After my work was "completed" I could not chew on food and could only eat soup, because someone else's crown was bouncing around in my mouth. All of the dentists that I went to after 24/7 Emergency Dentist we're horrified to see the work that was done in my mouth by Ambrose Martin the 3rd. Dr. Ambrose Martin III made me sick as dog for 3 days and if I could give Gentilly Family Dental 0 stars I would. I hope that a high dollar lawyer will one-day organize Ambrose's victims in a class action lawsuit against him and have justice, and that all dentists like him who spread illness to make money can be shut down. Dr. Ambrose charged me over $1000 to put someone else's tooth in my mouth. When I asked for my crown to be sent to my regular dentist or for a full refund, Gentily Family Dental refused to do either. Dr. Martin III drives a Mercedes SUV, however, the equipment in his practice was broken and I had to swallow my own blood and bits of teeth, or else spit them out in the parking lot after the procedure was finished. When the good doctor was done with working on me, he instructed his assistant to make the room ready at which time she wiped the tools which had been in my mouth with a bleach wipe to go into the next customer's mouth. This is not considered proper aseptic technique. When I contacted the health department on Ambrose making me sick and doing this, they said that it was outside their jurisdiction. I hope that something will change soon before Dr. Ambrose Martin the Third is able to spread the latest virus around and steal more money from New Oreleanians refusing to complete the work he sells. I would recommend going to Dr. Ambrose Martin the Third to all of my enemies.

I have no idea how these people got my number but I'm currently dealing with a tooth infection and the lady called me and started basically implying that they wouldn't do a root canal without the money upfront but that they would give me pain pills if I just paid them $105. I'm an ex addict and that was kinda triggering tbh. I feel like the lady on the phone was praying on me while I'm feeling vulnerable and in extreme pain, not to mention the fact that I never called them and I'm still not sure how they got my info. That was super creepy and sent off a ton of red flags to me.

We were in need of a dentist and after a Google search of an emergency dentist- Gentilly came up. We brought in a friend with a chipped tooth and while we were thankful for the front office staff, we waited another hour and started to become a little uneasy. Our friend started to feel uncomfortable and noticed things were not clean. I walked back to try to ease her nervousness and asked the dentist why she couldn't have the compound versus a temporary crown and he said it wouldn't work. He immediately got defensive as if I was insulting his know how of dentistry versus just trying ease the nerves of my friend. He was so rude and absolutely refused to offer the alternative fix. Both of which he claimed to be temporary. Overall, we left. Went with our gut and left. They were kind enough to reimburse what we prepaid- and we headed off to Louisiana Dental Center on Magazine St. who we will be leaving a 5 star review to.

They advertise that they are a 24/7 Emergency Dentist. We called Saturday night for an emergency before leaving the country Sunday morning. They finally called Monday at 11am asking if I could come in "today". They made excuses as to why it took that long to call. Yes, I still need a dentist. I'm still in severe pain. I will be forced to pay another dentist, cash, in a foreign country, who won't provide anesthesia for tourists (safety reasons), so I'm pretty annoyed at this so-called "24/7 Emergency Dentist".

I wish it had a zero button to push for reviews. The physician is very rude, arrogant, very nasty attitude, he and his staff slaves the interns and talk to them like their nothing and he definitely doesn't interact nor does he have any empathy for the person that's going through pain. I would never in this life time refer any human being to this place.

I went to this dentist a while back to get a crown reattached. it was at 445 and it was an emergency and there was nowhere else I could go. I went to this dentist, they saw me within a half an hour and reattached it. from then on I have been going to this dentist for all my dental needs. the staff is friendly, the service is excellent and I recommend anyone looking for a dentist in the area use this dentist.

I've never been to a place where the doctor was beefing with the workers. Dentist numbed my mouth before even telling me what was going on. Wasn't allowed to bring anybody back to the rooms with me. Maybe try running thru the treatment plan before doing anything. Didn't give me a heads up before shoving the needle into my gums. A nice 1 2 3 count would of been great.and doctor got upset when I said I didn't want to go with his plan cause I'm an out of towner. Overall had the worse experience ever in my 26 years of life. Please do better and treat your patients better.

Great service and compassionate staff, especially the intern! I basically needed an emergency root canal and was in a lot of pain. Dr. Martin really helped me out! It was painless and he was quick with the operation.

ALERT!!! Scam artist! Would be patients beware!!! Visiting from out of town, and cracked a tooth. Ended up going to this would be dental practice, was charged up front before anything was said or done 125.00. They took a panoramic xray which they didn't even know how to do. They had to redo it several times? This wanna be dentist dr martin told me I needed root canals , fillings, etc, etc, etc. Then said he would give me prices for all the work I supposedly needed. Also yelled at his assistant to get me some mouth rinse. 125.00 dollars well spent!!! You would get better treatment at the dr howard , dr fine m, dr howard clinic. Zero stars here.

I honestly could've received better dental care from a string attached to a door knob. The doctor was rude to me and combative and tried to rush me into signing on to an expensive, and unwarranted, procedure. Him and the nurse had plenty to say on the $800 payment I would need to give them, but when I asked why a root canal was necessary, after I had already seen another dentist who never even mentioned the idea, I couldn't get a straight answer. Now I'm not saying they wanted to trick me into an extreme procedure because it would make them a lot of money, I'm just saying he seemed to miss the day where they went over the Hippocratic oath at DeVry University Online Dental School or wherever this excuse for a practice became accredited
