Dr. Rishi Kothari attended the State University of New York at Buffalo, School of Dental Medicine, where he received his doctorate in dental surgery. He then completed his residency at the Jacksonville University School of Orthodontics. Now, hes fulfilled his dream of starting his own practice in his home state where he can offer personalized, advanced care to his patients.
Dr. Reshma Kumar received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Case Western Reserve University. She completed her general practice residency at Monmouth University and specialized in pediatric dentistry at Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx. At 914 Smiles, Dr. Kumar strives to make visits positive and fun and help patients build a foundation for lifelong oral health.
Dr. Rishi Kothari grew up in Western New York and is proud to be back serving the community he has always called home. With his mother being an orthodontist for more than 30 years, Dr. Kothari developed an appreciation and passion for orthodontics at a very young age. After the transformation of his own smile, along with those of his close friends and family, Dr. Kothari decided to pursue a career in orthodontics.
After graduating top 10 in his class from Allegany-Limestone High School, Dr. Kothari attended New York University, where he majored in psychology and minored in music and chemistry. It was there that he helped conduct a teeth whitening study at the NYU College of Dentistry and truly gained an appreciation for smile esthetics.
Following his graduation from NYU, Dr. Kothari received his doctorate in dental surgery from The State University of New York at Buffalo, School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Kothari scored well enough to earn a highly competitive residency position at the Jacksonville University School of Orthodontics, fulfilling his career dream of becoming an orthodontist and opening a practice in his home state of NY.
Dr. Kothari is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontics, American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association, and the Ninth District Dental Society. On days he is not in the office, Dr. Kothari can be found at The NYU Langone Medical Center, where he enjoys teaching residents and working with underserved children. He also loves spending quality time with his family and friends, traveling, and trying new foods and restaurants. Dr. Kothari is an avid soccer fan and you can often find him kicking the ball around in the park. However, his biggest passion is music, which he both loves to listen to and play.
At 914 Smiles, Dr. Kothari aims to provide high quality orthodontic care, utilizing the most up-to-date in cutting-edge technology. He has experience speaking English, Spanish, and Gujarati, which allows him to cater to patients from diverse cultural backgrounds. Dr. Kotharis top priority is to give patients the smile theyve always wanted, but his goals are about much more than that. He is set on making each office visit a positive experience and building relationships with his patients and their loved ones. Dr. Kothari provides beautiful and healthy smiles to the residents of Sleepy Hollow, Tarrytown, Briarcliff, Ossining, Ardsley, Pleasantville, Irvington, Dobbs Ferry, and Hawthorne, NY.

Don't bother with this practice. We loved them at first, but now that they are successful, they no longer have time for us. Who can wait 4 months for an appointment?

The staff at 914 Smiles are very kind, accommodating, patient and friendly. For the last 3 years, they have made my son Bryan and our visits comfortable and worry-free. I look forward to many more years with the office :)

This office was simply amazing. My son is 3 and on the spectrum and after having my son dreading dentist appointments because of his previous dentist office, we decided to try 914Smiles and I was so pleased. My son allowed the doctor to not only examine his teeth but also brush his teeth with the electric toothbrush!! Let me tell you how huge this is - my son hates anything vibration wise and he was so calm cool and collected. I definitely recommend!! They were very sweet and thoughtful as my son and daughter were having fun with all the equipment haha. If you're thinking about having your child go - just do it!

My special needs son is typically petrified of the dentist but this was a whole new experience for us ! Everything was amazing the dentist was the sweetest most compassionate person her assistant was friendly and helpful! She worked with my son and made him comfortable with every step. She explained everything to me and my son, she was very upfront about costs and treatment! My son will no longer dread his dentist appointments Thank you so much 914 smiles !!!!

The doctors and staff were nice the first time then I call to let them know I'll be late 5 mins they told me np and I called once again when I was 2 blocks away and they said they can't see me and they canceled my son appointment I walked in demanding all my sons paperwork and never went back and highly disappointed with that type of attitude and there was no one else waiting in the office I would understand if there was a office full of appointments and people but not even one person no more of my service

The staff are absolutely amazing! They made us feel comfortable the moment we walked in the door. My son, age 9, was happy and not at all scared! The office itself is very clean and beautiful. I highly recommend 914Smiles!

Dr. Kothari has been treating my daughter for almost a year . He is very knowledgeable and attends to every detail including helping my daughter understand different types of braces , timeline and benefit of doing routing care. I would highly recommend Dr. Kothari.

The staff are amazing! This is our first time and everyone was very friendly and accommodating. My son was a little nervous and they made him feel very comfortable. Such a great place and Dr. Kothari is amazing. He explains everything thoroughly and takes great care of his patients. I would highly recommend.
