Dr. Zita Baker always knew what she wanted to do - she was even writing essays in the sixth grade about pursuing a career in dentistry. She first earned her degree as a dental hygienist from the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery of the University of Maryland, Baltimore. She practiced as a hygienist for five years, and then went back to dental school, receiving her D.D.S. from Howard University College of Dentistry.
Dr. Baker has continued her education with training from the Bicon Institute for Dental Implants. She is also enrolled in the curriculum at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. She is a member of the National Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the North Carolina Dental Society, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc and Omicron Kappa Upsilon (The National Dental Honors Society). She volunteers doing dental work for migrant farmers and participates in the Give Kids a Smile Program each year.
After growing up in Washington D.C., Erica moved to Fayetteville and has actively worked as the scheduling coordinator for A Smile Spa since 2008. She provides excellent customer service to each patient as she checks them in and out of the treatments, schedules, answers phones, arranges payments, works in billing, and helps the office run smoothly and efficiently.
Mary was raised in Washington D.C. and became a part of the team in 2012 after moving to Fayetteville. She completed applied career training in 2001 and graduated dental assisting school the same year, which means that she has over 13 years of experience in the dental field! Mary loves working alongside her team and caring for each of her patients. She knows she fits in great with the team because shes easy to get along with, and her fellow team members are great!
Pierinna is originally from Queens and studied at LaGuardia Community College. She is trained in CPR/AED and is a Certified Medical Assistant (Phelbotomist and EKG Technician) as well. Today, her career in the dental field covers seven years and counting. Her favorite part of working here at A Smile Spa is being able to interact so positively with all of the patients!
Pierinna is the middle child in a family of five. Her hobbies outside of work include exercising, running, collecting brand name watches and sunglasses, and spending time with her dog and other loved ones. Shes also a passionate traveler and is always game for exploring new places.
