Dr. Salon was born and raised in the Traverse City area. After graduating from Traverse City High School in 1984 he attended The University of Michigan for his undergraduate degree which he achieved in 1988. The journey to his doctorate took an interesting turn when he decided to attend Ohio State University. Upon graduating from OSU with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1992 he opened his own practice, Grand Traverse Dental Care in January of 1993.

They were extremely patient with my little boys on our first dentist visit. This clinic is one of the few in our area that accepts our insurance too. I'm extremely thankful I found them. Great location too!

I went in with an abcess wisdom tooth on the 2nd of January and he took great gentle care of my teeth, cleaned around the painful part, and made an appointment for me with GTOS to get it pulled the next day. Excellent dentist.

Staff is rude and unprofessional. Left this office after one visit because one of my fillings completely fell apart within 5 months. My new office tried to get them to send over copies over my X-ray's so I wouldn't be charged to do more and they took so long in responding that we eventually just had to reschedule the appointment. Receptionist was not friendly when I called to follow up.

Amazing dentist and office staff!!! I broke a tooth on the last weekend of vacation and they came into the office on Sunday morning at 8am and fixed my tooth rather than making me wait till Monday afternoon!!!! Couldn't be more grateful for finding such an amazing dental office.
