Dr. Derrick C. Call was born and raised in Salt Lake City, UT. In 2006, he earned a Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering and a minor in Chemistry at the University of Utah. Afterwards, Dr. Call attended the Goldman School of Dental Medicine at Boston University from 2008 to 2012 as a recipient of the Health Professions Scholarship Program from the US Navy.

Dr. Call was commissioned as a Lieutenant in the Dental Corps of the US Navy on May 22, 2012 and following his military officer training, reported to Camp Pendleton, CA. During his first year he completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency where he expanded his surgical and general dental abilities. He participated in multiple field exercises with the Marines he was stationed alongside and subsequently achieved his Fleet Marine Force Officer Warfare Qualification. Dr. Call also earned the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal and additional medals for expert pistol and rifle marksmanship.

In the Summer of 2015, he accepted orders to serve at the Makalapa Naval Dental Clinic in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. After his first year, Dr. Call was selected by the Commanding Officer to direct 2 additional dental clinics on the island, first the Wahiawa Naval Dental Clinic, and second, the Camp Smith Marine Corps Base Dental Clinic which provided services for the Commanding Generals and Admirals for the pacific region. It was during this time that Dr. Call was selected for promotion to Lieutenant Commander and awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal.

In 2018, following his six joyful years serving in the military, Dr. Call and his family decided to open a new chapter in their life. He bought a home back in Oceanside and began working in private practice. Dr. Call is husband to a lovely, talented wife, Melinda, and father of 3 fun children, Annie, Henry, and George. He enjoys basketball, bicycles and motorcycles, piano, shooting, hiking, swimming, and goofing off with his kids.

Dr. Christopher McLellan is originally from Brick, New Jersey. He received his bachelor of Science in Biology from the College of New Jersey in 2007. He holds a Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree from Rutgers Dental School, graduating in 2012 with Honors.

Dr. McLellan was accepted into the United States Navy Health Professions Scholarship Program, and was commissioned a Dental Corps Officer in 2008. After graduating dental school, he was stationed in Camp Pendleton, CA as a member of 1st Dental Battalion. He completed the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program in 2013, where he enhanced his dental training in endodontics, oral surgery, implant dentistry, and restorative dentistry. Dr. McLellan then served as the dental officer for the 1st and 4th Marine Regiments.

From there, he was assigned to United States Naval Hospital Yokosuka, Japan where he served as the dental officer for sailors from the Carrier Strike Group that deploys with the USS Ronald Reagan. After two memorable years living and working in Japan, Dr. McLellan returned to San Diego where he served as the dental officer at Marine Corps Air Station, Miramar. During this tour, Dr. McLellan was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Commander, and awarded with his third Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.

During his free time, Dr. McLellan enjoys golfing, hiking, surfing, and hes working on improving his photography skills. His time in military service also made him love to travel abroad and experience different cultures.

Rachel is our lovely receptionist and is always ready to help you with a big smile. Rachel has lived in Fallbrook for more than 30 years, her hobbies include baking, spending time with family and her chickens.

Sandra has been in the dental field for over 20 years and has extensive training in management. Sandra loves to help patients achieve their over all dental care while coordinating office needs. In her spare time, Sandra loves to cook, go to concerts/sporting events and spend time with family.

Cristina received her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology, with an emphasis in Health Science in 2019 at California State University San Marcos. She is passionate about overall health care and would love to have a career in working with special needs children someday. She enjoys working in an organized work environment and being the first point of contact helping patients in the office. In her free time, she loves to discover new places to eat with family and friends. Oftentimes, you can find her binge watching Star Wars.

Our newest member at A Smile Shoppe. She entered the dental field in 2010 as a chairside RDA and became experienced in both front and back office management. Her command of English and Spanish languages brings an added ability to care for ESL members of the community. Born in Blythe, CA, a small, quiet town, she enjoys playing on the water of the Colorado River, riding quads, hiking with her husband, and time with their little girl.

Since 2001, Adriana joined the team of professionals at A Smile Shoppe. In her words, 'I had no intentions on becoming an assistant. After working chairside next to Dr. Sorge, it became evident to me that I had an eagerness to expand my knowledge in dentistry. Following additional training and completing several courses, I obtained my license.' She is fluent in Spanish. Married since 2009, she quickly began her family. Her hobbies include weight lifting and hiking.

Julie enjoys the challenges associated with the changes in the dental field over the years, especially technology. She joined the A Smile Shoppe team in 2009. Julie has been married for 28 years and has 2 lovely children and enjoys working in her garden, baking, sewing and, of course, family time.

Hello! My name is Maurice Moore and I 'm originally from sunny San Diego, CA. My assisting grew to practicing dental hygiene and I graduated from Concorde Career College in 2016. Since then I 've been in the field practicing my craft and making sure everyone has their best smiles. On the weekends you can find me at the beach with my family or lifting weights in the gym. Aloha! Debi was born and lived in Hawaii for many years. Her husband thoroughly enjoys the country life in beautiful Fallbrook. She has been working at A Smile Shoppe for nearly 30 years. Elaine has been in Dentistry for over 20 years, starting with specialty care like Oral Surgery and Prosthodontics. 'Early on, I found my passion in Dental Hygiene.' Dentistry has allowed her to build many relationships, especially through continued care in the hygiene department. Elaine loves spending time with her family, exercising and volunteering in the community.
