608 Family Dental is a Sun Prairie based family dentist practice that treats patients of all ages. Dr. Tom Pausma was born and raised in Fond du Lac, WI before going to college at UW-Milwaukee. After graduating, Tom moved to Boston to attend Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Tom believes strongly in being a lifetime learner, his passion for dentistry has only intensified after schooling. Dr. Tom spends on average over 100 hours per year in continuing education courses. He has focused his post grad learning on placing and restoring dental implants and treating obstructive sleep apnea with oral appliance therapy. Dr. Tom is pursuing Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry, and Diplomate Status with the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine.

Like any true Wisconsinite, Tom knew he wanted to call Wisconsin home upon finishing Dental school. While living in Boston, Tom met his future wife, Gina, and after a few years of dating they moved to Madison in the summer of 2016. They immediately expanded their family with the addition of their beloved Bernie, a French Bulldog, who has become 608 Family Dental's mascot. Tom and Gina take advantage of the park system throughout Dane County and Wisconsin. Hiking, biking, and snowshoeing are among their favorite outdoor activities. Gina's Italian family has sparked a love for cooking, Tom has been drawn recently to smoking meats for hours and hours on his pellet grill. Tom and Gina were married in the Summer of 2019 when they eloped to the Faroe Islands, a remote island in the North Atlantic ocean. In January of 2022, the Pausmas welcomed a baby girl into the world. They look forward to the adventure that is parenthood.

Dr. Tom met Dr. RJ Carpenter near the end of 2019. After a while they knew that their wishes were aligned and proceeded to transition ownership of the practice. Dr. Tom and Dr. RJ worked alongside each other for over a year as Tom got to know RJ's patients. Dr. Carpenter remains a valued mentor to Dr. Pausma even after his retirement in January of 2022.

Kylie is from Fort Atkinson where she enjoys time with family and friends. Sometimes that includes going hunting, fishing, or camping. Kylie 's 'fur giant', Gretchen the Great Dane, keeps her on her toes when she 's not in the office. Additionally, you can find Kylie enjoying a good cup of coffee, crafting, and thrifting.

Providing great dentistry is important to Kylie because she loves providing her patients with the highest level of care and compassion - everyone deserves that! Kylie is truly excited to provide her patients reasons to love their smiles!

Melissa grew up in Northern Utah and has lived in Wisconsin for the past 16 years with her husband, two kids, and grumpy cat. Melissa loves summertime, hiking, and going to the beach, as well as theatre, photography, and traveling to new places.

Melissa enjoys developing relationships with her patients and strives to put each person at ease during their dental visit. Its very satisfying to see the positive impact that regular dental cleanings have on a persons oral health. Melissa believes there is nothing more beautiful than a freshly cleaned mouth and bright smile!

Jenni was born and raised in Sun Prairie and considers it 'home' even though she spent many of her adult years in Milwaukee. Jenni and her husband chose to relocate back to Sun Prairie in 2018 to raise their family. They have 2 children and a dog that keeps life very busy, but full of love! Together, they enjoy being outdoors, whether it be on the lake, backyard grilling, or playing yard games. Jenni looks forward to getting to know new patients and continue serving the existing patients at 608 Family Dental!

Ellen was born and raised in Wisconsin. Like many other Wisconsinites, Ellen has tried living in other places but she just kept coming back! For Ellen, she loves calling Wisconsin home for the seasons, the people, the lakes, the landscape... all the same reasons you probably like it here too. When not treating patients, Ellen loves to travel to places near and far.

Ellen has been working within the dental space for over two decades! What keeps Ellen loves being able to build a positive rapport with her patients and helping transform their overall health. Ellen is a personable Hygienist who truly loves providing personal treatment plans based on the goals of her patients. She loves seeing her patients feel accomplished, confident, and elated with the end results.

Brianna grew up in Sun Prairie and loves spending time with her family doing anything outdoors. One thing Brianna loves the most about Wisconsin is the beautiful summers we have and spending time out on all the beautiful lakes! Oh and of course the amazing cheese curds!

Kim and her husband live on a farmette near Columbus They have a horse, two dogs and seven cats. Kim loves being in Wisconsin for the beautiful weather and watching the seasons change. Kim loves being a part of our patients' positive dental experiences. Watching patients go through a dental transformation is rewarding.

Although a California native, Susan has lived in Sun Prairie over the past 20 years with her family. Susan loves the beauty of Wisconsin's four distinct seasons and how genuinely friendly people are in this community. When not enjoying a walk or kayaking with her husband, Susan is also a very skilled photographer.

Growing up in the small town of Lodi, Anna has recently ventured her way to Sun Prairie. Dentistry is a passion of hers and she looks forward to continuing her journey as a Dental Hygienist. Growing up in Wisconsin has taught her to enjoy each season. In her free time, Anna enjoys hunting, snowmobiling, and boating!

Bernie is a 5 year old French Bulldog. He enjoys long walks over short distances, getting attention from humans, belly rubs, being a lap dog, and looking irresistible to get extra treats. Bernie is a founding member of the Madison Frenchies meetup group - a group of roughly 40+ French Bulldogs that get together monthly in the Madison area. He is in competition for attention with a new baby at home, so he will not mind if you ask to see him at the office.
