Dr. Tim Herman graduated from the UCSF School of Dentistry in 1988. He has been practicing dentistry at A+ Dental Care in Roseville and Lincoln since January of 1989 and became one of the owners of the practice in January 1993. Dr. Herman enjoys practicing dentistry with the great group of doctors at A+ Dental Care and looks forward to the future of dentistry and continuing to provide quality dental care to patients.
Dr. Abdon Manaloto has been apart of the A+ Dental Care Team since 1995. He was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and graduated from the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry.
Dr. Tania Nelson-Chrystal graduated with honors from UCLAs Dental school. Dr. Nelson-Chrystal accepted a position in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery program at the University of Maryland at Baltimore and the R. Adam Cowley Shock Trauma Center. This prestigious program is world-renowned in trauma surgery, head and neck reconstruction, and microvascular surgery. During her six-year residency, Dr. Nelson-Chrystal also obtained her Medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
Dr. Kayla Nguyen is a graduate from UC Davis and UC San Francisco. Dr. Nguyen is a Sacramento native who now resides in Roseville, since joining A+ Dental Care in 2002. She has advanced training in cosmetic dentistry from the Northern California Institute of Cosmetic Dentistry and is certified by the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation. She enjoys improving patients smiles and helping patients overcome their dental fears. She also has special interests in Oral Surgery, implant and laser dentistry. Dr. Nguyen enjoys working with patients of all ages.
Dr. Flaviane Petersen has advanced training in dental implants, cosmetic dentistry, sleep apnea splint, Botox for TMJ related pain and is also certified in Oral Conscious Sedation. Dr. Petersen loves to change peoples lives by improving their smiles and overcoming their dental fears. Dr. Petersen is very active in the community.
Dr. Christopher Cooper is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and the University of Florida. Dr. Cooper practiced dentistry for four years in the Navy and is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He joined A+ Dental Care in 2004 and lives in Rocklin with his wife and kids. Dr. Cooper enjoys providing excellent dental care for all of his patients and loves creating great dental experiences for children. Dr. Cooper is an avid sports fan and enjoy skiing, softball, basketball and spending time with his family.
After graduating from New York University College of Dentistry in 2003, Dr. Henry Dean served as chief resident at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, New York. He worked as an associate dentist for several years before deciding to open his own practice. Wanting to be closer to family, he and his wife moved to northern California and now calls A+ Dental Care his home. Dr. Dean is committed to providing the best care possible for his patients through extensive postdoctoral continuing education in cosmetic dentistry, prosthodontic and implantology.
Dr. Ayat Elsherif B.A., B.Dent.Sc, MFDS RCSEd, DDS, graduated as a dentist from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland in 2010 and subsequently completed an optional year of Foundation Training with the Northern Deanery in the UK. She then completed a year as a senior house officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Oxford University Hospital, UK. She then returned to Ireland and worked as an associate dentist in her hometown of Dublin before relocating to California with her husband. Ayat completed her second dental degree at the prestigious Dugoni School of Dentistry, University of the Pacific in San Francisco graduating with honors in 2017. She has since worked as an associate in Sacramento where she lives with her husband and two children.
Dr. Robert Ash has been a part of the A+ Dental Care team since 2019. He grew up in Syracuse, New York, and studied physics in college at Binghamton University. Dr. Ash received his dental degree from USC.
Dr. Rahmani graduated from Dental school in 2007 from one of the top universities in Iran. She ran her private practice for about 7 years before moving to America and continuing her dental education at the prestigious University of Washington. Throughout her professional career, Dr. Rahmani has kept herself updated on the latest advances in dentistry. As part of the process of continuing her educational and professional growth, Dr. Rahmani has completed many supplemental courses in the area of cosmetics, implants, endodontics, and Orthodontics. She has 2 US patents in the Dental Implant field. She joined A+ Dental Care in 2020 and her mission is to provide patients with the same dental care as she would deliver to her family members.

