Dr. Shera Sims was born in Lawrence, Kansas and was raised in Hutchinson, Kansas where she attended high school. She attended the University of Kansas where she received her undergraduate degrees in Biology and Systemics/Ecology. In 2002, she completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri-School of Dentistry.
She completed a one year General Practice Residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut, followed by a 2 year Pediatric Dental Residency which she completed in 2006. In 2007, Dr. Sims attained her Pediatric Dental Board Certification.
She is currently a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, a member of the AAPD, ADA, past president and member of the MoAPD and member of the KCAPD.
Dr. Sims has a strong commitment to philanthropy and has donated time to MOMOM, Team Smiles and various school screenings. She is also a Clinical Faculty member at a hospital based dental residency program and sits on the Harrisonville School Foundation Board.

Dr. Sims is phenomenal with kids. She knows how to make them for comfortable. She's the greatest.. Her staff is out of this world, the greatest staff you will ever meet.. my kids aren't scared of the dentist anymore.

Dr Sims and her office staff are great. My 4 kids have seen her for cleanings and dental work for over 5 years now. She does a great job of chatting with the kids and keeping them calm. She just has a wonderful way of interacting with children. Definitely recommend.

My son has been with Dr. Sims since he was 4 yrs old. He is now 17 and still loves to go see her. The entire staff is wonderful, if I ever have a question about anything they are very helpful. I would Highly recommend them, they truly care about their patients!

We've been seeing Dr. Sims for years, and are so happy that she's our kids' dentist! She and all the staff are so good with the kids, and make them feel comfortable. She's also very knowledgeable and has provided excellent dental care.

I cried this evening thinking about this wonderful woman of a dentist to young children. I will be moving out of state to a very populated east coast town and as she stated we won't get a gal like her for we sure won't, she helped us with referrals to our next destination. She hugged my son and said "do go things". I love this woman and her practice and employees. Thank you, for being you, World of Smiles !

A bunch of thieves! When you have good insurance and the treating facility is too lazy to do their due diligence to pre authorize with the insurance company. Then then they try to pass their mistakes on to the patient in the form of a bill. We will never go back, I will never have anything good to say about this business, and they will never see another dime from me. The $80 that they think they are owed I'd rather burn than give it to them.
