Dr Weiner is an experienced clinician who was trained in Philadelphia at Temple University School of Dentistry and received his prosthodontic training there. He also spent a year at Philadelphia General Hospital- the City of Philadelphia and received further dental training, particularly in the surgical phases of treatment.
Following that, he took a position at UMDMJ- now Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. He was a full-time faculty member and taught prosthodontics and reconstructive dentistry for more than 40 years. He has left the university as a Professor Emeritus. During his time there and his teaching, he also published more than 70 papers and is continuing to publish research papers currently. In addition to his university work, he has also lectured on dental implants in Turkey, Jordan, Syria, Serbia and participated in an implant training program in Dubai for 7 years.
Dr Weiner has always been a clinical person practicing his craft. For the 10 years before established the 50 Commerce Dental Center, he practiced dentistry in an office in Ironbound 2 nights a week and on weekends. But he felt that he would like to have a full-service practice here to help both the residents and the business population in Newark. In that way, a quality practice offering multiple clinical services was a dream that is now becoming a reality for him.
Dr White is a lifelong resident of Northern New Jersey. He received his BA in Sociology from Boston University before graduating from Howard University College Of Dentistry. Dr. White was a resident at the Bronx Lebanon Hospital before going into private practice with his father, where he served the Bronx community for over 20 years.
He enjoys all aspects of General Dentistry and has a particular interest in Cosmetic Dentistry, Oral Surgery, Endodontics, and restoring implants. He has provided dental care to nursing home residents and is active in various dental study groups and continuing education.
Dr Anakha Kalaspurkar is an experienced general dentist who has dental degrees from India and the United States. Her American degree is from New York University as Doctor of Dental Surgery which she received in 2013. Dr Kalaspurkar has over seven years of professional work experience practicing general dentistry in the US. She is competent in endodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, and restorative and esthetic dentistry. She enjoys treating both both children and adults. Dr Kalaspurkar fosters a cooperative work environment and is very proficient in her patient management. When she is not performing dentistry, she is usually enjoying a Frozen Dunkin Coffee, her one vice, and enjoys spending time with her family, her husband and two children who are 4 and 2 years old.
Rosario was born and raised in Ecuador. She graduated as a Doctor in Dentistry from Universidad de Guayaquil in Ecuador in 2000, where she worked as an intern for the Ministerio de Salud Publica del Ecuador. She also had advanced training and completing seminars on orthodontics and endodontics. In 2002 she emigrated to the United States and established in NJ, and took positions as Expanded Function Dental Assistant. Since 2003 she has continued to work in her profession and is proud to say that she has worked for high-quality dental practices all over NJ. She has extensive experience in Holistic dentistry, general dentistry, and pediatric dentistry. She has also attended seminars in patient communication from MGE Management Experts in Florida, which has helped her develop more goal-oriented and high standards in dentistry and a more effective support and guidance for the patients developing treatment plans.
Denise is a registered dental hygienist who graduated from Rutgers School of Health Related Professions and has many years of experience in Dentistry in Brazil. She believes prevention is a way to help patients to maintain good oral health. She likes to deliver personalized treatment with appropriate therapy, and she loves to see happy patients with nice smiles.
Our front desk person, Aida, comes to us with extensive experience and knowledge. She is friendly and very efficient in helping our patients with scheduling and insurance issues. She came to the U.S. in 1985 as a teenager, living in Rhode Island. Once she graduated, she took courses and received a certificate in computer technology. In 2000 Aida was offered a job working at the front desk in a dental office. She enjoyed working with the patients and recognized right away that this is what she wanted to continue to do. Aida worked in her previous two dental offices for 18 years and 4 years, respectively. She is real people person as we hope you will see. We are delighted to have her.
Maria is one of our two dental assistants. She has a dental degree from Centro Escolar University in the Philippines. Here in the US, she has certificates as an expanded duties dental assistant. Maria is a wet-fingered dental assistant. She loves her work and enjoys connecting with the patients. In the office, she assists with provisional crowns, cementations, and surgical and restorative procedures. She has previously worked in offices in California and Bayonne, NJ, for more than 15 years.
Roberta Weber is our Dental Practice Coordinator who collaborates with doctors and the staff to create teamwork, efficiency, and accountability, which results in a well training, happier staff that generates raving fans in our patients. She ispassionate about sharing her knowledge, insight, and years of hands-on experience. Her goal drives herto helpthe practice to provide superior dental care within a team-driven, supportive, and structured environment.
After over30 years of experience in all phases of clinical and dental practice management,Roberta truly knows what makes a practice successful, both for the doctor and the staff.Sheembodies both the knowledge and wisdom that comes fromexperience,but her empathy and communication skills in dealing heart to heart with the real people of each practice make her special.
Her backgroundincludes four years as a Regional Reseller for Dentrix Practice Management Software, as well as eight years astheOperations Manager for DDS Partners,a largeprivately owneddental group in Manhattanwhere her job included buying dental practices, Beforehand, for several years, Roberta managed Dr. Jonathan Levine & Associates practice, a very successful prosthodontic dental practice in New York City where she engaged in various practice consulting seminars.
Having obtained her degree in Dental Hygiene at New York University in 1995,Roberta has carried her passion for hygiene into her coaching by setting high standards for periodontal protocols and focusing onhelping dental practices improve their hygiene programs' value. She continues to maintain her licensed status and is a regular volunteer at health awareness events. Roberta also has a bachelors degree in Psychology and is fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.

