Born and raised in the United Kingdom, in a city calledKingston-Upon-Hull, Dr. Mallik holds dual citizenships in the United States and the UK. He received his bachelors degree from the University of South Florida, then earned his dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where he also completed a certificate in Advanced Education in General Dentistry.
Dr. Mallik continued his training at the University of Pennsylvania where he was a Fellow in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and also received a Certificate in Anesthesia. He then went on to complete a residency in endodontics at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry after which he received his Certificate of Specialization.
In 2021 Dr Mallik became a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontists earning Board Certification. A designation achieved by only 32% of endodontists nationally, and one demonstrating the highest level of education and commitment to the specialty.
Dr. Mallik has professional memberships in the American Dental Association, American Dental Education Association, American Association of Endodontists, European Society of Endodontics and the British Endodontic Society. He is also a member of the North Carolina Dental Society, the Tar Heel Endodontic Association, the Durham-Orange Dental Society, and the John Hansel Study Club.
He enjoys taking continuing education courses in endodontics and regularly attends meetings both in the US and in Europe gaining different perspectives on the specialty which allows him to give the optimum treatment to his patients.
Heather joined our practice in 2010 after graduating from DATC Dental Assistant Program. She worked as a dental assistant initially and was promoted to Office Manager in January 2013. She currently resides in Burlington, North Carolina with her husband and two children. In her spare time, she enjoys being with her family and friends and going to the beach.
Dhara joined our practice in 2009 after graduating from the Dental Assisting Program in Salem, Connecticut. She currently resides in Cary, North Carolina with her husband and their two daughters. In her spare time, she likes to travel, read and cook for her family and friends.