****Orthodontist Patients Beware**** SEE ATTACHED PHOTOS OF WHAT OVER TWO YEARS OF APPOINTMENTS AND $5000 GETS YOU! They will not deliver promised results. We spent around two years and around $5000 only to be left to start over again with horrible results acknowledged by the owner of A+ Dental (Dr. Herman). Don't trust Dr, Herman like we did! He doesn't seem to care or stand behind his work, but has no problem asking you to pay for his Company's mistakes. Specifically, Dr. Jacobson who does the Orthodontics. (He may even float around to other A plus offices in the area so beware!). Half way through our treatment, my daughter started expressing concerns with her over-bite getting worse, but was told we'd (A+ Plus Dental) get them pulled back! We never missed an appointment or any required home treatment (rubber bands, etc.), or were given any other treatment options (like pulling teeth). Immediately after removing the braces, it exposed how bad her over-bite was. We did a follow up appointment a week after they were removed only to be told we'd have to spend an additional $5000-$8000 to get the results we were originally promised. When complaining about her over-bite the Orthodontists (Dr. Jacobson's) comment was, "At least they're straight!" The worst part of this is my fourteen-year-old daughter is embarrassed when she smiles, because the results are so bad. Not only is her over-bite worse, but her teeth are crooked. They are far worse now than when they started. Now she will have to wear braces throughout High School to get her teeth corrected and we will have to go through an additional two years of appointments and treatments. BAIT and SWITCH. We were only promised our desired results if we spent double the amount of what we originally agreed to (additional $5000-$8000). After getting the "Run Around" from the owner Dr. Herman for a few weeks. So, we decided to have other Orthodontists look at her results, and they agreed her Teeth were probably in worse shape than when she started and it would take at least two years of competent treatment to fix A+ Dental's horrible work. We gave them every opportunity to make it right, but their solution in the end was for us to spend an addition $5000-$8000 to fix THEIR horrible treatment. As a result, I have reported them to the Dental Board of CA and will be seeking a legal remedy to resolve the issue of money, unfortunately my daughter will have to live with the embarrassing results and wasted two years until we can get competent treatment started.

Not a fan of end of year additional billing surprises. Especially, after paying for the service quoted. My husband and I asked for our accounts to be deactivated and I was still receiving text and calls. I called the office, asked to be removed again and the representative was very rude and unprofessional. Which helps validate our decision to move on!!!

Coming from someone who's neglected their teeth for a very long time and has had a fear of seeing a dentist all their life- this place is great! They got me in quickly. They weren't judgmental about all the work I needed and just addressed the most important things first. Dr. Chrystal got me through a really bad infection while still meeting my budget and the assistant calmed me during the oral surgery procedures. They were very gentle during my cleaning around my sensitive areas and considerate of my pain level. Recovery has gone smoothly both times so far and my prescriptions were sent in right away.

I was referred to this office from my orthodontist, for some work with their on site laser. Fantastic initial visit, and the dentist found that I had had a small cavity. He painlessly fixed the cavity within just a few minutes and I didn't even have to schedule a visit. I would recommend without any hesitation!

I have been with A+ Dental for over 10 years, all in your Folsom office. I unfortunately will not be returning after my last visit with Dr. Rahmani. I was truly happy with Dr. Rubenstein, but he seemed to have been removed from the office with no explanation (I was told he was "in training"). Then I was scheduled with Dr. Rahmani for my last few appointments. Though she has been capable and friendly, my last visit was VERY uncomfortable. She asked me if I had gotten the Covid vaccine yet, to which I said "no" and that "I did not want it until it has been tested more stringently". She then pushed me hard on why I "need" it and the remainder of the appointment (including while she worked on me while I was having a cavity filled) she spent telling me why it was critical I get it. I found this completely out of line, not her role in any stretch of the imagination, and her direct persistence unacceptable. This vaccine is a personal choice and not in her position to adamantly push her perspectives on your patients. I will be finding a new dentist that is not overly caught up in the media manipulation of Covid, or the vaccination. Just not professional one bit! Thank you for the years of dentistry and I wish you all well.

I have had several unpleasant experiences at this dentist office. They try to take advantage of you and tell you that you need work done that you clearly don't. Simply to get more money out of you. Not only that but there receptionist have horrible attitudes and do not treat patients with respect or kindness. Will never go back to this dental office. EVER!

My 1st visit to A Plus Dental Care was a very pleasant experience! The office is nice, clean , inviting and observing the latest Covid-19 precautions. From the receptionist, to my hygienist, my dentist and the office manager, everyone was courteous, professional and made me fill @ ease in a new environment. I would definitely recommend A Plus Dental Care off Coloma Way in Roseville CA!
