Dr. Ghassan Abboud is founder and leader of 1st Family Dental. He opened the first office in Chicago, IL in 1996. Dr. Abboud received his dental and specialty training in combined prosthodontics and implants from Loyola University, Chicago.
Dr.Abboud is also committed to providing dental care for individuals in need. Dr. Abbouds philanthropic interests include providing assistance for those struggling with homelessness and poverty. He actively supports local charities and non-profits. Dr. Abboud enjoys spending time with his wife and young child, and also enjoys traveling, horses, and nature.
Dr. Joseph Akhikar graduated from Boston university school of dental medicine with High Honors. Dr. Akhikar completed the post graduate study and residency program in advanced education in general dentistry earning the Best Clinical Performance Award. He was awarded Diplomat of the American Dental Implant Association, and Diplomat of the International Congress of Oral Implantologist. He is the recipient of several awards and distinctions. He is an active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Chicago Dental Society and many more. He is the recipient of American Top Dentist award 2009, 2010, and 2011.
Dr. Joseph Akhikarhas lived in the Chicago area since 2007. He feels strongly that there is no greater reward than improving the quality of someones life, and helping them to feel confident and happy with their healthy smile.In his spare time, Dr. Akhikar enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing soccer, and traveling.
Dr. Albert (Abdullah) Abboud has been a member of the 1st Family Dental team since 2004, and as a dentist since 2011. His favorite part about practicing dentistry is that he can help you walk out with a smile, no matter how your mouth felt as you were walking in!
Dr. Albert Abboud attended Loma Linda Dental School, graduated with his DDS, and completed a residency at UIC in Prosthodontics and Implant Technology. His proficiencies include regular and deep cleanings for healthy gums and teeth, regular and surgical extractions, and treatment planning.Dr. Alberts main goal for you as a patient is simple: to learn about your dental health goals and give you great care and recommendations for your healthiest smile.

The dentists were able to accommodate us with a same day pulpotomy for my five year old son. The procedure was explained well and the dentist won my son's trust over so much that he didn't need to be immobilized or held down in any way. My son left there smiling and even told me he wants to become a dentist when he grows up. Nice office and very friendly staff. Thank you for such a great experience on such an intimidating procedure for a child!

It was the worst experience ever!I come from medical field and I know how correctly has a doctor to behave and cooperate.Dr. Omari's attitude was direspectful,starting from the begining that he didn't even introduce himself,didn't ask patient's name,nor even explained the procedure he is going to do,untill a point when he showed to be rude in answers,showing no interests in cooperation.He showed disrespectful approach,rapid work but zero quality,in 2 minutes he had done the cavity cleaning, filling and sealing it with the UV lamp,that's impossible to be done fairly just in such small amount of time.I've had to ask for him to come back and finish on cleaning my son's tooth,since he still had a few stains left. Generally speaking,no ethics, no esteem, no quality.

Today this place disappointed me unfortunately and I'm not talking about the actual dentinst because he's amazing but the receptionist Margie is so RUDE!!!!! I've never came across a rude person like her in any of there locations, it got me upset because the rest of the workers are so welcoming and nice. I will continue to go back because I have a long procedure, I hope she doesn't make me feel uncomfortable and disrespected!!!

It was the worst experience I had. People are not friendly, not helpful. I was there because my daughter was having an issue with her permanent retainer. At the moment I called them to make the appointment I asked many times if I will get charge for the visit and fixed it, and I always got the response that No. But when the doctor saw her than told me I have to pay $150.00 just to glue back one point of the retainer. I the people tell me that they want to check first how bad is the problem and than let me know, I will be prepair to assume some cost, but not that the told me at the phone one thing and on the end the told me something different. You can't just take my money away and also playing with the need of Client! I will never come back there! Worst thing ever!
