Dr. Burnett grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico spending most of his time outdoors or playing sports. As a child, he was fortunate enough to explore different areas of the southwest and the world while traveling for sports tournaments. He also spent countless hours in nature fishing, hunting, and hiking with his family.
After graduating from New Mexico State University, he moved to the Midwest for dental school. Dr. Burnett earned his DDS from the University of Missouri Kansas City. After graduation, he moved to Arizona where he practiced general dentistry and met his wife. They moved to Chicago where he continued to gain experience and expand his practice of dentistry. He and his wife moved to Colorado in order to be closer to the family because his wife gave birth to their first child in December.
In his free time, Dr. Burnett loves being outdoors and hunts, fishes, or hikes whenever possible. He is an avid sports fan and tries to see as many games as possible. He is also a food lover and enjoys trying new restaurants and cooking delicious new dishes.

My daughter called in to say that She was very sick - throwing up every 15 minutes requesting to re-schedule her appointment. She was told it was too short of notice by the very rude receptionist and they charged her $250 for a missed appointment. This dentist has strung her out over multiple appointments to make more money off her and now this? Don't go to this dentist there are a lot better and more professional options out there.

The dental tech and doctor were both nice and did a great job, which is the reason I didn't give 1 star. Front desk lady and billing process were ridiculous. They have a new patient $59 special for cleaning,exam, X-ray. Apparently my past dentist is apart of the same dental group, which I had no idea. Nowhere on their website does it mention a dental group, sister offices, that the offer is not valid if you've been to another office, or that it's only good for a "healthy mouth". However, it does state that the special is a "good way to give THEIR office a try." I was told they'd give me the $19 special for the exam and X-rays but since I had perio cleanings done at my last dentist, NOT here, I didn't qualify for the healthy mouth cleanings, again, even though a regular cleaning was done today not a period cleaning. I believe the total she tried to charge me was like $168. I told her we have a problem because none of that was on the website and I specifically checked the new patient special when I requested to book online and was never notified by the office that I didn't qualify. I told her this is false advertising and I was only going to pay $59. She laughed at me, like a snarky attitude laugh kind of like "psshh whatever". You're laughing at me because I won't let you scam me? If you can give me the $19 new patient special even though "I'm not a new patient" then why not the $59 one? Because another office did more extensive work in me that I paid for at the time? What does that have to do with what your office did on me today? I told her I'd go to the consumer financial protection agency and she finally agreed to let me pay the $59. She warned me that any "peak" office would not qualify as a new patient. Perhaps mention your apart of this group? Perhaps make all these rules clear? If there are no terms and conditions stated, no communication from the office when scheduling, you can't just surprise people with an extra $100+ when they already got the service done.

The dentist and the hygienist are great. My only problem is dealing with Melanie who answers the phone. I wish she would gather all the facts before reprimanding guests over the phone.

I have been going to 38th Modern Dental for a few years, I have had nothing but, awesome and consistent care, everyone is kind,, personable, respectful and thorough at there skill. I would recommend 38th.

I had a fantastic experience at 38th modern dental. It had been a year since my last cleaning because I had moved to Denver and Quinn, the hygienist, took amazing care of me. My original appointment was several more months out bc of availability but they put me on a wait list which only took a few days for a slot to open up. Parking is easy, check in was easy, and the appointment was quick.
