Dr. Roman Izmailov graduated from dental school in Eastern Europe in 1984. After moving to New York City in 1992, Dr. Izmailov attended the New York University College of Dentistry (NYUCD), where he graduated among the top of his class. After graduation, Dr. Izmailov completed his general and implant dentistry residency at Bellevue Hospital in New York City. Following his residency, Dr. Izmailov served as a faculty member and Clinical Director at NYUCD.
Committed to giving back to his community, Dr. Izmailov has worked with the community outreach program at Refuah Health Center in Rockland County, New York, and was also the Dental Director at the Monsey Family Medical Center, where he helped coordinate dental care for patients in need. Dr. Izmailov has been chosen as a Top Dentist by Hudson Valley Magazine for several years.
WIth an established practice in Pomona since 2001, Dr. Izmailov continues to expand his skills and dental knowledge by completing hundreds of hours of continuing education in all phases of dentistry including cosmetic dentistry, implant dentistry, endodontics, periodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery and more.
An active member of his community, Dr. Izmailov has lived in Rockland County for 25 years and has three children, two of whom are now doctors. His older daughter is a pediatric dentist , his middle daughter is a pediatric psychiatrist, and Dr. Izmailovs youngest is currently a student in dental school. In his free time, Dr.Izmailov enjoys spending time with his grandchildren, traveling and reading.

I had a bridge done by Dr. Alekseyeva and an implant cap done by Dr. Izmailov. The job they did was absolutely outstanding! They are both extremely professional and efficient, and the office is immaculate. Irena arranged all my appointments. In addition, she provided extensive information and made me feel confident about the procedures. After I had completed everything, Irena called to make sure everything went ok. I highly recommend A&R. Dental Group.

Dr Izmalov does excellent work. His equipment are state of the art, the most advanced. He works fast and professionally! He has magic hands and knows what he's doing. I have great experiences every time I go to him!

Just had a root canal done. It was "so" smooth, less discomfort then a usual cleaning. Professionally done. Uses advanced equipment. Thanks Dr Roman!

I went to A&R Advanced Dental Group a week ago to redo a crown I had done over ten years ago at a different dental office. Dr. Izmailov made the procedure very comfortable and pain free. He consistently checked to made sure I was not feeling any pain and also provided me with a neck pillow for extra comfort. Additionally, he communicated with me throughout the procedure to let me know what he was doing. Dr. Izmailov and his team pride themselves on providing excellent service; therefore, I recommend A&R Advanced Dental Group

I had a crown done and at first there was a problem and it cracked. (This was due to the lab not properly cleaning the metal part.) A & R Advanced Dental Group made sure to get me an appointment right away. It looked like I might need a root canal and I was a bit hysterical about that because of past negative experiences with other dentists. But Dr. Ismailov did his best to avoid any extra procedures while still taking very good care of me. He redid the crown expertly free of charge after figuring out a way to see if I'd need the root canal or not. I felt that he really cared about avoiding extra unnecessary pain and costs. I'm so grateful for the excellent service and expertise!

I can't say enough about my experience with Dr Izmailov. He was thorough, he listened to my concerns and explained in details what he saw in my X-ray. I've had bad experiences with dentist in the past, so I get nervous when it's time to see the dentist. I must say he made me feel comfortable all the way through my visit and it was painless, he truly has GREAT hands!! I'm so happy I FINALLY found a dentist I trust! HIGHLY recommended!!

I was looking for a good dentist and got referred to this one after some research. Was totally not disappointed!! Great, professional job done in a very delicate manner!!! Extremely patient and caring. He knows his work so well. I totally trusted him and felt very comfortable! Above all, the price was very reasonable! Would highly recommend!!

I have been going to A&R dental since 2014 and I have always had a great experience. Irina & Lars are friendly and accommodating. Most recently I needed an appointment on a specific day and even though they were booked solid they kept in contact with me and squeezed me in on the day I needed. I am grateful for that! The dental hygienist ( I am bad with names ) is always careful and gentle during my teeth cleanings. Dr. Roman Izmailov has kept a close eye on the health of my teeth for several years now. I entrust in him and I recommend his practice! Their office is clean and welcoming and I always leave feeling refreshed and happy knowing that my teeth are in good health. :).

Been going here since December of 2020 & have had no issues. They are sufficient, clean & quick. Had a check up done 2 weeks ago they saw 2 cavities scheduled my follow up appt that was today at 2:30pm for 2 fill-ins was walking out before 3:00pm & PAIN FREE. Scheduled my 6 month check-up appt & I am g2g.
