This is the most expensive orthodontics for children in town. To start my 13 year old daughter needed a retainer after her braces. Her Braces costed me 9000 dollars and after removing them the retainer was 450.00 dollars. After having the retainer for two months it broke and I was told that I had to pay a additional 450.00 to replace it. The doctor of this place agreed to give me a discount on the replacement retainer so I thought that was the end of my daughters treatment and 6 months later I received a bill for 350.00 dollars more. If you can avoid this place please do so. After paying about 10,000.00 dollars. I learned that I could have went somewhere else and paid 3000.00 for the same service. Parents please look after for different orthodontics before going with the first one. It will save you a lot of money.

DO NOT GO HERE ITS BETTER PLACES. I would definitely give this place 0 stars!! I got my braces off maybe 2 years ago and i got my first retainer right after it broke 3 weeks after i got it it cost 500 dollars. My Mom requested another retainer they said it was going to cost another 500. My Mother did not want to pay another 500 dollars for a retainer that was most likely gonna break again. She agreed with Dr. Abar to only pay 175 dollars for the retainer and he would cover the rest i got the retainer. IT BROKE AGAIN AFTER ONE MONTH OF HAVING IT WE SUPER GLUED IT BACK TOGETHER 6 months has pasted and the retainer broke again but we kept super glueing it back. 6 months goes by and there charging my mother 350 dollars for the retainer she called them and they tried to tell her that she did not pay when she clearly had a talk with Dr. Abar about only paying 170 dollars and him covering the rest so why are they sending a 350 dollar bill to us expecting us to pay it. DO NOT GO HERE MY MOM JUST FOUND OUT THERES A PLACE ALSO IN PINOLE THAT ONLY CHARGES 3000 WE PAYED 9000 WITH THE RETAINER 10,000 DONTTT GO HERE.

Great customer service and care from providers, dental assistants, and front desk. I believe Dr. Abar and his partner are technically skilled. His office is quick to respond and get me seen if ever an issue with wire poking into my gums or bracket falling off. However, I am giving 3 stars because I was told insurance would cover a significant portion for my braces and therefore agreed to get my braces put on the same day. But Dr. Abar told me a week later - sorry the insurance actually doesn't cover it so I have to charge you the 8K full price which is very very expensive. I highly recommend anyone considering braces with Dr. Abar to get multiple quotes from various practices first and verify in writing if your dental insurance covers any portion of your braces before committing. Otherwise you will feel very disappointed and cheated.

My daughter used braces for 2 and a half years we were always very well attended, we had all the support we need and we are happy with the new smile. thank you for the great work you are excellent professionals receptionist and doctors thank you I wish you all success

Would give no stars, if there was a option. Went in for general consultation for a retainer since my teeth shifted. Gave me a quote which was on the high side. Later saw he charged my insurance hundreds of dollars for a freaking consultation?!? Ridiculous a lot of place charge nothing for a a general Consultation which didn't last for more than 10 Minutes. Rip off. Dr Gold who ran the practice earlier was a lot good who I got braces from, he retired.

If I could give them a NO star I would.. worse place ever! They get you in and some how fadangle you to signing for braces. Staff is rude! Super small place and always crowded, I have seen no results in my daughters teeth and the worse part is they recommend braces and now that she has them I've been back and forth to remove her wire because she needs a lot of work done. Make sure before you get your child braces that there are no cavities, no teeth to be removed or worked on! I'm so mad at my self!!!

I put a complaint with the association. He put metal braces for free. He knew he was wrong. There is no limit when you get the Invisalign. You can get as many as you need until you results are desired. He try to played me saying there's no more Invisalign and that I needed metal braces for 2,500 additional. Please save your time and money. Void this place!

Got my braces on 2007 and off 2008 because we were moving out of state. My teeth have remained perfect for 10 years. Seriously amazing job even tho they only had a short time to fix some gap rabbit teeth.

Worst orthodontist ever. Makes us pay for an extra set of retainers which cost $500 when they could've simply just fixed up the old one or gave the new one for free since we already paid for the whole braces. I do not recommend the place at all

Dr. Abar is a wonderful orthodontist. I was a patience with a few challenges, I was not just a straight braces individual and just come back for adjustments. He worked with my problem and made sure everything was going well. I moved to GA while in treatment and he worked with my schedule. My final visit he made sure I had everything done the same day so I didn't have to come back to get my retainers. I love Dr. Abar and his stuff, they are always very helpful and you feel you matter to them. I recommend this doctor to everyone, he is a great orthodontist.
