Born at Centre Community Hospital, he has lived all over the country. At the age of three, Aaron moved with his family from their farm in Penns Valley, to Midland, Texas, in the heart of the Texas oil patch. From Midland, the family moved to Elk City, Oklahoma, and then to Shaker Heights, Ohio, where Aaron was graduated from Shaker Heights High School, which counts movie star Paul Newman among its most illustrious alumni.
After high school, Aaron then returned to State College, earning a bachelors degree from Penn State in 2001. Dental school took him to Philadelphia where he received a degree from the Temple University School of Dentistry in 2006. While in Philadelphia, Happy Valley was never far from his mind, and he is delighted to be back in the area near his family.
In a town noted for its transient population, Aaron has deep roots. All of Aarons grandparents were long time residents of State College and both of his parents were graduates of State High. In fact, Aaron isnt the first Dr. Roan to practice in State College. Aarons great grandmother was one of State Colleges first female optometrists. She opened her practice on East College Avenue in the1930s.
A member of the American Dental Association and Pennsylvania Dental Association, Dr. Roan is an avid hunter, fisherman, and Penn State football fan. In his spare time he volunteers for the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts and First Night State College.
Dr. Roan is certified in Invisalign, a system where clear plastic trays are used to move teeth and is a member of the ADA, PDA, Centre Dental Society and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.

I had an appointment for filling cavity. First time they canceled my appointment because of less than 10 min late arrival just when I arrived there despite the fact that when I called them they told me it is ok if you arrive late. The next appointment Dr. Robert Hackman was really nervous and tried to convince me to schedule another appointment for filling cavity and when I explained communing is taking time with a anxious tone he told me just change your dental office and this is the thing I will do.

Such a great experience, made the often daunting dental visit so pleasant. Great and welcoming staff especially the nurse Rose, who was super gentle and kind, so was the doctor too - highly recommended this practice, you will be guaranteed in good hands.

Very professional. Wanted a crown replaced so gave them a call. Seen within a day and the crown was put back on. No new crown needed, and was in and out in 30 minutes. Wasn't charged anything for additional exams or x-rays, just did what I wanted and everyone was courteous.

My entire family sees Dr. Roan and his associates and we couldn't be happier. Ashley spent hours (and missed her lunch break!) with my daughter to make sure her implant crown was perfect. Heather is terrific too--always willing to accommodate my cleaning preferences!

I have been going to Dr. Roan for years now and have never been disappointed with the care I've received. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming, and Dr. Roan is a great dentist. Ask for Shannon! She does a fantastic job making sure your teeth are pearly white by the time you leave.

I have been going here for a few years. I have a phobia about dentists but Dr. Roan and his assistant Ashley calmed my fears and made me feel comfortable enough to get a crown. Ashley was so patient with me and gentle . Next time I wont be so afraid. The rest of the staff were also friendly.. Thanks, A very happy patient
