Anthony C. Villarreal D.D.S., originally hails from Brownsville, Texas where he attended Hanna High School for three years. His senior year, the family moved to Weslaco, TX and he graduated from WHS as a standout athlete and scholar. He attended Texas A&M University and graduated with a degree in the very challenging Bio Medical Sciences (BIMS) program. Dr. Villarreal was blessed to be accepted in to every Dental school he applied to but chose Texas A&M College of Dentistry in Dallas, (formally Baylor college of dentistry) earning his DDS with honors in 2015. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and a member of Spear Education. Dr. Villarreal has been practicing general/family dentistry including restorative, implant and cosmetic dentistry since 2015.
It has always been Dr. Villarreals goal to give back to the Rio Grande Valley, getting his start in Weslaco and now currently in Edinburg. He is fulfilling his life long dream of providing affordable, comprehensive, and ethical dental care to his community.
Anacristina Chapa D.D.S. was born and raised in Laredo, Texas. She graduated from the Honors Program at Texas A&M International University in her hometown with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. During her time as an undergraduate student, she worked as a dental assistant which gave her the opportunity to catch her first glimpse into the life of a dental professional. Inspired by providing care for her community, she decided to pursue a career in dentistry. Dr. Chapa attended The University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with a certificate in Clinical Humanities. She is a member of the Hispanic Dental Association and the Houston Equality Dental Network. Growing up in the unique culture that a border town provides, it has always been Dr. Chapas goal to give back to the special communities that can be found in border cities along South Texas.
Dr. Chapa has a deep love for art, science, and medicine, and is very grateful to be able to combine all 3 in a unique way to help others. When she is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her twin sister and their 3 cats! In addition to being a dentist, she is also an artist, a poet, and a Netflix binge-watcher. She looks forward to meeting and working with you soon, y tambin habla espaol!
Roman Lugo, Jr. was born and raised in South Florida and is a Registered Dental Hygienist at A.C. Villarreal Family Dental. He began as an assistant in 2011-2017 and was admitted in 2017 into the Dental Hygiene program at Texas State Technical College in Harlingen, and graduated in 2019. He has been a hygienist for 2 years now and he absolutely loves his career as a Hygienist. On his free time he loves to workout, play video games and sports, and spend time with his friends and family.

Finally a Professional Denist who will talk straight to you and prepare a plan to help better your oral health which involves you in this decision. Usually I don't take the time to complete these sort of reviews because I'm a firm believer that for something like medical/dental visits, no two patients are alike. However, I've visited this office for multiple procedures a total of 4 times every time I'm impressed with both the staff and doctor himself. They all, especially Dr. Villarreal, takes the time to visually explain what's going on. I've never once felt rushed or pressured. Another thing - you're promptly seen at your scheduled time. There seems to be no backlog of patients waiting resulting in hours and hours of wait. I appreciate little things like this. Highly recommend this practice.

My dentist visit was great. And as soon as I start my dental work and look at my results then I will be a happy camper lol. Dr. A.C. Villarreal and the staff have great personalities it's a very clean and comfortable office . I will keep everyone posted on my dental work .

Dr V and staff are amazing and they explain everything thing in detail to help you decide what's best for you! They also lend an ear to hear your concerns! Ever since I have been a Patient of Dr V; I never feel nervous about an appointment and believe me, I've been seeing Dentist from a very young age! Overall, I highly recommend Dr V! Smile on!!! Fast and friendly... they in fact follow the appointments and greet you as soon as you walk in... they also send you a link to let them know you have arrived for your appointment... they also text you reminders of your appointment... they are AWESOME... 5+ stars

Great staff. Had cleaning done with George he was so patience and respectful. Was expecting to be seen by Dr. V ended up seeing one of his other dentist. Still was very satisfied how she treated me and welled informed me of my dental needs. The only negative I have is the cost of my dental work but oh well has to be done. Would recommen A.C. Villarreal dental to my family and friends.
