Dry mouth, or xerostomin is the result of decreased saliva production, which affects up to 60% of older adults. Saliva lubricates the mouth helping to prevent decay and protect tooth enamel. But dont worry; there are plenty of ways to manage this condition.
Dry mouth can be caused by a variety of reasons, including medications you may be taking, radiation or cancer treatments, smoking, immune deficiency, systemic diseases (such as diabetes, Parkinsons, Sjogren syndrome) or salivary gland aplasia.
Also, avoid alcohol or alcohol products (including mouth rinses containing alcohol), glycerin or lemon tooth swabs, food or drinks promoting dry mouth (caffeine, sweet sticky foods, spicy, acidic or dry foods) and lemon or cinnamon flavored candy or gum.Content supplied by the Brushing Up on Mouth Care program.

We use to live in Naples but then we moved to Orlando. We love them so much we just drive the distance for a cleaning. It is worth the gas prices for a dentist you can trust. They make you feel like family which is something not all business strive for. Wish I could give a higher rating than five.

I usually don't write reviews good or bad, but I had to. It's not a trade secret that dentist aren't everyone's favorite, but I must say going to A2Z Dental was very pleasant, from coming into the office and being greeted to the actual checkup. Dr. Lewicki and her assistant Annie were great, delicate, taking their time to address concerns, listening and coming up with a game plan. Would definitely recommend and go back anytime.

Very kind and caring, gentle. They didn't try to sell me a ton of superfluous products and were knowledgeable about my insurance. I'll definitely be getting all my dental care done here from now on

Amazing experience! A2Z Dental is family owned and unlike larger, franchise dental offices I've been to in the past, my experience at this office was very warm, welcoming and caring! They provide their patients with the best care and explain procedures, prices, and insurance related topics very thoroughly. Greg was very accommodating when we were trying to schedule my cleaning and follow-ups and my dentist and her dental assistant were incredibly kind, gentle and knowledgeable. I will be recommending this practice to all friends and family in the area!

From the minute you walk in the door you know that you are going to have a great experience. Greg at the front desk is extremely polite & helpful. Dr. Lana does a fantastic job at cleaning, fixing and examining your teeth. I trust her completely and they do not rip you off. She only recommends what you actually need to get done and she really cares. I love that the same staff are always there with a smile on their face and they remember yours too. 1000% Recommend. I know she has my interest at heart & I trust her assessment of my current situation & recommendations to keep my teeth in best health I can!
