Dr. Livelys father is a carpenter, and if there was one thing that young Dr. Lively and his father loved to do together, it was building and designing things. Having a vision and creating a finished product always gave Dr. Lively great pleasure. Opting to draw 3D objects like houses, rather than people, he initially wondered if architecture would be his true calling. Then, at the age of 13, he was told that he would need to wear braces.
Going into 8th grade, Dr. Lively became far more attuned to what dentistry was and how it worked, especially through the lens of his own treatment. Around the same time, he continued to learn about construction. Not only did he learn about how buildings were constructed from his father, but how the electrical and plumbing components that were necessary worked as well. Being alongside him allowed him to develop a great work ethic, and today, hes still one of the hardest working people that Dr. Lively knows!
Theres not a day that goes by where Dr. Lively doesnt have a patient he prays for. Growing up going to church, he always wanted to know what his higher purpose was in life. He was dead set on finding these answers, no matter what. After embarking on a journey of trails both professionally and personally, he was able to find a clear vision and purpose, and that was making sure he had all the tools necessary to help people however he could.
As a dentist, Dr. Lively gains great pride in not just helping people rebuild their smile, but hearing their unique story and learning about their specific vision for a better and healthier smile themselves. More than anything, he wants to get to know them, learn what their perspectives are, and build a relationship with them. Thats exactly what you can expect when you visit him and his team!
Many people dont realize that Dr. Lively is also highly trained to help those in need of airway help and resolving issues that can negatively affect sleep. Under the guidance of many sleep experts in the field, including Dr. Kent Smith of Dallas and Dr. Erin Elliot of Idaho, Dr. Lively is able to help patients address a wide range of sleep issues by closely examining their current airway health. He loves how so many people within the field are willing to help other doctors like him succeed and provide solutions to patients in need.
Additionally, Dr. Lively has enjoyed flying ever since he received his pilot license 15 years ago. Whether hes navigating through tough weather or helping a patient with a complex case, hes never been afraid of a challenge!
Hes happily married to his loving wife Tuni, whom he met in high school. They raise their three daughters named Loclynn, Lynsi, and Landri and its still his greatest passion to spend time with his family as much as possible. You can also find him volunteering his expertise to groups like King ComeUNITY (an organization dedicated to local and regional community development) and federally-funded dental clinics not too far from Magnum.
Dr. Hand knew that she wanted to be a dentist since she was in sixth grade. She wanted to be an orthodontist because she saw how much it changed her confidence when she felt good about her smile. However, after completing her second year of dental school, she fell in love with general dentistry. She loved the ability to help patients in such a variety of ways. Not only did she enjoy the esthetic component, but also the ability to help relieve their pain. She was able to improve their confidence by changing their smiles, relieve their discomfort or sensitivity, and build relationships with them that could last so much longer.
However, if there is one person who convinced her to pursue dentistry professionally, it was her father. Growing up with his Christian influence, Dr. Hands father cared very deeply about making sure she was raised with the right morals and worked to serve others. He always taught her that she was given this ability to be a dentist and strongly encouraged her to serve the world in ways that most people do not have the opportunity to do.
Today, Dr. Hand is very excited to join Dr. Lively as she recognizes his commitment to practicing good morals and faith for his practice. While Dr. Hand is from the same area that 333 Dental Care is located in, she didnt think shed be returning home to start her dental career. Once she got the chance to meet with Dr. Lively and his practice, she had a complete change of heart. Not only does he have a go-getter attitude that she simply loves, but she gets to serve the very same people and area that both her and her husband are from. In fact, the practice is just 25 minutes away from the community she grew up in. Just when she thought the small-town part of her life was over, she came right back to her hometown and hasnt thought twice about it since beginning her dream job!
Additionally, Dr. Hand enjoys mentoring students who are interested in going to dental school and providing them the resources they need to get started in dentistry should they decide to pursue this path. Whether its by offering insight to the field or helping them complete their necessary applications, shes always ready to help. You can also find her volunteering with the Oklahoma Mission of Mercy, being involved with organized dentistry, and dental mission trips serving care to those in need.
If theres one thing she never gets tired of, its hanging out with friends and family, including her son Lincoln and her husband Cale. They also have two dogs, including a blue heeler Australian shepherd mix named Shadow and a Boykin Spaniel named Gunner. In their free time, they enjoy spending time at the lake, where Dr. Hands husband enjoys fishing. They also love having family cornhole tournaments and watching football as they are a huge sports family!
