By utilizing state of the art technology and personalized service we will make you more comfortable and minimize any pain.Our office offers a variety of services like cosmetic, preventative, restorative, reconstructive and other family dentistry treatment. Our office team focuses on creating a great outcome for you. While you are in the waiting area or during your procedure you can listen to music or watch your favorite TV shows.

Everyone of our patients are important to us and we are committed to providing them the best service possible. To help accomplish that, we can be found in two locations. We have offices in Ankeny and Urbandale, Iowa.

Great dentist been coming here for years, switched from another dentist and decided to stay. You have to be patient, they have a lot of clients and it's just growing pains they are currently experiencing. Imagine if you were the dentist and had all these people to take care of, your staff, patients, your own life.

They RUINED my daughters teeth! They don't know how to do fillings! And staff is rude! Please please take your kids and yourself somewhere else!! I would give them neg stars if possible. We have paid thousands of dollars to fix the fillings done by them.

Horrible cleaning teeth here. Blood all over my mouth while and after the cleaning. Bad crown ever. Dentist is not nice, can't say bad enough about this place here. Never come back again!

This place is beyond ridiculous. Our first appointment was schedule June 3 at 8:30. The office called me June 1 and tried to reschedule as they had a scheduling conflict. I said no. We've had this appointment scheduled 3 months out because they were booked. We attend his appointment on the 3rd, waited over an hour to be seen. When placed in the room to do molds, we were given no napkin to place on chest of any sort. Molds were messy, dropping goo on shirt... no water offered to rinse out mouth, no napkins given to clean up self. Got through that appointment. Scheduled follow up for June 27th. 4 weeks out to be called and told we need to reschedule as our case is not back yet. We work for a living, we can not just take time off whenever. This office offered us nothing but excuses. We have now cancelled all services and will go elsewhere. This place is horrible. I do not recommend A1 Dental to anyone.

Place is garbage. Dentist is garbage. Whole place is garbage. Find somewhere else. I recommend reporting any inappropriate behavior to the Iowa dental board. BTW don't actually think anyone cares that responds to these reviews. They don't reply to your email. Lol. What a joke of a company.

Worst dentist ever!!!! I had recently undergone a knee replacement on both knees & my orthopedic doctor stated I would need a pre-med before any dental work is done. I repeatedly told A1 that and they refused 2 give me an antibiotic so I had 2 go 2 my ortho doctor for it. Well my ortho doctor recently retired & said I would have 2 ask A1 for the pre-meds. Well, I told them again the last time I went 2 them over the phone & tried 2 tell them I needed it. Well they stated that what they were doing wasn't invasive enough for a pre-med (seriously need 2 learn what that term means because if ur sticking someone with needles it's invasive). When I found out that they were going 2 b doing a deep clean, which they neglected 2 tell me over the phone, I again ask about an antibiotic & again they stated it wasn't invasive enough to need 1. Well a few days after the procedure I started 2 have pain in my teeth & woke up to my teeth throbbing in my mouth, I went 2 urgent care because A1 was taking their sweet time 2 call me back for an antibiotic & something 4 the pain. Later that day my infection got so bad that I had a fever & was throwing up! I couldn't stop throwing up till I sent my husband out 2 get an antienemic. I will never go back 2 A1 ever again because of the hell they put me through. My biggest pet peeve is doctors & dentists who think they know better then their patients & refuse 2 listen 2 them. I now found an amazing dentist that actually listened 2 me and my concerns & I urge that if u go here, u should do the same!

Worst dentist office ever The doctor was supposed to be in at 7 o'clock in the morning but since it was running so hard she called and said I'll get there when I get there and she had a whole waiting room for the people I waited for 3 hours.... If I could give it 0 stars I would

They gave my son a Koolaid Jammer juice pouch AFTER they cleaned his teeth because he didnt like the taste of the paste... Then it took me 2 months to get an appointment for myself. Called me 3 days before to change the time.on the day of call me 10 minutes before I needed to be there to cancel ( I live 1 hour away). Awful patient service.

