Our phones are always answered by real people. If an emergency occurs when the office is closed, you can always reach the doctor by calling the office emergency line, and the doctor will be paged and call you back as soon as possible.
We will tell you the amount of time your dental procedure will take upfront. Our goal is to see you on time and complete your dental procedure as efficiently as possible. We care enough to know that patients do not like to be referred out to other offices, and generally are able to complete all types of dental procedures in our office because of Dr. Walboms advanced training.
Michael D. Walbom, DDS Dr. Walbom attended BYU for his undergraduate studies before completing dental school at the University of Southern California, one of the most respected dental schools. He graduated with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery and has practiced general dentistry in Tucson for over 25 years. Dr. Walbom is always seeking to learn the lastest dental advances and technology. He has completed over 1500 hours of continuing education courses in all aspects of dentistry, including CEREC crowns, non-metal fillings, implant dentistry and bone grafting, cosmetic dentistry, laser gum treatment, digital dentures, orthodontics and Invisalign, occlusal adjustment, oral surgery, and endodontics.
Dr. Walbom has been married for over 40 years: has three grown sons and five grandchildren. He is very proud of his sons, James, Chris, and Michael. Many years ago, in order to keep his three young boys busy and teach them hard work, responsibility and commitment, he bought horses for them. The boys quickly learned how much work it took to care for horses. They eventually competed in performance horse events and won several national titles. From that time on horses have always played an important role in the family. Dr. Walboms interest in horses and love for the west is obvious in the dental office dcor. You will enjoy the western look the office reflects.
Outside of the dental office, Dr.Walbom spends most of his free time with his family having fun Grandparent Adventures. He has five grandchildren: Sofia, Julia, Mike, Isabella, and Bryce. He has also tried his hand at golf, but really enjoys fishing. This summer there were new additions to the family. The grandchildren got two new puppies and three ponies.
Every patient is given a written estimate showing what dental treatment is needed and all the costs involved prior to starting any dental treatment.Available options are carefully explained to help the patient select the best option for their situation.
Pam has been with our team at A Caring Place Dentistry for 15 years. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree at BYU and completed her MBA at the University of Phoenix. She has also completed many training seminars on dental practice management and dental technology. For Pam, the best part of our practice is our constant focus on giving our patients the best experience possible. Dr. Walbom always gives patients an honest evaluation of their dental needs and keeps their best interests in mind. His many years of experience in all aspects of dentistry allow him to diagnose and treat even the most complicated cases. He was trained at the number-one dental school at the country, USC, where the motto was do over until you get it perfect. This motto exemplifies the way he practices dentistry.
Pam has three grown children and five grandchildren who are the joy of her life. She loves decorating and doing crafts, and she can often be found decorating the office for holidays to make it a fun place for both our team and our patients. She is also working on compiling digital photo albums for her children.
Stefanie is our dental hygienist and has many years of experience, as she has been a practicing hygienist since 1997. She is very passionate about her work and always does her very best for each patient.
She is originally from Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and has been living in Tucson for seven years. She enjoys running, hiking, golfing, and many other outdoor activities, as well as being an avid reader. When she is not in the office, she leads a full and busy life with her two beautiful daughters. She is committed to your health and happiness.

I recently had to have a filling. Dr. Walbom used a laser to complete the job. No needles, No Pain. Seriously, None! I highly recommend Dr Walbom and his friendly staff.

Appointment scheduling was easy, and they provide lots of appointment reminders. I did not have to wait and was seen at my scheduled appointment time (thank you). Relaxed and cozy environment, great music, and wonderfully friendly staff who were gentle with my mouth & teeth. Their rates are priced very reasonably. I will be back :)

I have been a patient of Dr. Walbom's at A Caring Place Dentistry for over a decade. He's a great dentist! I particularly like his willingness to incorporate new technologies into his dental work. For example, when I get fillings now, I don't get novocaine. Rather, he uses a laser to create an anesthetic effect. The beauty of this is that after the filling is complete, I'm not numb for hours. It's awesome. I also like his focus on preventative care. On a final note, I really love the other people who work in his office. They're friendly and professional, and I always look forward to seeing them.

They have the best hygienists of any dentist I've ever been to, and the scheduler is nice and accommodating. They have very reasonable prices (if you're a cash-payer) and they don't try to push you into services that you don't want. I trust Doc Walbom knows his stuff. I highly recommend this dentist for anyone in Tucson area who needs one.

I've been going to this dentistry for almost 10 years. I hated going to the dentist and avoided it for far too long. Dr Walbom and every single member of his staff put me at ease and made me feel extremely comfortable... like family. Recently Dr Walbom recognized that I may have issues with sleep apnea, which was confirmed. Not wanting to go the CPAP route, Dr Walbom was able to fit me with a TAP3 airway management dental device. It works!! My fiance and I are amazed. My out-of-control snoring no longer exists! Now he wakes up to make sure I'm still breathing. I would highly recommend Dr Walbom and especially the TAP3 device to anyone experiencing Issues with sleep apnea. The device is also much more affordable than a CPAP.

Needed to get first significant work done and found a Groupon deal for cleaning and exam. Liked the reviews I read before buying it, and had that validated upon arrival. Everyone super friendly (it IS Tucson, after all). Doc took ample time to explain his choice of priorities for my dental work, allowed me to schedule quickly and was flexible with my payment preferences. Definitely recommend!

I have been going to this office for over 10 years. Dr. Walbaum and everyone on his staff is extremely helpful - especially Christine (front office and dental assistant) is always extremely helpful, and makes it easy to setup appointments, and work with. I don't know about the cowboy music :) - but Dr. Walbaum's staff is awesome!
