Dr. Ghassan Abboud is founder and leader of 1st Family Dental. He opened the first office in Chicago, IL in 1996. Dr. Abboud received his dental and specialty training in combined prosthodontics and implants from Loyola University, Chicago.
Dr.Abboud is also committed to providing dental care for individuals in need. Dr. Abbouds philanthropic interests include providing assistance for those struggling with homelessness and poverty. He actively supports local charities and non-profits. Dr. Abboud enjoys spending time with his wife and young child, and also enjoys traveling, horses, and nature.
Dr. Joseph Akhikar graduated from Boston university school of dental medicine with High Honors. Dr. Akhikar completed the post graduate study and residency program in advanced education in general dentistry earning the Best Clinical Performance Award. He was awarded Diplomat of the American Dental Implant Association, and Diplomat of the International Congress of Oral Implantologist. He is the recipient of several awards and distinctions. He is an active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Chicago Dental Society and many more. He is the recipient of American Top Dentist award 2009, 2010, and 2011.
Dr. Joseph Akhikarhas lived in the Chicago area since 2007. He feels strongly that there is no greater reward than improving the quality of someones life, and helping them to feel confident and happy with their healthy smile.In his spare time, Dr. Akhikar enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing soccer, and traveling.
Dr. Albert (Abdullah) Abboud has been a member of the 1st Family Dental team since 2004, and as a dentist since 2011. His favorite part about practicing dentistry is that he can help you walk out with a smile, no matter how your mouth felt as you were walking in!
Dr. Albert Abboud attended Loma Linda Dental School, graduated with his DDS, and completed a residency at UIC in Prosthodontics and Implant Technology. His proficiencies include regular and deep cleanings for healthy gums and teeth, regular and surgical extractions, and treatment planning.Dr. Alberts main goal for you as a patient is simple: to learn about your dental health goals and give you great care and recommendations for your healthiest smile.

I'm so glad I decided to choose this Dentist office, Dr Riyad Nouna is absolutely AMAZING I had bridge work and a Crown done and it looks great He's a very gentle and kind soul and has a very calming demeanor that put me at ease each time I went back because I'm TERRIFIED of needles so I have anxiety when I go to the dentist, And Sylvia the dental Hygienist is AMAZING she's a very pleasant young lady and she kept me calm the whole time and she does a wonderful job as a hygienist!!! The whole staff is AMAZING A VERY FRIENDLY AND PLEASANT Atmosphere! I LOVE THIS PLACE!! IF I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE A MILLION STARS I WOULD I definitely will be returning and also I'm recommending other family members and friends

I had an emergency and my regular dentist couldn't see me for days. I was able to get an appointment for the next morning and they were really wonderful. I was in a tremendous amount of pain and they were really kind and made me feel better

Dr. Omar was very clear in his treatment plan for my root canal. He was understanding about my anxiety and let me know throughout my visit what to expect. I am so glad I found a great practice and will be able to take care of my dental needs without so much anxiety.

I was only there for an xray and assessment. However, the staff was very polite and made me feel comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place to others.

Hygienist/dental assistant was gentle and professional. Five stars bc I have a pain disorder and they were very accommodating. All of the staff are friendly and professional. Convenient location, easy to get an appointment, and clean facility.

I've relocated from the State of Georgia. I was a very loyal patient to my dental hygienist (DH) back home. Nonetheless, I needed my 6 month cleaning and was forced to venture out. I was blown away from the very beginning; from making an appointment, to the customer service at the front desk, AND the DH, Fadi. Fadi has an amazing way with patients and is the only male DH I've ever encountered; which was a breath of fresh air. He took his time to explain the issues I had with my X-ray. Cleaned my teeth thoroughly and gave me pointers on how to care for my gums and teeth..... the fact that he was attractive was a plus. If I relocate from this area, I am willing to travel because of his expertise. The Doctor was amazing as well. He took his time to explain all the findings that Fadi had previously found. What a great team!!! I didn't have insurance and paid $99.00 for the visit, cleaning and x-rays. My husband and son will be scheduling an appointment soon. We found our place!
