I really wanted to like it here. But service only went downhill over the past couple of years. It seems instead of fixing my teeth, they use bandaids that then need to be "fixed" again. Had to go to a specialist to get everything correctly fixed that will last longer than a year. If you go here, ask questions about why they want to do this and that. Don't just accept everything they say at face value and keep records of everything that was done from every visit on a paper copy you can take home and file. I wish I did...

Sitting in the parking lot as I write this. I booked my appointment a month and a half ago for a cavity (in a lot of pain). Did my part confirming via text and email for my appointment the days before. My appointment was at 4:30pm. Its not even 4:30 yet and was already turned away from my appt. No notification that my appointment was being canceled. I had to take time off work for this appointment. This place should be ashamed of themselves. Not to mention I watched one other person get turned away while I was in there as well. Do not come here as a new patient. Apparently they have no respect for peoples time.

Absolutely awful first experience. Can I give zero stars? I will NOT be going back there. The hygienist and dentist were both rude and condescending, though the lady at the desk was polite and helpful. Nope. I'd rather let my teeth fall out of my head before going back.

Recently established here a few months ago, quick and easy initial visit with hygienist Smita who was cheery, energetic, and compassionate in ensuring coordination of my care with the Dr. Unfortunately, I then fell suddenly requiring an emergent visit. Dr. Khanna saw me immediately the next day following the accident, reviewed my ER visit and completed an in depth evaluation to make sure all was stable. Clearly described my options, trouble shooted to solve the problem, and squeezed me in for a follow up the week after. All staff are always very welcoming and accommodating, a wonderful dentist to visit in the local Troy area!

I had the best dental hygienist I've ever had today. Great cleaning, good advice, and no forced conversation that so often happens. I only wish the dentist was on site, especially since I have no idea who the dentist there is anymore since the original dentist retired a couple of years ago.

Had a scheduled cleaning today and with a new hygienist, Nicole. She is great! Very conversational, checked on any sensitivities beforehand and was very thorough in her cleaning. It would have been 5 stars but this site didn't have a Dr. on-site for my visit.

For 3 months I attempted to get an appointment but the need to have a medical clearance for a very common issue was ridiculous. They were eager to take x-rays and charge me for that but not let the doctor see me? No thank you. Their lack of attempting to re-contact me to get the proper documentation in place did not take place so they must not need patients. I took my needs and business elsewhere.

For the first time, I had to wait for 45 minutes past my appointment time. I trust that this will be corrected in the future. Otherwise, my exam and cleaning went well.

Dental cleaning went well with Smita. Love the dentists there too. Always caring and professional! If it's not broken they don't try to fix it! Very fair and professional practice!

I highly recommend 1st Advantage Dental in Troy. All the staff are friendly and supportive. Francis is a dream! She puts you at ease, really listens and makes going to the dentist almost enjoyable!
