I havealways wanted to be a dental hygienist, since I was very young. My dad always stressed oral hygiene so I think that is what got me so interested in the field at a young age. I graduated from Mott Community College in 1999 with a degree in Applied Science. I have been practicng Dental Hygiene for over 20 years andwas blessed to join Dr. Abbott's team in 2008. I absolutely love my job and love taking care of my patients! I love building relationships with them and helping them improve their oral health! It is very rewarding to help patients get over their dental fears and see them improve their overall health by improving their oral hygiene.

I have been with my husband, Mark, since we were teenagers in high school. We have three beautiful kids, wonderful grandchildren that we absolutely adore, and two dogs.I am also a huge Michigan football fan! Go Blue!I love to travel and enjoy the beautiful, relaxing scenery with family and friends. Spending time with my family is my number one joy and priority!

I have three children and four grandchildren. In my free time, I love spending time with the grandkids. They make me feel like a kid again! I also volunteer for Ericas Kids, which is an organization that helps underprivileged kids, and enjoy gardening and going up north.

I entered the dental field later in life, having been a stay-at-home mom to my three children. I knew I would love working in the dental field through seeing my brother, who is a dentist, make a huge difference in the lives of many people. I was attending SVSU to persue a career in Dental Hygiene when a Dental Assistant position opened up at Dr. Abbott's office. I was very excited to finally be able to work in dentistry and also work in my hometown. Although I never finished hygiene school, I have taken many continuing education courses and am now the Office Manager. I am positive my path lead me to the position I was always meant to do.I feel so fortunate to have spent my entire career so far with this officeand cant imagine working anywhere else!

I was born and raised in Montrose so I know many of our patients or their families personally and get the pleasure of keeping in touch with many people I may not otherwise see. I now live in New Lothrup with my husband, Dennis, and our dog, Zeta. I have been blessed with one son, two daughters, a step-daughter, daughter-in-law, and a son-in-law. I also am the grandmother of four- the best role imaginable! When I'm not working, I enjoy singing, sewing, exercising, and spending time with family and friends.

I beganmy career in dentistry as a dental assistant through a co-op program in high school. I greatly enjoyed the dental field and wanted to expand my education, knowledge, and skills.I graduated from the University of Michigan as a Dental Hygienist in 1996 and it has been a passion of mine ever since. My goal is to provide a friendly, comfortable, pleasant experience while providing a gentle, yet thorough cleaning.I enjoy the personal connection with my patients and my role as an educator allows me to help them understand the relationship between their oral and systemic health. I strive to help them improve the health of their teeth and gums with a realistic approach and the latest techniques and products available in dentistry. My career in dentistry has been rewarding and I enjoy see our patients great smiles everyday!

Iam happily married and have two wonderful daughters who bring me a lot of joy. I love to spend as much time with them as I can.I also like to golf, swim, garden, and cheer on the U of M fooball team. Go Blue!

When I was 8, I was riding my bike, hit a curb, and flipped over my handle bars. I was taken to an emergency dental office where they saved my permanent front tooth. As I got older, I would always think about how grateful I was that they saved my tooth since it is the first thing you notice on someone when they smile. I wanted to do the same for others.

I went to dental assisting school at Coastal Carolina in North Carolina. I received my dental assisting diploma in May of 2005. At the start of my career, I was an assistant working in offices in Pennsylvania and Ohio. After moving to Michigan, I now split my time as a Dental Assistant and Financial Coordinator. As the financial coordinator, I assist and guide patients with their insurance and financial arrangements. I also create an individualized treatment planfor each patient, so they are aware of their dental needs in advance. In 2018, I decided to further my education and received my license as a Registered Dental Assistant.

As a young child, I knew that I wanted to be involved in the healthcare field. I oftenhelped kids on the playground with their 'boo-boos' and took joy in helping others feel better. While in college, I wasasked to help out at a local dental office and took them up on the offer. From that time forward, I was convinced that dentistry was the right choice for me! Working with patientsin a dental setting really hit home since I had to endure many dental procedures throughout childhood that were challenging to say the least. Having had many patients tell me that I 've helped them feel comfortable and less anxious for future visits is incredibly rewarding! I have now been an assistant for over 30 years, during which I received my Registered Dental Assisting License with Honors from Washtenaw Community College and attended manycontinuing education courses, including LVI Global. Finding joy in working to help others smile with confidence alongside Dr. Abbott and her team is fantastic. Dr. Abbott, as well as everyone on our team, share the same ethic of providing the highest level of care possible and I wouldn 't participate in anything less!

I reside with the love of my life, my son, and our 3 Miniature Schnauzers. My two kids are all grown up now; being their Mom has given me such purpose and joy over the years! In my spare time I enjoy gardening, crafts, and visiting family in West Virginia. Lastly, and with much anticipation, my amazing daughter and son-in-law blessed us with the arrival of our first granddaughter in 2019!
