Dr. Nguyen is married and has three children, one son and two daughters. His oldest son is Dr. Anthony. His second child, Cecelia is a plastic surgeon residing in Denver, CO and the youngest daughter, Gabrielle is set to attend The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 2022. Dr. Nguyen and his wife also raise two dogs at home, a Shih Tzu named Max, and a Maltese named Meeko.
Janet attended Hillsborough Community College and has been with A Family Dentist since 2006. She says she is doubly blessed because she not only gets to work with a great team, but also enjoys interacting with our patients and helping each enjoy the best possible oral health.
I had lost my dentist in Tampa due to injury & was in the middle of having some dental work done. After asking around Dr. Nguyen's name came up more than once. I have been going to him ever since. Based on my experience & that of others in my social circle I have found A Family Dentist is an honest & reputable clinic. Update as of May 2019, my opinion of this practice has gone from very good to excellent.

My first vist went great. I thought I had. Bad tooth, the Dr. Explained it was not that tooth, but a filling in another tooth. I totally appreciate his honesty and straight forward conversation. Also had a cleaning which was the best I have had in a long time. Janet took the time to make sure my teeth were clean to my satisfaction. What a refreshing experience. I would recommend.

I got my appointment for a checkup and cleaning very quickly. The office staff was courteous and friendly. The hygienist did a good job of x-rays and cleaning. The doctor came in and did a thorough exam. Great service as far as I'm concerned.

Both my wife and I have had our dental care from this father and son team for several years. They consistently provide great care and their staff is proficient and friendly. Today's visit cleared my stained teeth quickly and effectively.

They did not explain they were out of network and were specifically told to explain the charges before anything is done and they didn't and the surprise charge came at the end. the dentist might be good, but his staff need to be thorough about if they are in-network or not. yes, a senior citizen should check with the insurance and not trust the professional staff at Dr Nguyen's office.

This was my first visit at A Family Dentist. Dr. Nguyen was very thorough with the exam and explained all the issues I am experiencing. The staff developed a visit plan that was acceptable to me. I felt very comfortable with all the answers and I did not feel rushed. I would highly recommend the practice.

Dr. Anthony Nguyen was extremely knowledgeable, caring, and compassionate when caring for our son Louis (see picture). We are very thankful for his care and would highly recommend this practice. Also, Vana is amazing!

I came in because a crown cap had come unglued. However; a large cavity was noted next to the tooth I came in for, and the dentist also cleaned and filled the cavity for me at this appointment which I really appreciated. This is an outstanding practice. I have been a patient for over 7 years, and this is the best dental practice ever in my 60+ years of yearly/semi yearly visits to a dentist's office.

Always a wonderful experience. Today I had the pleasure of meeting Jr for the first time and also a new hygienist, she was amazing! Very informative, knowledgeable and engaging. Easy to talk to and just all around comfort in knowing that they all truly care. This is a great team that takes pride in their patients. Highly recommended for all dental needs.

This was my second cleaning at this office. I am very happy to find this dental office in my area. Staff is nice and very thorough. I would recommend them to my friends and family. I actually have made an appointment for my husband to come here due to the fact his insurance recommended a different dentist and he was unsatisfied. He is now without insurance and will be coming to this office for his cleanings in the future.

This was my third dentist office that I tried within a year. I found this office far exceeded my expectations. The other two offices tried to tell me I needed an exorbitant amount of work costing thousands, which I knew was not true. Dr. Anthony was personable, patient and thorough. Needless to say, I was NOT told that I needed excessive dental work. I am very happy with my experience and highly recommend Dr. Anthony to anyone who is looking for a competent and honest dentist.
