and had horrible experience with my kids previous dentist. I immediately fell in love with the staff and dentist. Super friendly! Very communicative, all work that needed to get done got done same day no other appointments to get treatment. I have 4 kids so this is golden! . Highly recommended my friends and family the wait room is amazing and the rooms are even more kid friendly.

today I visited the ABC kids denal clinic, I went around a lot of dental clinics, and you know that I have not seen the best clinic anywhere, I want to express my deep gratitude to the doctor, it was a man with short hair and glasses, unfortunately I don't know his name, this is a doctor from God he knows his job 1000%. he has golden hands, he made all my boy's teeth in a few minutes, he is very attentive, sympathetic, kind, understanding your situation and besides, he is very funny and cheerful. This is the person who is not afraid to entrust your child, I will definitely return only to this doctor. I highly recommend this clinic, thanks to the girls who explained to me and answered all my questions, with patience and kindness. These people don't run after your money, they don't try to force things on you, they get in your position and do their job to a high standard, they have the best prices in this state. Thank you so much for the healthy teeth of my children, I will definitely return to you.

This office is great. It's kid friendly. They have an animated robot who entertains the kids while u wait. It's awesome. I have a son who is terrified of any dentist office and he's difficult to work on. Any time there is any kind of procedure being done they usually need to use the hugging blanket but I went today and the DA, Andrea was amazing with him. She broke everything down to him so he knew what being done, what the tool did, how it felt. She was awesome. I can't thank her enough for being so patient with him bc he's difficult. Then the dentist came in and he's awesome as well. Highly recommended!

My sister referred me to this place and I wish I have made an appointment wwaaaayyy sooner!!! They were super nice, their office and room was so kids environment and had tvs for kids movies and I thought my daughter would make a fit or freaked out throughout the process but nope I was wrong. The nurse and the doctor were sooo friendly my daughter kept asking for them non stop. Can't wait for the next appointment

Amazing Staff and the ambiance is so nice and peaceful. Everyone is very professional and they treat the children with such love and gentleness. My children enjoy visiting their dentist because they aren't scolded but they are informed about the importance of brushing and maintaining their teeth nice and healthy. I am so happy I found this place. They have amazing perks, raffles and gifts. Hope this review comes in handy for any parent that needs to find something economical and enjoyable for children of all ages. Thank you ABC kids dental group in Granada Hills! So happy I found you.
