Dr. Ahmed Kamal has been practicing in our area since 2017 and graduated from the Mustansiriya University School of Dentistry in 2005, and then later graduated from the New York Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in 2016. He lived in Iraq, where he served his community for seven years at his dental practice, before moving to the United States. He is passionate about providing our patients with the best possible care by continuing his dental education three times a year.
Dr. Kamal had dental training in Iraq, where he was enrolled in a surgical residency for three years focused on treating different kinds of impacted teeth, extractions and implants. After moving to the states, he received advanced training in dental implants from the California Implant Institute and the Arizona Brighter Way Institute, where he trained for surgical and prosthetic implant treatments, including simple and complicated cases and full mouth rehabilitation with All-on-4 implants. He has also had training in North Carolina and Texas in IV moderate sedation for patients who feel anxious during dental treatments. His training has also brought him to New York, where he learned how to treat patients who have simple to moderate sleep apnea and where he attended two courses of cosmetic dentistry focused on treating difficult smile makeover cases, with beautiful results.
His goal as a dentist is to create an environment where patients feel treated like family and to help them become absolutely happy with the results of their treatment. Dr. Kamal wants to deliver a guarantee of satisfaction by offering unique care for the best results. He wants our patients to know that we will be responsible not only for the end result of the treatment, but for the for the long-term outcome. His priorities are to have a warm reception for our patients as soon as they come through the door, provide painless treatment and have our patients leave our clinic with wonderfully beautiful smiles.
Leo Rosenthal was born and raised in Washington, D.C. He received a degree in biology from Columbia Union College in Takoma Park, MD. and his dental degree from the University of Maryland in 1972. Leo has practiced general dentistry from graduation till the present time in Alexandria, VA.
Dr. Rosenthal is a member of the American Dental Association, the Northern Virginia Dental Society and a pre-fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry. He was a restorative dentistry instructor at the University of Maryland. He currently lectures on the latest resources available to general dentists, including dental materials, aesthetics and computer technology.
Jessica graduated from both high school and Dental Careers 1 & 2 in 1999. She completed her dental X-ray certification in 1998 and became a Licensed Massage Therapist through the Board of Nursing in 2013. She joined our team in May 2016, bringing with her more than 20 years of experience in the dental field. Jessica has worked as a dental assistant, a front desk associate and in office management. She is a team player and enjoys the genuinely caring environment of our office and the rapport she has developed with our dentists and team.
I started with the practice in January 2005. To me its more than just a dental practice, its like a second family with the close bonds that we have with each other and our patients both in/outside of the office.

Dr. Kamal is very knowledgable and makes sure that you understand all the process, he is also very caring. Jenny and Jessica are supper friendly and they both helped me to feel relaxed before my implant surgery! Highly recommend!

Today was my first time going to 3D Dental. I wanted to go to a dentist near my home. I read all the great reviews and can confirm 3D Dental was an excellent experience from the dentist, Dr. Kamal, to all the staff. I'll be making this my permanent dental office.

From the moment I walked into the office, I was greeted with a smile and put at ease. Not a fan of going to the dentist, however Dr. Kamal is gentle and explains each step of his decision making and process along the way!

The dentist there was awesome and the front desk lady/dental assistant was the kindest woman. What impressed me the most was when doing a routine cleaning the dentist there never hurt me one bit with an intrument yet I had the best cleaning . He was also extremely knowledgeable and didn't try to sell me some bs extra treatment like other dentists. I believe his name was dr lamp check them out.

I got my wisdom tooth removed here and it was very smooth and easy I was so much in pain I called many other offices for an appointment but everything was full it's the only place that did everything to squeeze me in and scheduled me The staff is amazing very funny and friendly I'll definitely come back and remove the remain ones

I can't say enough good things about this place. The Doc's are super nice and super professional. They've taken care of my smile for 2+ years now! I did an implant, couple crowns and do my yearly checkup here. Appointments are always adjustable and I believe they have the lowest prices in the DMV area. Totally love them for it; have improved my life for sure!

3D Dental Care and Dr Kamal were amazing. I was looking for an office for my Father because he was not insured and we needed quality care at affordable prices. That is exactly what we found at Dr Kamal's office. Dr Kamal took time to explain the treatment plan with my Father and I and walked us through not only immediate solutions but a long term plan. The office Manager, Jessica and Assistant, Jenny were so polite and professional. You can tell this office cares about their patients. I would highly recommend 3D Dental to anyone in the Northern VA area looking for a Dental Office.