Save your time and steer clear of this place. I went in and got 7 fillings a week ago. I still had severe sensitivity and feel a crack in one of my teeth from after they filled my teeth. I went in as an emergency appointment today because of these issues. First, she said there is not a crack in my tooth (I can literally feel it with my tongue and even my tongue gliding over what feels like a crack sends SEVERE shock and ache through my tooth.) The lady filed some of my fillings down and stated they were too high and that was the issue. They filed so much off my right side, that still AFTER her trying to fix it MULTIPLE times, the left side of my teeth touch while the right side does not when I close my mouth. I told her it was uneven and the last time she started filing she said we were going to shave too far into the filling or something along those lines and was giving attitude because I kept mentioning it did not feel right. After that she asked if it was better but I refused to waste my time any longer and just gave up, I will never return here and have already called another dentist to FIX their awful mistakes. The sly attitude the dentist lady gave every-time I said it felt uneven along with the "if we shave any further we'll shave too far into your filling" comment made me realize I am fully wasting my time here and need to find someone that KNOWS what their doing in their line of work. Not to mention, there is one dentist every time I go and she rushes through everyone and goes to the next person in the middle of helping you. I would give them zero stars if that was an option. My mouth is a disaster from this place.

I had transferred to them from a different dentist i also asked their receptionist before having my root cannel done on my back tooth after they got the xray if I should proceed with it to check with the dentist and they said yes as when I was up there they had not gotten my xrays from the dentist now every time I call for an appointment for a cap set up they send me to the call center never call back always the same thing oh wd have to send to your insurance for a referral and need get to our office for a find out they say they email them but I never here back. I like this dentist so im willing to keep going but the receptionist and front desk need to answer the phone do the job and call back I also received a bill for someone else's dental information to my insurance when I haven't even been seem in over 2 months yeah that is called fraud so maybe be careful on who your billing to. Ithis bebetter be getting taken care of and looked into I know it will be on my end.

Very disappointed in this office. They have now rescheduled my brother 3 times for a teeth cleaning. It takes forever for somebody to answer the phone and even longer for them to schedule the appointment. We were told the doctor would be sick so that is why they needed to reschedule. The appointment is next week.

Rude receptionist. Dentist was great, but receptionist seems very put out by every interaction and won't acknowledge you unless he is forced. And a bit slow due to working on more than 1 patient at a time.

Service is usually great. But I have been having severe tooth pain for over a week now. And my "Emergancy dental visit " was set for Nov 30th a month away!! Horrible. They have made no point to try and squeeze me in or get an earlier appointment of provide me any type of relief, or referral elsewhere. With a history of a a damaged tooth in the spot of pain and the amount of pain you would think someone would be able to squeeze me or help. I cant even speak with the actual dentist office. I keep getting the call center. Ridiculous. Update. Unsure if something opened up or it was my review. But, I was scheduled same say I posted this. They contacted me. It was smooth sailing from there. I also was unaware I was speaking with a a third party call center. Everything always seems to go much better when I work with the dental office directly. They are very kind and do amazing work. Unfortunately The call center is the polar opposite.

The people that answer when you call here are extremely rude. The dental assistants are very very nice but the dentist is not. They did not bill my secondary insurance and will give me no information or explanation. The dentist ripped my crown out while cleaning my teeth then they billed me for a new one.

Do NOT, do NOT, do NOT go to this place, it's been 3 months ongoing process with these people and front of desk is not only incompetant but flat out LIE to you about dates, times, currently i was told two weeks after my root canal, it's been 5 weeks and they can't even give me a status on when my permanent will come in, Horrible and should be shut down

This office called and texted me multiple times in regards to appointments that werent even for me, they were for 3 other people. Then i was charged for services i never received, told i would have a treatment plan setup but instead only set up a 6 month cleaning. When you call the local number it goes to a call center so they can't really help you. When i called the 1800 number they said i will have them return your call asap. its been over a month and i have had to call them back multiple times. I'm going to give them one more chance then find a new dentist because this customer service is atrocious.

The customer service at A1 iowa is 4 out of 10. While I got my teeth filled, the Dentist was working on me and another patient which took about two hours. The fill in procedure was very painful. I would not recommend bringing your kids here or going yourself. My teeth feel uneven from the fill in. I wish the facility the best of luck but they need to tighten up.