Good morning, If you looking for a GREAT DENTIST and PROFESSIONAL CARE- GUESS WHAT? YOU FOUND IT!!! 50 Commerce Dental Centers in the City of Newark. Dr Weiner and his staff are the BEST! The appointments are scheduled by the awesome secretarial staff of Sandy, Aida and Christal, and believe me, I was seen within 10mins of coming in! They are all professional in making appointments, emailing appointment reminders-calls if any changes! Dr Weiner, Dr White and his assistants, Maria and Nuria are perfectionists, I have never meet a dentist & staff that are so caring. He doesn't rush-he takes his time. I was never comfortable going to the dentist, because of the discomfort and pain. I have always been afraid of needles, after the first session, I didn't have a problem with the needles. Dr Weiner is gentle and he talked to me during the entire process. I am 100% satisfied and I recommend Dr Weiner and his entire staff at the 50 Commerce Dental Center to anyone that is looking for a PROFESSIONAL, RESPECTABLE & CARING DENTIST-THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU!! Friendly staff that were knowledgeable enough to walk me through my situation in a way that I could understand. The people that worked with me also had no qualms admitting that there was a specialist more knowledgeable about one of my concerns and didn't hesitate to suggest a referral. Overall, honest, friendly, and knowledgeable staff. 10/10 Would recommend :)

When I returned from a trip, the crown on my front tooth cracked and eventually that crack dislodged when I was water flossing. I contacted many dentists in the Newark until I finally found 50 Commerce St dental practice. As soon as I contacted them, the receptionist immediately set up an appointment on the same day. In fact, she contacted me for an earlier appointment. My dentist was so kind and gentle. She was very helpful and informative. I also love that she is a perfectionist and takes pride in her work. She also ensured I was well informed about every procedure and cared for my comfort. Everyone at the office was extremely nice, warm and caring. I will definitely recommend 50 Commerce St dental to everyone at my airline.

It was truly one of my worst and painful and highly expensive experiences. Please make sure you do your research. I would never advise anyone to get implants, especially not at this facility. Nor would I recommend this facility. It's not worth it!!!! This dental facility is good at boasting about their credentials. They will even show you before and after photos of patients. Who knows if these are real patients or not. I was told one price but at the end of it all I ended having to pay over $17,000, and that's out of pocket! They are good at giving you medical education but TERRIBLE at giving you financial education. Please do your research. Don't let my mistake become yours! They pretend to be with the community but that is a lie. After revealing that I'm a photographer, I willing allowed some of my photos to be displayed to add life to their facility but even that wasn't appreciated. Too cheap to pay $250 for several large prints but wanted me to keep them on display. Crazy!!!!

Probably the best dental office I have ever been to!!! Aida and Sandy are the most Kind and jovial front desk persons ever. The office was very pretty and clean omg!! Also, The doctors I met were very pleasant! Dr wiener, Dr White and Dr. Anagha. Non forgetting the person who put the icing on the cake for my experience, RDH Regina. She was so gentle in my mouth, little to no pain at all...she was done and I didn't even know! Wow I'm very happy I went to the dental office!!!!! Five stars!!!!!!!

I RECOMMEND "50 COMMERCE DENTAL CENTER TO ANY AND EVERYONE. Aida, Sandy, Regina, Anagha, Nuria, Maria and Dr. Wiener are amazing. Thank you for being so kind and Welcoming I want to start by saying that I NEVER leave reviews but I had to make an exception this time. THE ENTIRE STAFF AT "50 Commerce Dental Center" IS AMAZING. I felt as if I was a VIP client from start to finish. They are friendly and professional. The office is clean and well kept. I have no complaints. They took their time to explain every detail of every procedure to me. Showed me images of what was being done and the tools they were using. I felt no pressure to do anything. I was completely numb with less needles than any dentist I've every been to (AND I HATE NEEDLES lol ). The staff was very informative and I was given a lot of tips on how to better care for my teeth and gums, but it wasn't the generic tips that you normally get. It was me being shown my teeth and my trouble areas and what I can improve on. We laughed we had great conversations and I will never go to another dental office. THANK YOU
