Dr. Tana Busch is recognized as an accomplished and passionate health care provider in the dental community. She has been serving her patients for over 33 years in the Austin and Central Texas surrounding area. Some of her patients come to see her from out of the state and even out of the country. Having made industry transforming contributions to her profession and most profoundly to the quality of life of her patients, she is recognized as a pioneer in her field. Dr. Busch understands that the mouth is the portal to the rest of the body and that a healthy mouth plays a key role in the quality of a persons overall heath.

Dr. Busch, better known as Tana to her patients and team, earned her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M Universitys biomedical science program in 1980. She excelled in dental school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston graduating with honors in 1987.

Dr. Busch continued her specialty level education at numerous dental programs, which included advanced studies at the Misch International Implant Institute Surgical Program, the Pikos Institute for Implant Dentistry and the Ickert Implant Center. She is also a Mentor, Graduate and Past Advisory Board Member at the prestigious Kois Center for Advanced Comprehensive Restorative Dentistryhttps://www.koiscenter.com/kois-center-a-new-standard/. She also completed the Bale-Doneen Heart Attack and Stroke Prevention Preceptorship which focuses on the role of oral and systemic inflammation in reducing the preventing heart attacks and strokes.

She and her dentist business partner, Dr. Kevin Deutsch, have developed a full service dental practice which carries on a long tradition of excellence that began 45 years ago. She continues this tradition today through strong mentorship of her team, partners and other dentists in her community. She leverages her office as a place of learning and growth for her team, her associates and many young aspiring healthcare professionals that she welcomes for their educational externships.

Dr. Kevin Deutsch feels blessed to continue the tradition of outstanding, caring providers at 8118. This is not a responsibility he takes lightly, and is committed to personal and professional growth to continually improve the patient experience, and provide the highest quality of comprehensive treatment all under one roof.

Dr. Deutsch grew up in Colorado, and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He then attended the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, where he graduated with high honors in 2007. While in school, Dr. Deutsch served as president of Pacifics honor society, and as a representative to the American Dental Education Association.

After dental school, Dr. Deutsch served as a general dentist in the U.S. Navy where he was given the opportunity to work with specialists in a variety of fields. As part of his service, he spent two years on the aircraft carrier, USS Nimitz. Dr. Deutsch continued practice in San Antonio prior to joining8118Dental Professionals.

He has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education in esthetic dentistry and understanding of occlusion (bite) and TMJ issues, namely through the Kois Center https://www.koiscenter.com/in Seattle. This allows us to create smiles that are not onlybeautiful, but functional and long-lasting.

Dr Deutsch has a passion for implant dentistry, and providing for all of our patients needs in an environment in which they are comfortable and trust. He is a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and continues to stay up to date on the most current modalities. His training has included a clinical residency program at the Malo Clinic http://maloclinics.com/en/education-1in Lisbon, Portugal, where the All-On-Four treatment concept was developed.

Dr. Elward graduated Cum Laude from Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia. Prior to that, she received two Bachelor of Science degrees from Michigan State University, in Physiology and Nutritional Sciences. After Temple, she completed a general practice residency at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn.

Dr. Elward has a strong focus on continuing education and learning the latest technology and best techniques. She has taken courses at the world renowned Pankey Institute as well as aesthetic courses through the respected Spear Education center. Through these courses she has learned advanced treatment planning, treatment of difficult TMJ cases and achieving aesthetic perfection through restorative dentistry.
