Not many years ago, losing a tooth left you with few options for replacement. While permanent teeth should provide a lifetime of function, it doesn't always end up that way. We know it's not always easy for you to sort through the complicated possibilities. Dr. Jocelyn Iverson and Dr. Dennis Buhler's background in restorative dentistry allow them to develop solutions for every scenario.
Established in the 1930s, 202 Family Dentistry is a true legacy practice. The original dentist was also the Mayor, and his name was Dr. Drilling (we arent kidding). Generations of dentists have cared for the families of Tulare in this building since and some of our patients are over 100 years old and have never been to another dental office!

Dr. Iverson grew up in Tulare County and graduated from Redwood High School in Visalia in 1997. She received her bachelors degree in biology from UC Davis and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from UCSF, School of Dentistry in 2005.
Dr. Iverson is committed to continuing education and takes many advanced courses each year to enhance her skills to serve the dental care needs of her patients better and provide them with a gentle and comfortable dental experience. She especially enjoys courses in the field of esthetic dentistry and finds her attention to detail, and artistic nature is suited to cosmetic dentistry. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the Tulare-Kings County Dental Society, and the Tulare-Kings County Implant Study Club.
When she isnt caring for patients, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She loves living in the town where she grew up and is grateful that her children can have a similar childhood. Together they enjoy roaming around the mountains and boating on Lake Kaweah and Pine Flat Lake.
Dr. Buhler grew up in Southern California and received his bachelors degree in chemistry from UCLA. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of California, San Francisco, School of Dentistry in 1970.

On Thursday last week I had a tooth crumble. I called immediately for an appointment. Christine scheduled me for Monday at noon. Dr. Buhler saw me and determined the tooth had not fractured. It was the porcelain on an existing crown. I explained that I was going to be out of town the next week. Dr. Buhler scheduled me for a crown replacement the next day - his day off- to do the repair. He saw me at 3:00. The crown was in place by 5:30 -after hours for Christine and Ignacio and Dr. Buhler. I am so grateful for their dedication and consideration to their patients.

Dr. Iverson and her staff offer caring professionalism at the highest levels of dentistry, with an office flow that is refreshingly unforced and attentive. I'm always impressed by the kindness of the team at 202 Family Dentistry and--believe it or not--enjoy my visits to their office.

Dr Iverson and Dr Buhlers dental staff are professional, courteous and friendly. One of their great services is in-house crowns, no temporary crown that tends to fall out or waiting 3 weeks for a permanent crown, only one trip to the office that's a plus for me. New crown is done in the office only takes about 3 hours, much more convenient. I would highly recommend them.
